How does it work?

Rack rate for rooms.

Adults pay children's price for tickets..minimal savings between the 2 prices.

Adults pay children's prices for meal plan
values come with quick service for child's price $14 something
Mod's DDP for child's price. $17.16

The only snag..if you want to upgrade the dining plans you pay the initial kids price but the upgrade is the actual price difference of the adult plan as per normal. Not kids prices for the upgrade.

Not nearly as good as free dining.

Saw on the Facebook group this morning that while the website wasn't working for ADR's, they called and got Yachtsmans. I called and got it! Huzzah I got every ADR I wanted (plus one!)

We're headed to Disney for our first family trip ever! (This will also be my first trip to disney ever too!! )
We're waiting to see what deals/specials are before we book but we're certain we'll be there the 20-25 (MAY change for a longer stay ..or possibly different dates. We'll know in oct when my husbands vacation calendar for next year comes around)

I went to Blizzard Beach when I was in WDW in Jan 2012 and I thought it was perfect! Not cold, so you won't be cold and not, so hot you won't burn your feet! Just make sure you don't go on a chilly day because you might encounter one.

Add me to the list! We will be there from Dec. 30-Jan. 6th, either staying at the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge. I'll know more tomorrow morning after I hear from my TA.

As you can see from my ticker, this is the third time we have scheduled our trip this year. I was diagnosed with cancer in Oct. 2012 and we were originally going to go in June. However, I was in the hospital in late May and we decided to postpone it to late July. This time, we were supposed to be leaving this Sunday, but DH's company is having some major trouble right now and his boss wouldn't approve but also wouldn't disapprove his vacation. I cried all last night and most of this morning as this trip was supposed to be us celebrating that chemo was over. I only cried about a total of 15 minutes when I found out I had cancer--two weeks after the fact.

Anyways, I know it will be busy the time we are there, but we are old pros at WDW at busy-esque times. Since I am a teacher, we have gone before at Spring Break and during July 4th week.

What a wonderful way to celebrate...even if it is delayed a few months. So sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but glad that you are here to celebrate! The end of December will be extra magical with all of the Christmas decorations..making it totally worth the wait.

That is so sad but you will have an even more wonderful time when you do go. You will remember everything that you have overcome in the past year/18 months and then the Disney magic will be even more magnified!
