If I remember right, in the season finale, Derek & Meredith were supposed to get married, but Alex & Izzy ended up gettting married instead. So Derek and Meredith exchanged post-its in the locker room, saying something about love and marriage. So now they say they are married on a post-it, but not legally married.

Well I have to admit....Grey's is at best an okay show now for me. All the fighting and whining is making me nuts! My new fav is Private Practice! I LOVE Addison. Anyway - where is KH?? (Izzy) I thought they were allowing her to return to the show full time? Here character seems to have been fired and she just vanished. Not sure about the new characters yet. I still miss George!

I watched and did not like it last night.

I too LOVE Private Practice

KH I think is busy with her new baby she adopted so I bet that is why they have her gone from the show for a bit.

She's filming a movie, she'll be missing for five episodes.

I heard Merideth might not miss any episodes though since she got so much filmed before she had her baby.

I agree, Greys is not one of my Must See shows on Thursday night. We watch it on Friday night when there is nothing else on TV. Greys doesn't beat out The Office in our house on Thursday.

I'm still watching, faithfully. I swoon over Patrick Dempsey so I'll continue watching just to see him. :lovestruc

I wasn't at all happy with the hospitals merging though, and all these new characters coming on. I don't mind it when a new character shows up occasionally, but a bunch all at once? Not so much. I wish most of them would leave.

Glad to hear Izzy will be back, and why didn't the writers just incorporate Meredith's "real life" pregnancy into the show? I want to see more of her and Derek. :lovestruc

I thought last night's episode was good, with all of them being interviewed about the patient's death. It was different.

I enjoyed last night's episode, but I like that style of story telling. I wouldn't want to see that every week though.

I did like last night's episode but overall, I am not liking the whole "merge" storyline, maybe for a couple of episodes but there are just too many people and focus isn't on the main characters of the show anymore.

I agree. It was a nice change of pace, but not every week.

I think the new characters are just a way to fill in for Meredith and Izzy's absences.

I am over the merger story line. Do you think they will keep any of the other doctors by the time they are done with this? I hope that "nosedive" doesn't make it. I am sick of him.

I missed why Meredith was in the hospital bed. Can someone clue me in? I get that Ellen is/was pregnant and they wanted to hide her real life pregnancy and couldn't use her. But what happened to her character?

Her dad came in needing a liver transplant. Lexi wasn't a match so she asked Meredith... Meredith was a match so she donated to save Thatcher's life. :thumbsup2

I kind of liked last night's episode too, it was more interesting than some of the other recent episodes. But I have to agree with some of the other posters that Private Practice has just had better shows lately. :thumbsup2

I definitely liked last night's episode. It was totally different from any other Grey's episode which was good. Sadly the one who was fired was the only Mercy West one I was starting to like:sad1: Oh well! I think that the first episode with the Mercy West people was just so ridiculously chaotic that I couldn't understand where they were going with it. Last night's cleared that up a bit when Derek and the chief talked in the end so that was good.

Oh, and I know that Izzie is coming back since Katherine Heigl is just shooting a movie but I hope that this doesn't break Alex and Izzie up!!! I have been an Alex and Izzie fan from day one:lovestruc

Can someone explain something to me? Why was that Mercy West doctor fired for forgetting to look in the throat, but Izzy could cut an LVAD wire and she's still allowed to work (until she got fired years later)? And as a resident, while you're responsible, ultimately, it's the attending that is supposed to be supervising who gets the blame, because they are the patient's physician, even if they rely on the residents to keep them informed. Every attending I have worked with has seen their own patients, basically rely on the residents and interns for the day to day stuff, to keep them updated of changes, make decisions, but the attending still always comes and sees the patient.

Maybe it's the whole thing, where if you're in the field, it's just too frustrating to watch. I need to stop watching it because every time I do, I want to pull my hair out. And yet, I can't stop watching it. I record it every Thursday and watch it on Friday. No clue why.

.

Because Izzie is a central character, and the other guy is not. Izzie was placed on probation (and that took special pleading), and Bailey's reputation suffered.

I'm probably in the minority here but I'm really getting tired of Derek's attitude with the Chief. The Chief has been a good guy to all of them for years, especially Meredith, so I'm not liking the attitude.

I also am not liking the whole merger thing. In this economic climate I'm tired of everything merging and all the job drama. Can't it be about saving lives (isn't that drama enough??)

For the past 2 weeks, I decided to watch Greys Anotomy from the Beginning so I rented all the seasons and watched it. OMG, I LOVE THIS SHOW. I cannot believe that I was missing out on it. It is now my most Favorite show on TV. George's story was the saddest. Why did he leave the show?
