I was thinking the same thing about Dean. She really made it out like Logan got the gift. I have to admit though, the Reverend's little speech was one of the funniest things I've heard in a while.

Okay, so I thought tonight's episode was *much* better than last week's! The Luke/Lorelai interaction was good ... there was definitely more of a "couple" feel to them. And how awesome was Luke tonight? I love that he gave his mother's pearls to Rory and that she introduced him as her future stepdad.

But Emily .... boy, was she nasty/rotten/evil!!! I wanted to slap her for being so rude to Luke! And that look on her face when she saw the ring!! And when she realized that Richard didn't think "her" life was good enough for Rory .... boy, that is one unhappy household!!

And I've never been a big Jess fan, but I'm excited at the thought of him coming back and giving Rory a dose of reality. Things are looking up!!

There were some great Rory lines this week...
"The ultimate gift sailed a long time ago" and is "probably in Tahiti by now"....
"Who did she think sent the invitation...the invitation fairy?"

And Paul Anka is scared of peas? How funny!!

I laughed out loud when Luke said the "Rory" tasted like a My Little Pony.

I thought the episode was much better this week. I also noticed there was more affection between Luke and Lorelei.

What did everyone think of the Madeline Albright scene tonight? It brought a tear to my eye. Makes me want to bust out the Season 1 DVD and watch the episode "Rory's Birthday".

My daughter said a few weeks ago that she wished that Jess was still on the show. She really like Rory and Jess together. Well, dang, I guess her wish came true. I really liked tonights show, can't wait till next week. And I hope she dumps Logan.

Liked the show tonight. Good to see Lor and Ror talking and getting on the road to reconciliation!

I thought for sure they were going to take off to Atlantic City though!! I was shocked when the show had ended and they hadn't!!

Nice to see more 'couple' behaviour between Luke and Lor.

Funny seeing just how much Lor and Ror are alike. Laying in bed thinking, describing the birthday plans etc....

I liked tonight ES too....Liked the Albright seen very sweet....it is a shame her own mother couldn't do that. Loved Luke tonight...he was looking particularily nice. and giving Rory the necklace
The reverend seen was a CRACK UP! she handled it very well...I would have told the old goat it was none of his business!


I had a dream about Luke last night! I was Lorelei and he kept saying how I changed and he really liked it! LOL

I am really beginning to dislike Em and Rich. I mean truly. The girl is 21 yrs old. You cannot treat her like a 15 yr old. What the hell are they thinking? Did they REALLY think she still had her "gift"? Apparently so...how out of touch with reality are they?? Come ON! I did love her comment to the reverend about him liking the "40 Year Old Virgin" movie.

And WHY is Em so damn nasty to Luke?

The only part of the ep I liked were the previews with Jess. JESS ROCKS!

FYI, I don't think it's a new ep next week...I think the next new ep is on the 8th. I can't confirm this, but some spoiler sites have it as the 8th.

Luke twirling Lorelai's hair was so sweet. And, him giving Rory the necklace...awww! Emily needs to be slapped but I happened to like Rich's speech to her. About damn time!

Mal is correct - no new ep next week. Loved the Jess previews though and him telling her off about what the heck she has been doing - about time and maybe Jess is just what Rory needs to get the sense knocked back into her. Can't wait to see him - he's so cute

I loved the Parid Doyal (sp) thing, they are too funny together. I think that seeing Paris make editor shook up Rory a little bit. And YEAH Jess is coming back. I hope he gives Rory a big dose of reality! I miss Rory and Lorelai together!

Okay, for the most part I do not follow Gilmore Girls but have watched enough episodes every great once in a while to know that it's a great show; I just don't have time to add it to my current repetoire of shows I'm hooked on.

I happened to see last night's episode and I couldn't believe Rory and Lorelai weren't on speaking terms! Is there anyone who can briefly fill me in on the main details of what's currently going on? You don't have to get too detailed, as I'm sure it might take too long to describe here; I just want a general overview.

Another thing I'm not sure about is the situation of Rory with her boyfriend. The previews show someone from her past (from looking at previous posts, I assume his name is Luke?) coming back, and he made some comment about that her boyfriend is a jerk... Can you tell me if this is true? IS her current boyfriend a jerk, and also, what is Rory's relationship to Luke?

Sorry for being completely clueless, but I think I might want to start watching this regularly from now on, even if it means giving up a different show... I HAVE to see if Rory and her mom get back together!

omg...where to start??? BRIEF overview:

Rory met Logan last season, and he (IMHO) is not a good influence on her. But besides that, his family is very old money and they came out and told her she wasn't good enough for Logan. So Logan's dad offered her an internship at one of his papers to "make it up to her" (I personally think his motive was entirely different, but again, that's MHO) and when the internship was over, he told her she didn't have what it took to be a reporter. This crushed her and she dropped out of Yale (oh, BTW, she stole a yacht first, for which she is doing community service now). Lorelai DID NOT agree with her dropping out and told her she couldn't, but the grandparents swooped in and said she could, and she's now living in their pool house, not going to Yale and basically not doing anything.

So she and Lorelai are not talking, Rory and Logan aren't doing much of anything except, um, bumping...and Rory is doing community service and planning tea parties. Her boyfriend IS a jerk (again, only my opinion), and I CANNOT WAIT for Jess (it's Jess who is the past boyfriend to Rory...Luke is Lorelai's fiance) to come back and set her straight.

Does this sum it up? I got more...
