The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

I was so sad during this epi. At the end, Luke was happy (after the song singing) and Lorelai was hungover and sad. So does that mean she will always love him but knows they shouldn't be together? Or will they be together? :confused3

If they have Rory and Logan together, I will be disappointed. I agree about the consolation prize thought, she will say yes, because it will mean that she won't have to "work" to get what she really wants. JMO

I think the reason Lorelei looked so sad is she was sad she isn't with Luke. Regretting all she did. I see a boat trip in the future for the 2...lol (this is my OWN prediction.

Rory....I don't really care for Logan...money or no...Bring back DEAN! lol (I hear the groans ladies) She has always gotten what she wants...I can't see her giving in to Logan but I guess we'll see.

Lane....What are her kids names? I got Steven...and Quan? Whan? I couldn't understand what she was saying...Where did the names come from?

To the above poster:

Steven and JUAN. Those are the names of Lane's beautiful twins. Jaun probably came from the mother....

Last night's episode was beautiful. The writing seems to have gotten back on track. Rory and Lorelai aren't so out of character, anymore, that I can now watch without complaints other than "Why isn't she with Luke?! :(". ;)

Spoilers are fun! *reads them*

I am pretty sure the babies names are Steven and Quan, one name from each culture maybe

Yes Cristi - I believe this is correct. I still with they had given some more explanation about the names though . . . oh well.

Anybody heard anything about next year yet? Sure sounds like the last show this season is wrapping things up for good - yikes!!

:confused3

Thanks! I just couldn't understand what she was saying...She seems to have adapted to motherhood quite well, now Zac being gone : ( he better not hook up with any fans...or I'll really be upset!

WOW!!!

Joint statement from The CW and Warner Bros. Television regarding "Gilmore Girls."

"Announcing the final season of 'Gilmore Girls' is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. Television. This series helped define a network and created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television's most memorable, lovable characters. We thank Amy Sherman-Palladino, Dan Palladino, Dave Rosenthal, the amazing cast led by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as well as the producers, writers and crew for giving us this delightful gem for the past seven years. We would also like to thank the critics and 'Gilmore' fans for their passionate support and promise to give this series the send off it deserves."

GILMORE GIRLS finale airs Tuesday May 15 on The CW at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

How are they going to do this in 2 weeks?!?

You know what really burns my biscuits about this announcement?

I can't believe the writers wasted this whole season with Christopher when we could have had a wonderful Luke/Lorelai year. :sad2: That is so irritating. The spoilers say they will "come to an understanding" by the series finale but not an engagement/pregnancy.

I really wish we had gotten to see where their relationship went.

Kind of figured it was going to be the end when you hadn't heard any updates on getting it renewed. This whole season has sort of been "meh" so maybe its good that its going now.

In some ways a bummer, in others, maybe not.

I wonder if Amy Palladino will come out now with how she envisioned the series ending.

I was gutted when I read that. I was really hoping for at least a shortened 8th season. I agree, too much time was wasted on Christopher this season.

I read it off of our yahoo homepage, but came here first thing when I read it. :sad1:

I didn't watch it from the start. I fell in love during summer re-runs. It was new to me. I remember watching the pilot episode, and just laughed at the first scene because it was so the show as I saw it!!

I was thinking about Amy Paladino on Tues. It was her baby! They booted her out for what? She wanted more money but they were only doing one more season. I would love to have heard what she had in mind...although I have to say the last season she was there...well, to put it nicely...I thought was disappointing.

Still sad it see it go.

Well everyone, I watched the first 4 eps of season 1 this weekend...what a difference. I think I forgot how good this show actually was. After watching them, I'm even more convinced it's probably time for it to go. I'm glad we'll get to see Yale graduation, though.

Also, anyone remember WAY back when I asked if LG had a nose job? She hasn't; it's the same nose as in season 1, LOL.

omg, I loved this episode. Rory ROCKS! And a kudos to Grandpa Gilmore. He was great. Plus, Christopher and Lorelai were fabulous together. I haven't been this enthusiastic about a GG ep since...uh, I can't actually remember. Quite possibly her Chilton graduation.

My one pet peeve...Lorelai and Sookie walk into Weston's and Lorelai says, "Hi, Sue, I'm here to pick up the cake." Signs receipt and then leaves...WITHOUT THE CAKE. I rewound it twice thinking I missed something. WTH was the cake???

Previews for the series finale look :thumbsup2: At least they're going out with a bang.

I agree completely!!!

I can not STAND Chris and love hunky Luke...:guilty:

Lauren Graham was on the "Ellen Degeneres" show, today. Anyone see it? She's gorgeous! I adore her!

Pretty much, she said, "It was time. We really had no reason to go further."

And, I believe she said something about the news coming to her whilst she was at dinner...and that they were cramming to 'cover' everything into the last two episodes.
