**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

We will be driving, leaving either after work/school on Friday and driving through the night or getting up super early and driving through the day on Saturday. We have a hotel room just offsite and will check into Pop on Sunday morning before heading to the MK.

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

We are driving from NC. We will leave Friday morning and drive down to Orlando staying off site that night. Saturday morning we will check in at OKW and then be off to the parks!

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

I am flying and meeting up with Mom at our transfer hub and then letting Magical Express do it's magic. I loved ME last time, they show a little video while you are on your way from the airport, but we are so excited we taked and didn't really watch it, and it plays Disney music but the best part is when they pull into your resort and it says, "Welcome Home!" I love that.

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

Yeah new question  (I get excited over the littlest things) :goodvibes.

We are traveling to Disney by plane.....if we drove (we live in a suburb of Chicago) it would take us 20+ hours to get there :scared1:, therefore we fly since it only takes us about 3 hours going that route.

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

Flying with Southwest from Buffalo, NY to Orlando. Then we will be renting a car for the week. While I will miss DME, and the recordings on the Disney buses..I do not miss the time it takes to get around with them. I love my rental!!

By plane, Bruxelles-Chicago then Chicago-Orlando....My first flight....:scared1:

I get really scared flying too, but it's just me. Don't be scared. It is kind of fun traveling and looking out the window at the ground below. It looks like a patchwork quilt. Well, over land anyway, over ocean is probably b.o.r.i.n.g. so take a book to read or bring your ipod and some favorite tunes. I got some awesome pictures once of our plane silhouetted in the clouds as it was sunrise when we taking off and it cast a cool shadow on the clouds so I got some great pics of it! I have flown a lot of times and never ever had any trouble and had great take offs, smooth flights, and easy landings. Even with my nerves, being in the plane and flying is way less stressful and nervewracking than driving in Houston or Dallas traffic. I'm a foodie too, so I have my favorites places to snack at the airports. Like my breakfast tacos at the airport in Houston. I can't remember the name of the place though it's next to Harlan's barbecue (which isn't very good so skip it if you want real bbq, but it is okay and a different choice from McDonald's). And Starbucks coffee, I don't usually buy it although we have shops around here, but at the airport it is a treat and I will splurge on a cup. And at nearly $5 for 1 large coffee, it is a splurge. I love the caramel machiatto drink!

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

I live in Arizona...........so flying.
BFF lives in Washington...........so flying.
We are meeting in Dallas for our plane change, so a few hours to talk and go over plans.
We are flying FIRST CLASS too!! (that means free baggage ;) We love shopping). Can't wait!!

I just found this website! We will be there for the Disney Marathon. We will be celebrating my husband completing his first. We are considering running the 5k together, but that is up in the air.

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

We always drive, I am terrified of flying. We wil probably leave on the afternoon of Jan 7th and find an offsite (gasp) hotel to stay the night, but we will probably arrive late. We are only a 6 to 7 hours drive that time of day.

My husband found out that his Retention NCO is running the marathon while we are there.

Ok, I posted this on our facebook page, but we will probably be arriving late on Jan 6 and need a place to stay off site. We were just going to drive to Ocala and stop, but Dh said he wasnt to go all the way to Orlando. I had been looking at the Seralago (they offer a great military discount), but I saw some not so good reviews recently.

Anyone have any suggestions? We could always stay at Pop the first night, but I was hoping to find something a little cheaper, since we will just be crashing there.

I've run in a few 5ks in my area and I've convinced my DH to run with me! He's not so much into running so we might be mostly walking/sometimes running. :rotfl:

I can't wait!!:cool1:

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

We used to fly, then drove once we had 2 kids and now we take the Autotrain!:cool1::banana:

It's such a neat experience, gets us there faster and more pleasant than driving and we can pack all our stuff ... which will be really nice for January when we'll probably be packing a little of everything.

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

We're flying. I hate to fly but between time constraints and weather concerns there's no practical way for us to drive all the way to FL when we're traveling in the winter/during the school year.

Question of the day:

How are you planning to travel to Disney??

Non-stop flight from Minnesota to MCO...a little over three hours to get from snow and BRRR, to sun and AHHHH....using DME. Will consider renting a car for all or part of our stay, only if a REALLY good deal shows up.

You are definitely the craftier one here!! Look forward to seeing your creations!!

Right now I'm finding myself a bit stuck for inspiration... I was playing with snowflakes but trying to think of something more fun/warm/happy since I hate snow so very much, but I'm coming up blank... No holiday, no special event, nothing to point me in a direction. March really was easier, with Mardi Gras and Flower & Garden for obvious themes!

I'm going to finish up the hidden Mickey snowflake design I'm working on but I'm still hoping something a little different will jump out at me between now and then.

HAHA!! I'm so with you on the foodie thing!! I HAVE to have a smoothie from the Buffalo airport and I am looking forward to seeing a new airport this time around and checking out the food selection!! Sad, but true!!

The March one was awesome!! I even used it to compare to our snowflake so we could get a decent shape for the mickey head, ours doesn't even compare . I want to see your snowflake design! I agree that we are trying to get away from the snow, but like you said with no holiday to inspire us we are kind of stuck.
