**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

Made our ADR's this morning, but some places haven't opened up yet. i did Le Cellier.

Booked our airfare last week and booked our room Jan 26-30. We're staying at Pop for the first time. :scared: I've never stayed at a value before, but we figure since it's such a quick trip we won't be in the room long why waste money.

New on the thread - just booked our WDW Dream vacation with our kids - Jan 8-15, Poly - club level with the Magic Kingdom View. Once in a lifetime, I say!

Our youngest is 6 and while she's been to WDW, she wasn't even 2 yet and has NO idea she has been there. I can't wait to see her face! Our son is 9 and remembers pieces of it - this is our first onsite stay too.

Can't wait! (need to make a sig and get a ticker...so it's official official!)

We're (so far) sticking with our dates of Jan 5-12, and I switched from pop to assp!!
We made 2 adr's (which is more than I've ever made before, lol),
Fri, 1/6 lunch at rose and crown
And
Mon 1/9 dinner at sci fi

What are you flying? I need to book my dad a ticket so he can fly down to join us halfway through our week, but Southwest won't let me book that week yet. They only have the first week of Jan. up. He can't take the whole week off and drive down with us. :(

We're flying JetBlue out of Newburgh, NY. Their fares have been up for a couple of weeks.

Booked most of the first 10 days of our ADRs
Downtown had nothing, so I assume not loaded in the system yet :(

I have a few more to do.

So room....booked.
Air....booked

Need to do a tour still and ME and we are ready for Jan. 7 to be here :woohoo:

The CM I talked to yesterday said a few things hadn't been loaded, I tried Akershus and it still isn't loaded, I have also bee trying to House of Blues and Ragland Rd. Also, Hoop-De-Doo isn't bookable online right now, I will have to call either on my lunch break or this evening when I get home.

With all the crap I have had to deal with between this weekend and this morning, I am more than ready for Jan 6 to be here. And if it gets any worse, we may not be able to go anyway :headache:

With only 6 days left to make ADR's I'm starting to try to work out our plans. This is what I have so far.... What do you think?:confused3

Friday - we arrive late afternoon and check into BCV- we usually just hang out at the hotel and grab something at the hotel to eat. Maybe a trip to Beaches & Cream so we can all share the kitchen sink, depending on when we get in. We're still waiting on Airtran/Southwest to release schedules for mid January, hopefully on the 26th.

Saturday - MK AM and DTD at night. Breakfast at CP before park opening, QS for lunch probably Cosmic Rays, back to BCV for pool time and nap time, Wolfgang Puck Express for dinner (ymm).

MK is is listed at an "avoid" park on the free touring plans, but we always start our trip out at MK, I doubt we'll change it now. Besides the crowds at their worst really aren't that bad in January.

Sunday - HS in the AM and Epcot at night. Breakfast QS, lunch QS (not sure where yet) and a trip to Starring Rolls for cupcakes somewhere in there, then back to BCV for nap/swim time and dinner at Via Napoli.

All the parks except MK are listed as recommended this day.

Monday - Epcot in AM and MK at night. Breakfast at Cape May, lunch QS (Tangierine Cafe for me), again BCV for nap/swim time and dinner is up in the air. We want to watch the electrical parade and (hopefully!) get to do the Dessert Party this night.

Epcot is the only park listed as recommended.

Tuesday (last day at the parks) - AK in AM and MK at night. Breakfast QS, lunch QS (Yak & Yeti for me), I'd like to do a TS dinner at MK, but I can't decide what. Maybe the Plaza or Liberty Tree, but I've heard mixed reviews on both. Thoughts? I'd also like Alex to see the daytime parade.

The only park listed as avoid is Epcot

Wednesday -departure day. I'm leaving this day completely open since we again have no idea on when we'll be leaving to catch our plane.

Hi all- there are a number of people going the same week or close to us (Jan 21-28) If interested I would love to organize a photopass share- PM me for more info :)

Hi all, we are at the world Jan 1-8th and wondering if anyone has been able to get any ressies at Akershus or breakfast at CRT??? SO frustrating!!!!!

No for Akershus, yesterday theCM told me it hans't been loaded for reservations for January yet and to keep trying. I guess that is the problem with CRT as well as some of the DTD restaurants, too.

Yes. Have seen nothing for CRT and T-Rex is unavailable too. A thread on the restaurant board said that calling T-Rex directly was the way to go. Still trying for CRT several times a day. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Was able to get all my other ADRs - Garden Grill, Tuskerhouse, Jiko, Sci-Fi Dine in.

I also had loads of trouble using Internet Explorer because it kept booting me out. So I ended up using Google Chrome.

I got everything else, except for The Plaza, including Le Cellier dinner.

I tried to book Hoop-de-doo yesterday, but because I want to use the dining plan to pay, I had to wait until today, however it won't go past Oct. and I think that is because they are changing the show times. I will call for that one tonight when I get home. If the CM had done it yesterday, I would have had to pay in full because our first night is a room only.

I will list all of mine when I get on tonight. We are going to get a busy eating week.

Ok, I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and have confirmation that Akershus, Raglan Rd, and House of Blues haven't been loaded for January 2012 yet.

I did get Hoop de doo for the night I wanted, woohoo!

Southwest will be releasing their Jan 7th-March 9th schedules on July 26th.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I hope they get loaded soon! Congrats on your Hoop De Doo ADRS!! I'm trying to convince the family that they'd like going.

Thank you, Dh and I are looking forward to Hoop de doo. I checked again this morning and it still isn't loaded. I will keep trying several times everyday and call when I get home each evening. Maybe if enough of us call in, we can get them to load them...:lmao:

We got Hoop De Doo 6:15 show for the 4th, Chrystal Palace for the 6th breakfast.
We have to call back for Akershus the 5th, Saana's the 7th, and Whispering Canyon the 8th. Hope the pixie dust comes through and we get these places....

just bumping my question if anyone has any thoughts...TIA :goodvibes

does anyone know if the mini golf places are usually closed for rehab in Jan at all? in particular Fantasia Gardens :confused3 our kids have been wanting to do mini golf for the past 3 trips and it has yet to work out...I figured Jan would be the time to do and we have it very well planned into one of our days...but we really want to do FG vs WinterSummerland...

I was looking on the rehab/refurb listings on the main wdwinfo page and notice Fantasia gardens was listed there under golf courses but w/ no info...

just curious and a bit worried now  could it be a place holder because it does go down for rehab seasonally?

TIA

I really like your plans sound great getting to each park plus plenty of rest time :thumbsup2

for your TS Q...have eaten at LT but not the Plaza...we had a bit of a wait at LT, but thought the service was wonderful and really enjoyed the food! :goodvibes

also I see that you have stayed at BLT (we are DVC members there) and were debating staying at BCV or BWV for a 2013 trip...but were a bit nervous on the buses to the other parks...how would you rate it in comparison to BLT service
