The Official Harper's Island thread starts 4/9/09....

One thing I don't understand is that I read that Harper's Island has not been renewed for the fall. How on earth could they renew it once half the cast is killed off and they solved a murder? Would the few survivors come back to Harpers Island for another wedding and another relative of Wakefields shows up and starts killing them?

There was no plans to renew it,it was only supposed to run for the summer.

ok, I was so wrong, but glad for it. When the 2nd episode started, & it showed Madison & Shea and they told everyone was dead, I was like "WHAT?!?!?"

Pretty good series. Kept you guessing through each episode.

I really, really enjoyed this show. It wasn't perfect, but what is? It was entertaining, had a good cast, they weren't afraid to show the hardcore killing for the most part, they didn't give things away easily. Lots of red herrings thrown in which is always fun.

I guessed it was him (won't say his name in case someone hasn't seen the ending yet) but I always pick someone I don't truly believe it will be. By Scream 3, I was sure the killer was Sydney!!

I wish they'd put more shows on like this. Can't wait for the DVD to rewatch it, knowing who the second killer was.

OMG I am so glad it wasnt my little hottie!! So didnt want to believe it was who it turned out to be...that was kinda sad. The video at the end was really creepy. And can I just say when they opened the garage door and there was Jimmy I let out a little sigh of relief and a chuckle...pathetic I know. They really should do more like this. This was a very interesting story...started out slow but I love how they did answer all the questions at the end. Not like some I could name Xfiles where they string you along and tell you NOTHING. Heres hoping LOST tells all when the season ends this year.
Has anyone heard if this is gonna be something they are gonna do yearly? I think we should all write the TV station and tell them to keep it up

Jimmy is so freaking cute.

I had an idea who the accomplice was from the 2nd show but I couldnt tie him to anything. He never seemed to be in the available places.

It was a great series.

We loved it!!! I had Henry pegged when he was ALWAYS so calm, always wanted to tell everyone slow down and think...and am SOOOO glad Jimmy and Abby were together in the end! My dd and I watched this with her bff and my bff every week (yep they are a dm and dd too). We are going to miss this series, but can't wait till the DVD comes out with all the extras. My dd's fav was Cal and was so upset when he met his end

When I was watching the episode where JD died, I strongly suspected who the killer was (didn't know for sure about John Wakefield), but I dismissed the thought! So I wasn't totally surprised, but I thought the whole show was so much fun!

I dont like that "Wakefield" was alive and came out of nowhere towards the end. He wasnt even a 'suspect" on the website. NOT FAIR!

I just want to know WHY did the chief of police tell everyone that Wakefield was dead....and why did everyone believe that he was dead????????? This makes no sense to me.

It was fun, but the plot was soooooooo filled with holes. Much made no sense at all. Like the cops "doing a full invesigation" and telling the weird kids Mom that everyone was dead. OIY!

Anybody up for "Return to Harpers Island"???? Maybe Abby & Jimmy will return for their Wedding!
