I know it's only been one episode, but I just can't get into the Night Shift. I didn't even make it through the whole episode.

It's just an odd concept to me. We have GH, then a spin off show with the same characters? I don't think I'm going to watch it again.

I actually kind of liked the night shift. It's a bit faster paced, but I enjoyed it. It reminded me of ER. You do have to let go a bit and pretend you don't know what's happening during the day, but soaps aren't about reality much anyway.

When Sam admitted to Spinelli that she watched Jake being taken and did nothing, that had me yelling "Hah" at my tv.
I can't understand the Sam fans that thought she may have been "imagining" watching the kidnapping rather than having an actual memory.
JMHO, I think the writers are turning us against Sam (or trying to anyways) because they know she is looking to break into nighttime tv. The minute Kelly gets a pilot that takes off she is out of there. And if we don't like her and she isn't with Jason then we won't miss her.*

Just wanted to say "Welcome"...and I guess we could hope the behavior is a "cover"...but frankly I don't think so...they tend to bring these characters back for a ratings boost, and then have them be totally opposite of what long times fans know them to be.
Either way..it's tough to watch. Let's hope you're right.

I missed a few months of GH and now I am confused. Who is Connie Falkanary/ Kate Howard? I thought she was Faith- Sonny's enemy crime boss widow. I love the character though. Kate is so classy. I love her hair and clothes and the chemistry she and Sonny have. I hope she stays awhile.

Connie/Kate is Sonny's first love, they grew up together and were supposed to runaway together when they were 16/17. Connie decided not to go with Sonny and she went off to college and recreated herself as Kate Howard, who is now the editor of a well known fashion magazine.

*The long and short of it. Jerry's associates put Carly in danger. Carly discovers she's pregnant at that time. Jax is back by then. Both Carly and the baby are in trouble.
Jax and Jerry come to blows big time.

Also I'll say one more thing about upcoming storylines. I just found out basically along with most that Trevor Lansing was returning. I knew for sometime that they were looking for a mob rival to hit town. Guza and Frons had wanted that tension on canvas to take off some of the pressure that had built up around Jerry/Jason/Sonny. To put the focus elsewhere mobwise on the show. They decided that shortly after Sebastian signed on. However that was all. They put out casting for a new mob rival.

I don't know how long ago it was decided that it would be Trevor. But I do know that first and foremost the character was meant to be an enemy of Sonny and Jason's.

I'm looking into that because that really stunned me.

I've dropped this before. Lucky does not find out about Jake until this fall. Thats been the plan since Feb Sweeps. NOVEMBER/ I'm out.

Next week - Elizabeth tells Lucky she loves Jason but insists she wants to be with him and raise the boys together.
