So I'm wondering, and this is all made up in my mind wondering.....

I know that Edward is talking about ELQ and the dream of his and Lila's legacy and it's all lost because Dillon is gone. (These were good scenes with Monica. I didn't FF)
Jason's struggling with being a father and his feelings for Liz.

Is Ned going to be back more? I thought he would be a bigger player this summer.
Or
Is Jason going to put his family first (Jake and Liz) and save the day and the Q legacy?
How good would that be? Jason and Tracy going at it over ELQ and Ned and Jason working together.
Maybe Alan was cryogenically preserved (like Stavros) and he'll come back.

I've been thinking way too much about this.

Oh, and can somebody please tell Kelly Monaco that there is a volume between Low-Talking and Screeching. I just can't stand it. Please give the girl a prime-time show.

He was talking up Georgie/Spinelli. Lindze is there! He said they're really going to be good for each other, he's really excited, it will be a great pairing.

Someone said "What about Lulu?"

Bradford says "Screw Lulu! Georgie's hot! Why would Spinelli want Lulu?"

They (Lindze and Bradford) were talking about the scenes that aired yesterday. LL said she never knows what he's going to do, like walking around with the gun in his crotch. During those scenes, she said she could do was stare at his crotch. Bradford pumped his fist in the air and said "Yes!! My plan worked!"

Is anyone else waiting to see Carly's reaction when she finds out that Jake is Jason's son. It is going to be wicked. Then when she finds out Jason wants to be with Liz, OMG, it will be priceless!!!

Carly only THINKS she hates Sam...wait until she finds out it's Elizabeth who is the mother of Jason son...looking forward to seeing that.

I'm finding Carly a bit overbearing lately...she is in everyone's business..and the entire Jerry/Jax storyline is just sooo "out there"...it's hard to watch. I kind of skip over it. I assume that Jax will be "missing" until after Labor Day at least. It's going to be a L-O-N-G summer.

On the other hand I enjoy the entire Lucky/Liz and Jason "who's the daddy" story. Even if it's dumb that Liz re-married Lucky(all of a year later). I think most people in that situation would have just quietly gotten back together and would see how things worked out. Ahh..but it is soap land.

Just wanted to say, I really enjoyed Nightshift. I was a little shocked at first with how much more explicit some scenes were--- but I thought it was good. It was cool to see my favorite characters in a prime time drama.

ITA, that was a bit risque in my book. My 12 YO DD watches GH a lot and was sitting with me on the sofa when that part happened, I had a bit of an EWW moment, LOL. I mean, him turnng around to face the administrator with his pants down, while tossing a towel across Maxie's lap, yuck!

WOW, WOW, WOW I just saw night shift on TV. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. How did they get it RIGHT? I really enjoyed it, ER with my GH twist. No way now can I wait till next Saturday to watch the next showing, I will stay awake till 11 pm Thursday night to watch it.

IMO I didn't enjoy Night Shift that much. I think they should have either made it have nothing to do with the Daytime or completely follow the Daytime...

a couple of ways I would have rahter seen it:

1) Make it a pretty hypothetical show. You can have the same character but have it be in no way related to the Daytime show. This is what Night Shift seemed like it was trying to do but failed when they related the reason Robin and Patrick were there and why Spinelli had a gun to the Daytime show. They didn't have to relate them at all and that would have been better.

2) They could have related them almost completely. I know not everyone gets Soap Net so they would have to do it carefully so as no one misses anything. Night Shift would have different primary characters but have some of the Daytime characters still in the show (like Robin and Patrick). For example, with Spinelli shooting himself in the foot. They could have done this and then on Friday's episode, when he walks in with crutches, he could explain in his Spinelli-esque sort of way to Lulu how he hurt himself. The stories on Night Shift that did involve the main characters wouldn't be too important to keep up with the Daytime show.

I just found it hard to watch because Robin and Patrick do the forbidden surgery and in the Night Shift show you learn that being on Night Shift is punishment for that. So now they have related the two worlds and shown that they do take place in sucession yet Jason is not in prison??? Any other watchers feel this way? Maybe it is just something to difficult to take on by a cable company that everyone can't watch.

Did anyone else find it really strange when Cruz Rodreiguez walked into the cubicle where Spinelli and Jason were that he introduced himself to them? I"m like, what, this guy is like Mac's right hand at the PD, they see him all the time and he feels compelled to give them his first and last name?! Too funny. And so far the new student nurses don't impress me at all. DH is an ER doc and I listen to him all the time and some of the stuff that went on on that show was just ludicrous.

I have mixed opinions on Night Shift. I liked some of the story line but my main criticism is with the production quality.

It seemed like they were trying to do that very lighted AMC shooting. It didn't look like a normal primetime show or even a daytime show in terms of lighting and direction.

Did anyone else notice this?

The first thing my sister said when it started to play was that it almost had a soft-core porn quality to it. She wasn't even talking about the actual scenes (shower, or Maxie and Coop) but about the quality of production.
