The Official Free Dining Watch 2007 Thread

I too called Disney VIsa...had to hear it for myself!!!! I had a very friendly lady who gave me all the same details that everyone else has gotten with the added "I can give you the phone number and code you will need in case you don't get the email".....she gave me the normal 407-939-1286 and the CODE IS ZHQ STARTING MONDAY. Happy Booking.

I have been skimming through a lot of these posts, but haven't read all of them, so I apologize if this has been asked before. Does anyone know if you should call this number if you have a Grand Gathering and want to switch to free dining? :confused3 Just about everyone in our group has a Disney Visa and I'm wondering if I should call the number above or the Grand Gathering number.

Quick follow up from someone in same position. If I book a trip today w/free dining, pay deposit by NON-disney card, will they credit my trip with the code on the 12th when it opens up to general public? thanks in advance for any help!!

Planning a September trip for four. Dates flexible. I've been waiting for the free dining details to come out. Assuming (and that's a big assumption) that it becomes open to the public on Friday (as I don't have a Disney Visa), will I be able to book a trip with the free dining with just the standard $200 down, or does the whole package have to be paid for at that time?

Thanks very much!!! I've not been allowing myself to get excited until the reservations are made, but I can hardly breath right about now.....

$200 down. The balance will be due 45 days prior to check in.

Subscribing. Everyone has already asked my questions, so I'm just waiting with everyone else.....

I just read this on Mousesavers. I cut and pasted it. Yeah!!!! :dance3: :cool1: :rotfl2:

A special "free dining" vacation package at Walt Disney World (for check-ins 8/26/07-9/22/07) is scheduled to be released for Disney Rewards Visa cardholders on Monday, April 9. The same package is expected to become available to the general public on Thursday, April 12. If the new package is similar to the one offered for the past two years, it will require you to purchase at least 3 consecutive hotel nights at an official Walt Disney World resort, plus at least a one-day theme park ticket, and you will get a FREE dining package (one counter service meal, one table service meal and one snack, per person, per day) for the length of your stay. This has been a very popular promotion in past years, so I expect rooms to sell out fast. Check back here on Monday for full details.

I got an email today from my TA saying the Free Dining promotion is starting next thursday for reservations between August 26-September 22nd. To qualify you have to book a room/ticket package.

So it is here. So excited

When I called Disney Visa, they told me that they were starting a 5 night/6 day package at a "select value resort" including free dining and tickets for $455/adult. Bookings for that start on 4/9. She didn't have specific dates you needed to be there.

I'm hoping to modify my existing 4 night WL package to get free dining. Like everyone else, I will be on the phone first thing Monday morning! Although I'm still confused as to whether or not I can do that Monday since I didn't pay my deposit on my Visa. Nobody seems to know if I pay additional with my Visa if I can modify on Monday. Anyone have the answer??????

Boo Hoo :( It wont help me because we are leaving August 8th-18th.. BUT I am hoping since it isnt during my time that it will keep crowds down. It is bittersweet I suppose.

we were going then as well. so here's my ? for anyone who knows the answer.....if i change our ressies to 8/19 to 8/28 and the free dining is 8/26 to 9/22 do i qualify????? i do have a disney visa and did put my original deposit on that such visa.......any clue anyone.....????

thanks for the help!

Guess I'll have to BEG my boss for time off. Was planning on Aug. 20-27, but I can't stand being that close to free dining!!!!! :headache: I have to do something to get time off the following week so I can enjoy free dining! OR, does anyone out there think I should keep the earlier reservations and hope for extremely light crowds!:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 I'm sooo confused on what to do!

Just an FYI there is now an "Everything You Need To Know About Free Dining" thread HERE

Many of your questions should be answered there and it will save you from trying to find the answer here and/or repeating the same question again.

From what I understand, you aren't really "modifying" your exisiting reservation as much as you are actually "canceling" it and rebooking with the package. So I think WL and the room type you have now will have to be "available" under the code for you to get the promo. So I guess what I'm saying is...as long as you technically cancel and rebook and use your Disney Visa, I bet you can do it on Monday. They just make sure you have a Disney Visa before they book it for you.

I already have free dining(I booked with the bounceback program last Winter when we were there) but I wanted to tell everyone that I'm happy for all of you who will get to participate! I have been holding my breath with all of you, hoping your wishes came true!

In my cosmic game of "rock, paper, scissors," money beats crowds every time.

The only part that would qualify is 8/26 - 8/28 on a separate package reservation, but you would have to have at least a 3-night minimum stay (or 5 nights is what I've been hearing for this one). So, unless you can shift your dates later, or add days on to the end, you won't be able to get free dining.

has anyone else noticed that the Disney Goofy is not gone frm the exact same site???? I am wondering if they saw how much of a concern it was to place this early and was forced to remove it. i know the Disney Visa guest get the 1st shot, but the 12th is the day that others like myself can book right??? I am hoping so!

SHOULD I BOOK WITH DREAMS UNLIMITED OR AAA OR DISNEY DIRECTLY? THIS IS MY FIRST TIME WRITING AND I WELCOME ANY ADVISE OUT THERE. THERES 8 OF US GOING AND I'M INCHARGE OF THE BOOKINGS. SO I WANT TO DO IT RIGHT. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.:goodvibes

I would personally book with Disney Directly. I like to be able to deal directly with them regarding my vacations, but that is just my preference

Just got off the phone with Disney! I was making dining reservations and BBB reservations. I asked the CM if she'd been getting a lot of calls about free dining, and she acted like she had never heard of it!:rotfl2: I guess that is better than her being rude! :thumbsup2

Goofy is gone from the site!!!! They are getting too many inquiries--I'm sure.
I talked to Visa today and they confirmed the deal. I'm sure it is some sort of joint venture. Disney profits in some sort of way and I'm sure Chase gets a great deal of new card holders.
