This is a total rant: I'm ready to take a GH break if things keep going in the direction they're going.
Killing Alan and making him a ghost. Killing Emily and then keeping her 'alive'. Throwing Night Shift characters at us and then NOT killing them at the ball. Not bringing Laura back to stay last year (she's mad about that, heard it on The View). Keeping Liz and Jason apart for the same reason, over and over again. Making Robin a desperate sperm seeker. Lucky being decent one minute and a jerk the next. Sam.......I want to wring her neck, her manipulation of Lucky is sooo transparent. Kate and Sonny, boring! I liked her at first but now they are a snooze fest. Lulu, aka Carly Jr, need I say more. Knowing that Georgie will die. Spinelli's hair. Sarah Brown coming back.

These are all things that are pushing me away from my beloved soap.

No one can be Brenda except for Vanessa Marcil. It will be so weird to see Sarah Brown play someone other than Carly. But she was an evil Carly and Carly is more mature now.

OMG, I remember that! That was the most ridiculous thing they have ever done. I think their thinking was, they couldn't bring back Luke without Laura.

At the time, TG refused to play Luke if Genie wouldn't come back to play Laura. When GF decided to come back,he agreed to play Luke again.

I can understand a show bringing back an actor who played a smaller character - but to bring SB back after playing such a major character who is still such a major character is really going to be weird - regardless of how much the role of Carly has grown adn matured.

oh well...should be interesting. I'm sure that this character will get involved with Jason, Sonny, Jax, Jerry, and every other person that Carly has gotten involved with and that will be really, really strange.

Keeping Liz and Jason apart for the same reason, over and over again.

I sat and watched last night and wanted to throw the nearest thing at the TV, but the cat that was sat on my lap was not having any of it, though I think he understood my anguish.

I thought maybe they could bring on Sarah Brown as Caroline, didn't she pretend to be her dead friend when she first appeared? Seeing as GH seems to be littered with dead people at present, what's one more?

I have watched GH for years. The show has really lost it's appeal for me within the last year. I loved the days of Sonny and Brenda! Sonny was so good back then. This character he is with is really wrong for him. Sonny is not who he used to be. The show is not what it used to be. I bet they have lost alot of viewers?

They have. Ratings were HORRIBLE for the month of October. They were the lowest they have ever been. Nov. sweeps was also terrible compared to Feb. They lost a TON of money due to the ratings.

Currently there lots of meetings going on and heads are going to roll. Pretty much everyones head is on the chopping block including Guza (the headwriter).

How likely is it that Guza will be gone?

I have an objective in place: I do not want to see his HIV-Sperm Switch-Who's the Father storyline he is teasing to the magazines and want his butt gone before that gets taped.

They have contract issues they must adhere to with Guza, but its pretty much in the can that people above Frons want him to vacate the premises.

Backstage changes insider . . .who are they looking to replace Guza with?

They have 4 people they are looking at, including LML.

I think ABC messed up last year when they let that guy who was going to consult slip through their fingers because they thought Guza could handle GH. I think Guza proved this year that his vision of GH is what is killing the show.

He wanted to more creative control whan what they were willing to give. Guza and JFP balked. Frons didn't back him up - so he left. He has said he will not return with the current regime in place, though he has been asked to return by higher ups.

To replace Frons???

They would have liked that - but that wasn't what he was after. He just wanted Frons to step aside and let the writers write. Guza and JFP balked at having to share creatuive control, Frons would not back him up nr would he relinquish HIS creative control - which was said to be the bone of contention. Said person walked without looking back. I doubt if he would return.

Do they know that alot of people have no faith in the show telling a good story?

This will be my last post for now, but I will say that the one thing that Guza and company were so cavalier about, turned around to bite them in the ***. The systematic firing of the vets. There has been more email and phone calls over the dismantling of core families in the past 6 months than any other character issue. The second touchy subject was the rape of Jax. The third - NightShift. With Georgie's murder on the horizon, its the last straw for many above Frons and also amongst crew members.

We did not even get a good Thanksgiving pizza or screaming at Cook. Guza is making it suck. And it seems there is sooo much repeating. They have whole paragraphs that are said by the same people everyday. I got through yesterdays episode in under 30 minutes by fast forwarding through soo much.It is as bad as when Days would have the characters think to themselves alllll the time, to say the same thing.

And why if they were doing this big episode to remember Emily, did we only get to see her and Nik doing it?? I mean really the actress has been on long enough to have more stuff on her. And WHY has Alan not talked to her, I mean they are both dead. Maybe this will be a bad bad dream.

And yesterday having Jolen and Layla at Jakes, talking, hello we do not care for those people.

I want Mac to get more story lines. I want the quartermanes to really have a business to run again.

I want to see families building, not coming apart.

6. Lannie's date with Epiphany's son? Where was that going?
7. Logan/Coop snitch things...too stupid of a story to continue?

I'm fed up with all of the ABC storylines. I'm to the point where I ignore them when they're on, or just read one of the little mags from the checkout to catch up. I remember the old days (really old days) when I would rush home from high school to try to catch a little of Luke & Laura! Back before VCRs, had to rely on good old Mom to watch and fill me in.

I understand cast members leaving but throw in a line like..."It's too bad Professor Such and Such had to move to Boston but with a Full time position along with being closer to his editor, he had to go. I will miss working on that book..."

Just a throw away line would do...We don't even get that courtesy.

Yep, they just drop stories and think that people are so stupid that they won't realize that so and so is not there, or has aged from 4 to 14 in a week, or changed hair color, facial shape, accent or body type during mid hug, not to mention that the character has completely forgotten how to act!

Well, that was my rant for the 11 o'clock hour, tune in at 12 to see what I go off on!

You are spot-on with the ones you listed. The writing is beyond ridiculous these days.

I'll add a few--feel free to update me if I've missed some critical plot developments with any of these...

--Lucas. Why is he TMing Bobbie? Where the heck is he?
--Noah/Rocker dude and Anna. What kind of wacky contract does Finola Hughes have with GH, anyway? What a waste of a great actress.
--Helena Cassadine. Where is she? She needs to come back and kick some badas* Cassadine butt all over Windermere.
--And wasn't Logan dishonorably discharged from the military? Would he be able to be a cop with that history?

I couldn't believe Lucky either, acting all cocky and telling Jason what to do. At least Jason stood up to him a little bit in the end.
