Yes I am staying at BLT on points checking in Jan 5th and I have been able to customize MBs (but no FP+ yet).

Checking in BLT on Jan 10 with DVC points, all tickets linked, but no option to customize MBs as of yet.

I asked an internet friend of mine who's down in WDW right now who is a DVC member staying on points when she was able to customize her MagicBands. She said about 30 days out.

Is the photo pass plus worth it? The only character dining offered is the royal table and you already get a photo there, so it would be the rides. Whew I'll be there January 19th... So excited for all of our first time in WDW!

We got it in May and loved it! We had a few character meals booked so we got the the print packages from them. It all depends on if you like ride photos or not. We could only ride a few with a 1 and 2 year old.

That had been the case. January customization is coming alot earlier.

There are people here with DVC points arriving in early January who have been able able to customize their bands already.

We thought it was worth the value for our stay of 11 days. It is good for up to 14 days, so that might be something to factor in. More pics = better value.

Meals: We received the photo packages at Chef Mickey and Tusker House. Actual prints and paper frames/folios.

Rides: It was also great to capture our DS riding the bigger rides for the first time. And having pics from the other rides is fun, but I wouldn't have bought them.

Magic shots are really nice to have, too. Buying individual pics after your trip is a complete rip off.

I did get a little obsessive about finding PP photographers and maximizing our pics taken. We also did some "other" things with our DS like Jedi Training and the Pirate show (outside PotC) that I would have ordered the pictures - that would have cost a fortune.

Being that this is your first trip, I would definitely consider PP+. You're going to want the ride pics (if you ride the bigger rides), and you'll end up with more pics with everyone in your party. (If you choose not to get PP+, the PP photographers will take pics using your camera - so make sure you ask!)

Date same for me, but paying normally, not yet paid in full though. Also can't customize yet. Just adding more destabilizing, asking as we get them before we leave I'll be happy

I see the screen shot, and I'm sure you have done this but have you gone to manage magic bands? Nothing appeared on the screen that you are showing, I had to click on magic bands to get them customized.

As for me, I have some oddness with linking to my parents' reservation. Since I'm going to be making our FP+ reservations, I wanted to do it for all 6 of us. That was all fine but my dad wasn't showing up as having the ability to have FP+. So, my mom and I had to create an account for him and then link him to me and her. Strange. Now it shows that I have the ability to make FP+ for all of us. Just have to see when/if FP+ shows up for us.

Mine still says link but we have tickets as part of our package but they won't show up anywhere. I called it and the guy just basically told me that is how it is supposed to be

We are staying at the Dolphin. I am thinking our best bet is to buy our park tickets at the Dolphin desk when we arrive. Maybe by that time they will be included with the other Disney resorts for magic bands? This used to be so much easier! Lol

But if you do that then you won't be able to reserve FP+ ressies in advance of your trip. You can only do that if you have tickets bought ahead of time.
