Little late to the party but wanted to add my birthday is January 8. Not going to be at Disney for it (arrive on Jan 22) but getting a birthday button just the same.

Picked our MBs & FPs. ADRs made. Flights booked. Now I guess I just have to wait out the time.

I think it's worth it. We used to pre-purchase photopass for every trip until the last trip which was the first time we didn't mainly because I took up photography as a big time hobby. Prior to that we had gotten some good pictures that we thought was worth the price. The quality of the pictures and the skills of the photographers can vary quite a bit so during any given trip there are going to be pictures that are not so great.

I think it's worth it IF you plan to truly take advantage of the photo opportunities throughout the parks. We used it during our 1st trip a few years ago and loved it & will be using it again for our January trip. When we went a few years ago ride & dining pics were not included so it was an additional cost on top of the photo pass. We ended up with over 300 pics due to seeking out the photo ops. I recommend thinking of the rides you plan to ride, your dining ADRs with photo ops that you would purchase and the cost associated with purchasing them separately compared to the cost of the photo pass. Also consider how stoping for planned pics (purposely seeking out photo pass locations) throughout your trip will impact your vacation. With photo pass you have a limited time to edit your pics before ordering your cd. It can be time consuming to edit, size & add borders etc to pics so this is another thing you may want to think about. The pics vary in quality depending on the photographer but the majority of our pics turned out great. I really like the different trick shots available throughout the parks. For my family it's worth it because we take advantage of the photo ops throughout the parks and enjoy taking pics. Hope this helps

It is fun but corny. Food is good, everyone gets a lei and a picture before you sit down. It is long so be prepared for that. You can leave before it I over (we did because our son was getting restless)

Got some Mickey Mail today!! Came home to the envelope containing our luggage tags and info. Had some good coupons in there for Disney Quest, we haven't been there in a few years cause it didn't seem worth the cost (at least for us, we didn't play many games at all). But we may have to give it another shot. There was 2 vouchers to get it, but there are 3 of us. Does anyone know how much a child's entry is?

Somehow my subscription to this thread got cancelled and I have missed a lot! So I have some questions now....we leave in 35 days (jan 5-11...my bday is jan 8-first time celebrating a bday at Disney! anyway.....) and we haven't gotten any Mickey mail of any kind or magic bands yet. Have others starting getting those things for beginning of January trips? Also, I haven't done online check in yet. We've only stayed on Disney property once and I did it then but it didn't seem to save us any time when we got there. Any opinions on whether online check in is helpful or not? Thanks!

We arrive Jan 1 and got our Mickey mail this past Saturday. No magic bands yet though. I would think you'd get your mail this week.
I never have done on-line check in.

Hey everyone, first time posting. I'm taking my son for the first time, in January the 2-11. We're stopping at universal and ioa as well. He's gonna be 8 in march. It's his Xmas present and I've got the whole surprise figured out! He's not suspecting a thing. My question to the group is, as I said we land at orlando jan 2.. From toronto.. Yay out of the cold and snow! I haven't received any luggage tags or anything in the mail. I have done the magic bands and fast passes. We're doing a split stay, all star movies 2-6 and aoa 6-11.. Going all out for his first vacation! The magic bands show up twice on the website I guess cause were doing a split stay. I can customize my first ones, but the second say it won't update my address. I've done the online check in as well. I was wondering if ill have anything mailed out for magic bands and vouchers and such or have to wait till we check in at the holt cause were not in the states?

Quick question: I have 6 days MYW base tickets. Can I add parkhopper for 1 day only? I need to parkhop but just for one day. Thanks everyone!

Hi Jenn, I'm not sure about Canada, but I'm from abroad as well and I'm definitely not getting anything by mail. I'll be picking up my luggage myself at MCO, and I will receive my magicbands, package etc at the resort

The parkhopper is a flat fee, no matter if it's a 1 day ticket or a 10 day ticket. So you just add that option to your ticket and it's for each day of your ticket.

Today was our last day for customization too! We check in on the same day, Jan 1.
