Do you think McSteamy is going to be a nice guy now? He seems to have softened over the summer...and I like it!

I love Patrick Dempsey but he looked so tired....did anyone see the preview during Grey's for the new Disney movie he's in? It's called "Enchanted", I can hardly wait!

Did anyone else think it was awkward when Lexie realized he was the guy at the bar and Meredith realized she was the girl at the bar and she was her sister? ODD!!

So, we saw how Burke was written off, I didn't really miss his character...

Well, so now Izzy has saved a deer I almost died when George showed up at the door... I bet Cally is pregnant though....

McDreamy nailed what Mere's problems are with intimacy. What a great speech he gave McSteamy.

Christina was realizing what she lost (the chance of having a good man, true love, family, etc.) Her speech to the man that had the injured neck had me in tears.

Alex is pining for Ava (what was the name? Rebecca?) and I love how Bailey stood up for him against Callie.

Chief spilling his love life details to Bailey and the way Bailey ran from him everytime he wanted to explain his decision to her... CLASSIC BAILEY! Once he did have her as a captive in surgery, what he said made sense and she WILL thank him for making Callie Chief Resident!

Izzie is back to her rambling, odd self. I wonder does she really love George or does she love the thought of being loved? I also think Callie is pregnant!

Lexie - well you had to know that the "You're the girl at the bar" moment was going to be made into something. It was far to convenient that she met Derek that way! Her advice to George - while in front of the nursery - could easily of have been Mere talking. They seem to have some very similar traits!

Mere choosing to head to Derek when given a choice (what's up with the lobby tug of wars?) but hey, she has a history with him, not with Lexie.

I think Grey's is going to ROCK this year!!!

Loved last night's episode, I truly felt like Grey's is back and we can just put aside that angst ridden 3rd season and forget all about it! That break up kiss (smokin' hot! ) at the end sealed it for me.

I agree with your WHOLE post! To add, I think Mer's "choice" of Derek vs. Lexie was more of a snub on Mer's part - kind of like a "so there!" I got the guy kind of thing but I also think that there will be more, deeper level of not choosing family, etc. Although I hate to see Mer/Der not be a couple, I think that they are better when they aren't well a couple. Conveniently she was more willing to "give" to McDreamy while she stated "so now we're broken up". I agree that it's not finished and hope McDreamy has it in him to fight for her and make her realize not all people are like her parents - mom was too professionally driven and didn't connect with her and then at the end with the alz. didn't know her and dad took off, abandoned her so she has no basis of a "good" relationship. I hope that Christina gives Mer a talking to regarding how she feels without Burke now and it opens Mer's life of everything is "fine".

I missed the part where the chief explained why Bailey didn't get chief resident. Anyone care to fill me in?

I am having a really hard time with the George/Izzy/Bambi thing. I give a lot of license to tv shows when it comes to whether it portrays reality, but healing a deer hit by a truck by shocking it in the parking lot, and linking it to the troubles / romance of George and Izzy, was just too much for me.

I LOVED how all the new residents gave their new interns the same speech they got from Bailey!

ACK! My plan was to watch The Office at 9 and then watch my DVRd Grey's at 10. With all that went on with our dog last night, I forgot to check the DVR before all the shows came on... like I've done every night this week.

I didn't record it. I just saw the last 2 minutes.

Does anyone know if they'll reair it tonight like they did last season?

Overall I liked last night's episode, but I had some issues with it. Namely that Lexi is too Meredith-like from what we've seen with her interractions with George.
I had to fast forward a lot of the Izzy scenes. She's still too mopey and wimpy this season. I did like her confronting George in the stairwell though. The love triangle between she, Callie, and George is way too tired and predictable. Especially now that George has declared his love for Izzy and for some reason (baby) he's not going to be able to leave Callie. Gag!!

I love how Christina seems to have matured emotionally over their time off.

OK so that's at least 3 people whose DVRs cut off at the end. What time did it end for everyone else, 9:02? My DVR automatically ran until 9:01 and it still cut off. I'm really sick of all this extra minute crap. They need to just end their shows on time and quit screwing with everything.
