The Official January 2010 thread*NEW*Sorted by resort and ADR Link!

We will be there January 23 - 31. It was supposed to be just DH and I, but it looks like DS 25 will be joining us. We have yet to be at Disney with out at least one of the "kids". The truth... We like it that way!

We are going Jan 6-13 and staying at AKL in a savanna view room. We are soo excited! We stayed at POFQ in September 09 and I had a miscarriage at 12 1/2 weeks pregnant during our stay and the last 3 days of our trip was ruined. I needed surgery and stayed in our room. This is our redo trip and went all out on it and really can't wait. Me, dh and dd 3 years old!

We love AKL! We stayed on Uzima savannah for half the time and Arusha for the rest. FYI - the Uzima view was WAY better.

You are going to have such a great time!

We leave Chicago for MCO on Jan 15 and return Jan 23. We're staying in Indian Creek. Already making plans to meet up with one DIS'er, would love to meet some others.

We just booked our trip two weeks ago and I'm still on cloud 9!

We are going from Jan 16 - Jan 23rd. We just moved to SC from PA, so this will be our first time driving instead of flying. I love not having to worry about packing stuff in suitcases following all the airline restrictions. ;)

We are staying at the WL. It will be our 3rd time at The Lodge.

ADRs are...
Sunday 1/17 - LTT dinner (hooray for the characters!)
Monday 1/18 - Sci Fi for a late lunch
Tuesday 1/19 - Ohana Character Breakfast (our fave) & WCC for dinner
Wednesday 1/20 - Garden Grill for dinner
Thursday 1/21 - LeCellier (only for myself & DH!)
Saturday 1/23 - Cape May Breakfast

We will be there at the same time. The 23rd is my birthday!

Isn't the WL just magical? It feels like home every time we visit it.

Also, Cape May breakfast is one of our favorites! We'll be there on Wednesday, the 20th. Have a fabulous vacation!

Hey! We are from Berlin, NJ too. And will also be at WDW from Jan 10 - Jan 17! What a coincidence! But we are staying at VWL. I am with you regarding the weather. I am also praying for warmth and sunshine. The last time we were in WDW in the winter, it was very cold! Here's to a great trip in only 51 more days!

Did everyone get their plane tickets, if flying? I've been checking EVERYDAY for the past couple months and the cheapest I've been finding from Detroit to Orlando has been near $300/person

Today, I found them for $224 total and I want to jump on it. How much have you guys been paying for airfare (if you don't mind sharing of course:))
Thanks!!

I purchased airfare from Detroit to Orlando about a month or so ago. Including taxes and fees we paid $150 per person round trip. Got a great price! We are flying Airtran leaving around 2pm on Saturday, Jan. 9 and return flight leaving around 3pm on Sunday, Jan. 17. Looks like you are going closer to the holidays, so I bet you're gonna have a harder time finding the deals. Good luck--keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hello Snowbirds! May we join in?
I, my DS13, and DD11 will be at CBR January 15 - 22, booked on the 3/4 promotion.
I got $52 Southwest Getaway fares from DC back in October, woo-hoo!
I haven't been to WDW in January for about 20 years. We'll be there on MLK Birthday, but we plan to spend a couple of days enjoying the resort(s)/pool(?)/DTD, so if that weekend is very busy, we'll bail from the parks. I hope crowds aren't too bad - now that kids are in middle school, I won't take them out of school for more than a day or two, and MLK week is the only week they have 3 days off already. I won't go over Christmas, Easter, or summer. So it looks like MLK week for us from now on!

I've stayed at CSR, but this will be the kids' first time on-site. We've always had a timeshare before.

I'm not doing the basic dining plan, but am considering the QSDP. I know the kids would get a kick out of being able to order their own snacks when hungry and paying with their cards. I've made reservations at Kouzzina (breakfast), LTT (breakfast), Tusker House (breakfast), Le Cellier (dinner), and Les Chefs (mid-afternoon dessert to see Remy). If we go with QSDP, I will cancel Le Cellier, and at least one of the breakfasts.

We don't actually fly home until the 23rd, so I'm trying to decide if I want to add a day at CBR or at a Deluxe for one night (if I get a PIN or a good discount). If we do QSDP, I'll definitely make a separate reservation, because I don't want the DP for that last day. I know we will be ready to stop eating by then!

So many decisions!! In the meantime, I'd better get to packing, because we are going to spend Thanksgiving at Williamsburg.
Happy planning all!

We added a night at the beginning of our trip!!

So, now we check in on Jan 2 and go home on Jan 10. We are still staying at the BWV!!

I got all our dining reservations booked back in October, but completely forgot to come back here to post about them.

We got:

Le Cellier
Hoop De Doo
Chef Mickey's (Birthday celebration for ds3) pirate:
Mama Melrose's
Chefs de France

Hmm....I am missing one, but my list is on my computer at work. :rotfl: I'll have to add them later.
