Need to rent a minivan, as we are 4 adults and 3 children. It appears Alamo has a good last minute special running right now for $249, plus, plus which ends up totalling just over $340 for the week (Jan 31 - Feb 7). I read all the codes/coupons on "mousesavers" and tried to combine them with the "IG" code that got me the $249 rate but the rate did not change in each case?

Reading all the threads I feel someone may have some good insight on how I can get an even better deal then I am seeing right now.

FYI - Arriving Jan 27, staying on Diseny from the 27th - 31st, then leaving disney resort to stay in a house for the next week, so it would be good to be able to pick up the Minivan at WDW and return to the airport - if possible.

This may not even be possible but... I made two minivan rentals many months ago and it seems I got a great price 219 with tax for the week. I have to cancel one because I got a better deal on a car for my brother. If it is possible (I see there is a spot that says "change reservation") I might be able to switch the name on it if anyone can use it. It is reserved for Jan 16th (11AM) to Jan 23 (10AM) from National. I reserved it through priceline and you pay at the counter. Not name your own price that you pay ahead of time.

Don't know if the free additional driver is important to you or not since Thrifty or Dollar is $370 including taxes using link from Orlando Magic Card. The Alamo rate of $340 does not include free additional driver and normally is an extra $10.00/day.

Thanks for the codes and coupon for Alamo. I am now down to 142.05 for compact from 1/22-1/31 with costo codes. could not figure out how to make it 139, but now i am down from the 177 I was at with a mc code and $25 coupon.

I read somewhere that if you are a Costco member that you get the additional driver free with ALamo - am I misreading things....possible given the large amounts of posts I have been reading trying to get the best rate.

I can't use Hotwire as they don't do one way rentals. Could try Priceline but I don't think I'll bother at this rate. I like to pick my car out. Don't mind the shuttle, I'll shuttle over, use the kiosk and come back for the family.

I don't have it either but apparently it's an e-coupon and shouldn't be necessary. We'll be using the Kiosk just to be sure.

ugh- I tried this for 1/21 - 1/27 and it was $259 all in for a midsize (or larger). I'm tearing my hair out over this rental. We've never paid that much to rent a car in Orlando.

I hope I don't regret this...after reading this thread yesterday, I used Priceline.com this morning for a car rental. I have never used Priceline. I got a midsize from Hertz for $10 a day Jan. 19-23. I was accepted (got an email) in maybe 60 seconds...now I'm wondering if I should have put in a lower bid.

National, since a free Emerald Club membership allows you to avoid the desk/kiosk and walk right to the lot.

What code/coupon/website is giving you 199+ for Alamo or National and for what dates?

Hi all. We are at WDW now arrived 01-06-10. There were many Impalas and several Dodge models we took a Dodge Avenger with 800 miles on it. This was at 10:30 am B side.
