The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

What happened after Lorelai said she was going to go home to change before going to the Inn? My tape shut off and I didn't see the end. This was one of the better episodes though. Next week's looks really funny. I'm glad they remembered Lane still exists.

I missed last night's episode! American Idol is messing up my TV schedule for the week. My husband usually tapes G. girls for me. Anybody want to tell me what happened?

Help, we live in the midwest which was hit by the ice storm. We are grateful to have electricity, but the stations that carry GG in our area are still out. Would appreciate a recap. Thanks much.

Jen

I've taped it, but haven't watched yet. Will update if no one else does before me!

RECAP:

Rory is suppose to be planning Lane's baby shower, but as she is working on planning it she gets a call from someone at the New York Times. The day that the shower is suppose to be she is suppose to meet with this guy for lunch. Loralei takes over the planning. During the course of the planning she discovers that Mrs. Kim and Lane are fighting and works to fix the problem between them so that Mrs. Kim will come to the shower. Logan comes home drunk the night before Rory's interview at 3:00 am. The next day he finally tells Rory that his business deal is a bust. After her meeting he is suppose to drive her to Stars Hollow, but instead is going to go to Vegas with some friends to blow off steam. Luke sells his boat to Kirk and buys a bigger and better one. Right before the shower Lane felt some pain and the doctors put her on bed rest. They move the shower to Miss Patties instead of Loralei's house and wheel Lane to the shower in her bed. Mrs. Kim comes to the shower and gives Lor a door knob. The baby shower is a big success. Oh and Lane is having twin boys.

This was one of the better episodes IMO. Though just when I was starting to like Logan they make me dislike him again. GRRRR.

:cool1: Tonights show was great. Just like old times. Yea! :cool1:

...and Luke called April and he wanted to fly down to Florida and go to DisneyWorld! and Miami Beach...but he was to take her to Disney for a trip. She didn't want to go though:confused:

Saw the Logan losing on the business deal thing coming. Guess it is time for him to be a jerk now. That is what the writers do to us. Make us love the boys (Chris, Luke, Logan, even at times Zach) one week, hate them the next. Over and over. Drives me crazy!

Loved the baby shower, so cute.

Lukes sister putting his boat up for sale--how rude!! And then expecting some of the profit!:sad2:

Lorelei was getting very emotional and nostalgic tonight over everything.

Was pretty good. Happy to see Lane. Glad to have a break from Emily and Richard.

I was reading this and I noticed---I got new tags!!!!!:cool1:
I am soooo excited!!
 :cheer2:

I didn't watch last night... can anyone give me a recap? It was a new ep wasn't it?

That April is one weird kid! :rotfl: I missed last week's episode, in fact, I wasn't feeling well and didn't even realize I'd missed it until about Saturday. :rotfl2:

I did watch yesterday's show and I really liked it. Boy, Mia's changed, hasn't she? :rotfl: I hate when they slide a new actress in but I'm guessing the lady who played her before hasn't been just hanging around for those 5 years waiting to play her again.

Loved the opening scene when Lorelai was trying to talk Rory into the road trip. I do the same thing with dd--I lure into coming along with me with the promise of food. :rotfl:

I thought it was a pretty good episode. And BRAVO to Rory for not dropping everything for Logan. It's about time. I did love having Rory, Lorelai, and Emily interact for most of the show.

So, what did you all think?

Oh, and congrats to Albertan Mom on the new tags!

I missed it AGAIN! Sick baby in the house..I guess I'll be watching all of the reruns.

Congrats on your tags!

I've heard you can watch whole episodes somewhere on the net. I'll have to check it out and see what I can find.

I don't see any new episodes coming on my TIVO for the next two weeks. I assume March Madness is to blame for this (with many of the shows, not just GG). Anyone know if there will be more episodes this spring? And when?

I'll give it a shot--don't be afraid to help me out if I forget something, girls!

Lorelai was going on a road trip to North Carolina for Mia's wedding. (Do you remember Mia? She's the one who owned the Independence Inn and took Lorelai and Rory in when Lorelai ran away.) At first, Rory didn't want to go because she's getting ready for job interviews and finishing up school and felt she needed to be around for Logan.

Mitchum showed up at the apt and reamed Logan for not answering his calls, running away to Vegas, and being an immature jerk. After he left, Rory admitted she agreed with Mitchum and she and Logan got in a big fight. Rory called Lorelai and agreed to go on the trip.

Emily overheard the phone call and wanted to go down with them to visit a spa. They ended up taking her car which meant no eating in the car and showtunes on the cd player. :rotfl: I loved a scene in a roadside restaurant--Emily was appalled.

Upon arrival, Mia overheard Emily and asked her to come to the wedding, too. You may remember that Emily is still a bit ticked at Mia for taking Lorelai in all those years ago. Emily agreed to go to the wedding but was kind of snarky through the whole thing. Mia pointed out to Lorelai that it's hard to lose your dd no matter what age she is. Lorelai finally saw Emily's point of view.

Logan showed up at the wedding and Rory stood firm. She sent him packing and finally went out to see him toward the end of the party. He apologized and said he had realized he'd been a jerk and he had quit working for Mitchum.

Meanwhile, Lane and Zack invited Luke over for dinner and asked him to be the godfather for their babies. Zack was a bit freaked out about being a dad and Luke eventually reassured him. Lane gave birth to two baby boys.

At the hotel, Lorelai told Emily that she understood how it felt to lose your dd since she knew she was going to be losing Rory soon. Then they all sat down to watch The Pursuit of Happyness with Emily's boyfriend, Will Smith. :rotfl2: Apparently, she finds him VERY attractive and charming.

I didn't see the first year or 2 of Gilmore Girls, so I didn't have a clue who Mia was.

Well, it's a good thing you didn't have a chance to get attached to her because it's a different person now! :rotfl2: Sort of like the multiple Beckys on Roseanne.

I thought the ending to the show was really weird. Don't want to spoil it for anyone but Rory shows them a picture on her cell and none of them seem excited or surprised.
