Question time: my son will be turning 8 in the middle of our Disney trip. So....my question is for anyone that has ever done this before. Did you pack the presents to take on the plane? Give the presents ahead of time? Give the presents when we get home (he would probably be sad to not get his presents until three days later though)? Any suggestions?

How can he be sad if he's in Disney World for his birthday?!? Are they big presents, or easily packed?

I didn't mean to imply that he will not be happy to be in Disney on his birthday. However, we always go during the summer so Disney is not his birthday present. It just happens that this year we will be there during that time. I haven't bought the presents yet. Was trying to think through what to do first before I buy anything.

Congratulations! That is awesome and my dream too. We would love to own at AKL. It's our absolute favorite resort.

Sun 7/20 Dinner at Chef Mickeys
Mon. 7/21 Epcot all day then go to HS around 8:30 for the fireworks and Fantasmic at 10:30.
Tues. 7/22 Blizzard Beach, Dinner at WL
Wed. 7/23 MK all day
Thurs. 7/24 Rest day, Dinner at Ohana
Fri. 7/25 HS all day then maybe go to MK for late night rides
Sat. 7/25 AK until about 5:00 then go to MK for the rest of the day

DD is turning 9 on our trip next week. We are bringing a few small items for her to open. But I'm also planning to purchase a Disney Alex and Ani bracelet (or 2) for her at the parks. And we're also giving her a $100 Disney gift card so she can pick out her own souvenirs. Honestly, she will likely be getting tons of Disney stuff while we are there, and that should more than make up for not getting a pile of gifts!

We got Alex & Ani bracelets when we were there last week! Matching castle ones & an additional Tink for dd20.

Congratulations! That is so wonderful. We looked into buying over 10 years ago but never did. I wish we had because now with paying for DD's college there is no way we can buy currently.

Hi! Popping out of the wood work to say hi. I am heading down to WDW july 23rd - 29th. We are staying off property this time. I am going with my DH, mother and DS who will be 21 months. It will be his first trip to Disney and we are all very excited! pixie dust:

Just to let everyone know, my family and I have arrived about an hour ago to our stopping point, got some dinner and will be heading out early in the morning so we can get to Disney as early as possible. We have about 6ish hours of driving to do tomorrow. Chat with you all later!!!!
