The Official GLEE thread

Am I the only one getting tired of the "recycling"? They keep bringing back Holly, Jesse, Kristin Chenowith's character (forgot her name--need caffeine!). Why aren't the expanding the HS roles? It's supposed to be about a HS glee club. It would be easy to add extra performers, friends, etc. Even a couple more parents wouldn't be bad in the mix--maybe throw in a freshman Rachel competitor with a stage mom, or give a musician a plot line or two. It just seems like they're doing the same stuff over and over again.

If I hadn't seen the slap 137 times on the preview for this episode, I would've been surprised by it. They need to wrap up the whole Rachel/Finn/Quinn love triangle already. It's getting old. And Jesse. Ugh. Rachel's an idiot for just forgiving him like that. But I guess it she didn't, it wouldn't progress the plot line!

I would love to meet Rachel's dads!!! That could be fun! And a non singing partner for Mercedes would be a good match. Some tall, dark and handsome type guy with little to say but when he does talk...it's cool and smart. They could use someone who's political-environmentally or to really run the anti-bullying thing.

Last night's episode was pretty good. I don't know why they brought back Jesse though...wish they'd make Rachel & Finn a couple again and get it over with.

I liked last night's episode, my husband even watched for a bit (although he really just wanted to hear their rendition of "Friday"). Color me confused, but am I the only one who read the spoiler about Kurt being named Prom Queen and didn't assume they (meaning the kids at McKinnley) did it to be mean? :confused3 I don't know why but it never crossed my mind that is was a practical joke and that Kurt would be upset. However I was really happy to see Karofsky show some remorse for what he did to Kurt when they were talking in the hall. I do wonder if Karofsky will ever come out or if it'll string along forever? I can't believe the season is almost over, thank goodness I get to go see Glee Live in 3 weeks! :cool1:

Yeah, when I read the spoiler I thought maybe Kurt was actively seeking out the title. Although I knew who would win, I didn't think they would take the practical joke route either.

So, here's what I don't get.

If the kids at McKinley voted for Kurt to make fun of him, why then did they all cheer for him when he came back and took his crown?

Are they mean to him, or are they supportive of him? :confused3

I was confused as well

I think they did it to be mean, but when Kurt came back and made his "eat your heart out Kate Middleton" comment and showed them that he didn't care it blew up in their face. That and I think Karofsky not joining in with the joke showed them it wouldn't be tolerated since how Karofsky treats students seems to carry a lot of weight.

I loved last night's episode. I thought the acting was really well done, specifically Chris and Darren. I'm also extremely over the whole Finn, Quinn, and Rachel thing. I loved Quinn and Sam together, I just thought they worked really well. It bothered me that Brittany was the only person that was okay with going to prom alone. I get that Mercedes wants the fairytale prom, but it's not the end of the world. I'm sick of the way Quinn is acting, I could do without it. Kurt getting all excited about prom was adorable. Blaine's situation was heartbreaking. Jesse coming back seemed random, but I'm sure there's a point to it. The spiking the punch thing was also random.

I don't know why but I took it as someone changed it. Someone could have just slipped Kurt's name into the envelope. That's what came to my mind.

Mercedes does need a love interest but they need to stop hooking them all up with each other. Bring in someone new for her. Maybe someone who isn't a singer.
I was reading an article somewhere that Oxygen is putting on a contest that gives the winner a role on the show. Supposedly Ryan Murphy said if the winner is a male they could potentially be a love interest for Mercedes.

Principle Figgins said that Kurt won by written-in votes, I assumed the ballots had a spot of write-in votes if they wanted to vote for someone who hadn't already been in the running.

Oh, very true. I just rewatched it and heard him say that.

Has anyone heard details for next week's show? I read it's called "Funeral" and a 'beloved' character dies! They're covering Amy Winehouse and Willy Wonka.....

Love Glee...not sure I'm going to like this episode though! :sad2:

Well if the rumor I read is true I wouldn't say it's a "beloved" character (at least to me), they aren't even a regular....

If anyone watches Dr. Phil, Max Adler (Dave Karofsky) is going to be on Dr. Phil on Monday talking about Glee and bullying in HS.

If what you posted is true... I agree would not call the character beloved.. but I do enjoy their performances... so will I be sad that they won't be on again...

Yeah, I agree if it is who I think it is..but certainly an important enough character in helping to understand another character, at least to me. I think it is another dual-meaning of *death* on the couple rumor...I think a couple will break up meaning the *death* of that couple, not that the characters will actually die. Guess we will ifnd out on Tuesday :confused3
