The Official GLEE thread

Well, I give lat week's episode "two thumbs up"!:rotfl2:

Just saw the thread, I'm another Gleek :)

Oh, and I also totally knew she was faking the baby.

OMG tonight's episode was hi-larious! This was my favorite episode so far!

I am seriously loving this show!

Soooo funny! I was laughing out loud every time they danced to Single Ladies! Even DH, who was packing some boxes in the living room, was laughing.

I was disappointed that there wasn't more singing in this episode! Those are usually my favorite parts. And UGH to Quinn! How long is this going to drag out before Finn learns he is NOT the father.

Does anyone else think it's weird that their names are Finn and Quinn and it has never been mentioned on the show as something funny? Like, why did they do that? And if they needed to do that, you'd think they'd write a line in there somewhere about it being funny.

Anyway, STILL LOVE the show!

Does anyone know how it's doing? Ratings-wise?

OMG, I love this show. :) I was totally crying at the end, too, and when the dad was watching before the kick and said "he's so little" - such a sweet moment.

But wow, how much do I love Sue Sylvester! She gets all the best lines!

Not sure how weeks 2 and 3 went, but the premiere was the highest rated scripted show in two years. :)

I LOVED tonight's episode!!!

Although I too have missed the songs. But this is getting good!

I heard it was picked up for a full season, so it must be doing good.

Fox has made it official. "Glee" has received an order for a full season. In a statement, series creator Ryan Murphy said. "It's fantastic to be the first show picked up, and that this underdog series, like its characters, will get the chance to keep singing. There are so many more stories to tell." Fox President of Entertainment Kevin Reilly added that the response to "Glee" has been "remarkable." "I've seen all 13 episodes and ... they've knocked our socks off."

"Glee" premiered to Fox's highest numbers for a new scripted show in three years. A total 7.3 million viewers watched the first episode, which won its Wednesday time slot in the adults 18-49 demographic, and notched an impressing 3.5 rating.

"Glee" Ratings: Week 2

In its second airing of the fall TV season, “Glee,” the Fox comedy about a group of misfits forming a glee club, was watched by 6.6 million viewers and received a 3.1 rating in the adult 18-49 demographic, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

This represents a mild 10 percent drop from the previous week’s viewership (7.3 million viewers, 3.3 in the 18-49 demo), given the tougher competition on rival networks (”America’s Got Talent” finale and other entertainment programming) compared to the Obama health-care address the previous week. Furthermore, new shows typically show a gradual decline in viewership before leveling off.

This week’s episode — titled “Acafellas” — featured appearances by theatre vets Debra Monk and Victor Garber as well as recent Tony Award winner John Lloyd Young, and performances of the songs “This is How We Do It,” “Poison,” “Mercy,” “Bust Your Windows” and “I Wanna Sex You Up.”

Does anyone remember the show "Popular"? It was on The WB I think from 1999-2000 and it was also created by Ryan Murphy. I've been watching the old episodes and I see a lot of similarities, that show cracked me up too!

Word of warning, if you east coasters consistantly spoil the show for the west coasters, or any show for that matter, I will use my Atlantic time zone on you guys to give you a taste of your own medicine!

kidding? but I love this show, don't care if people say I shouldn't, I do.

Loved the show this past week. I couldn't stop laughing at them dancing to the Beyonce song. I may have to rewatch it.

:rotfl: I noticed the names. I think it's one of those things where it's funnier if they don't mention it!

My DVR was acting up last night, I couldn't watch it until today! My boyfriend came home for lunch and we watched it then...we couldn't wait

I loved the ending with Kurt and his Dad. I think it was a really big moment for TV. "I knew since you were 3...all you wanted for your birthday was a pair of sensible heels." :rotfl:

I think Kurt coming out to his dad was handled really well and hopefully with this being such a popular show it will help people be more understanding and help young men and women who are struggling with coming out to not be ashamed about it. Kudos to Glee.

The Single Ladies dance on the football field was completely priceless. And my goodness Lea Michelle, who plays Rachel, can really sing. Her version of "Taking Chances" was almost better than Celine Dion's. Does she remind anyone else of a young Idina Menzel?

ITA! I've been keeping my fingers crossed since the premiere that she'd sing "Defying Gravity" on one episode! Maybe they could have Idina on even! Kristen Chenowith is making an appearance.

Oh, I can't wait for Kristin Chenowith to be on! We both loved this week's episode too, even though dbf has a strong aversion to Beyonce.

I LOVE this show! I think it is something different and that makes it special. I could watch the football team do the single ladies dance over and over :rotfl2: I am really excited for next week!

I laughed so hard at that line! I was so happy that his dad was accepting...I held me breath for a few seconds hoping!

I'm so excited for kristIn chenoweth too! (haha sorry, us kristins have to stick together)

I LOVE how the promotion was all "emmy-award winning kristin.....blah blah." Good thing they got her before that because I think her rate just went UP! :lmao:
