You guys are so cute with your sigs going. I'm afraid I'm a bit too lazy to put one in my signature, but count me in as a Luke girl.

I must admit I'm more sad about the finale than I was before. I just watched tonight's re-run episode of 'New & Improved Lorelai' & I see now how much their relationship has deteriorated. Of course I knew it was bad since Lorelai has gone off and slept with Christopher, but I had forgotten how nice their relationship was after seeing the proposal and the events immediately following. L&L really have some good chemistry going in this episode and it all had gone to crap-ola by the end of the season. Each episode was a further and further slip into the mud and I grew so accustomed to it that I had forgotten there was some really 'nice' in theie relationship. It really does seem like ASP wanted to take the show down with her.

I'm really rooting for a L&L happy ending next season. Hey, forget the happy ending, I want it early in season 7 so we can see them enjoying their relationship for a good portion of the season.

Well I just finally watched the season finale.
I thought it was OK.

I like that Lor finally gave Luke the ultimatum. And I don't blame her for walking away. But I wish they would have showed her waking up on the couch, fully clothed with wine bottles around or something. And Christopher on the chair across from her. So we would wonder, did they just talk? Did they kiss? Did anything happen? Instead of the obvious, that yes, she was rebounding, and ran off and slept with him.

I don't understand why Rory wouldn't want to spend her and Logans last night together alone. Why have a party?
I thought their goodbye was sad. I got teary eyed, I thought Rory did that scene very well.

-The singers all over town--boring. Too much.
-Sookie and Jackson making all sorts of noise telling Davey to be quiet--too funny.
-Wish Lane would have been on.

I don't know who I am cheering for. I like both Luke and Chris. But I am ticked at Luke. I think the thing with Luke is....

...He has always wanted someone to love. Someone who needs him, someone who is 'his'. Now that he has April, he doesn't need Lorelei anymore. JMHO...

I'm so mad I've missed this thread for the last couple of days. Darn work commitments! I love that "I can take her" comment-- And Mal's explanation to her DH.

No, he doesn't sound like the gecko although DH just loves that little guy and will make dd and I hush when the commercials are on. He's particularly fond of that "pie and chips for free" phrase and will repeat it ad nauseum.

He's lived in the States for so long that his accent is kind of weird--he sounds English to us Americans but when we go to visit his family, he doesn't sound that English anymore. Plus, they moved around so much when he was a kid that no one in his family has the same accent. He was born in Yorkshire, moved to Northern Ireland when he was about 5, and then moved to southern England. He says he was always getting beaten up for talking funny so he can adjust his accent pretty easily.

I have a friend IRL that we only see every few months. Every time she sees DH she says, "Ok, Alex, talk to me now." So she can swoon. Right there in front of her fiance. I'm helping them plan their WDW honeymoon.

DH's favorite place to eat at WDW! He wasn't able to come on our last trip with us and made me swear not to eat there without him.

My favorite is the bangers and mash--he likes that and the shepherd's pie, as well. I always get the fruit & cheese plate, too, which has some yummy Stilton--or as DH and DD refer to it, "Feet Cheese."

HomeSweetDisney, my mom likes DH better than she likes any of her three dd's. He's her favorite child. If we ever get divorced, she'd never speak to me again. Oh, and the woman has never made a pie for me!

Had to drag this thread out again because I saw the Valentine's Day episode last night for the first time. How did I miss THAT?

Now I realize that this elopement stuff was actually something Luke brought up to begin with while talking with Lorelai on their weekend at Logan's parents' house in Martha's Vineyard. It makes me a little more understanding of Lorelai giving Luke that ultimatum in the season finale. I was so annoyed with her for bringing that up out of nowhere (to me--that missed a show! ) but now I understand it a bit better. I was wrong, okay, and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
