So, all of you TA-type folks out there, in your experience, how long would it normally be between when something like this gets posted and when it is actually available for booking? Are we looking at...like... hours? Days? A week or two?
Just wondering how long before I should start obsessively calling Disney every 45 minutes. :)
 :cheer2: Doing the happy dance - trip planned for 9/20-9/29!! :cheer2:

That what I basically got too. It's going to be changing over soon. Just think everyone...Free Dining is just right around the corner.:cool1:

Getting more despressed as it looks highly unlikely that it will be available for our trip.......:sad1:

Me too  If there was any way under the sun I could switch our dates I'd do it to get the free dining. We're paying $1404 for DDP during our stay. That's more than some people's whole package

Not that far in advance. I would not be surprised to see something for Monday, April 02.

Hmm, nothing to indicate whether they're requiring just single-day, or length-of-stay park passes.

Crossing my fingers for single-day! We're AP holders so we won't be doing free dining if it requires length-of-stay.

Are you getting some sort of discount on your room?

I booked with AAA for 8/20 to 8/30. I'm getting a 20% discount on my room at POR so about $325 and I paid about $1,100 for the DDP (2 adults, 3 children) so I really paid "only" $775 for the DDP (compared to rack rate for free dining). Its still a lot of $$$$ but seems better than over $1,000.

the Dining Plan averages $40/adult/night and $13/child/night (after taxes and all that jazz)... but children age 10-17 count as an adult... so for your family of four $160/night...

children 10 and up count as adults, so it would be $39x4(people)x the number of nights you are staying. Hope this helps

Our total price for 6 people, 2 preferred-location rooms at POP for 9 nights (Aug 3 - 11), with 1-day base tickets, and DDP is $4812.33. That is with AAA discount. If you add the AAA membership fee, it's $4872.33. Not including we still have to upgrade our 1-day tickets to hoppers + water parks for 8 days when we arrive. And of course it doesn't include a few OOP meals, PnP tickets, travel costs to and from, and possibly CDS -if we win the lottery :rotfl:

Hate to rain on your parade, but it's only March 31st...:)

However, and I know this reaching for straws, but I just logged on to the Disney Visa (Chase) website, and went to look at current Disney promotions, and that site said "unavailable, check back later". Now, it has said that before, and come back with nothing, but maybe this time it will come back tomorrow with free dining offer????

On March 22nd, I received an email regarding a new website showing the benefits of having a Disney Visa card. Here is the link http://disneyrewards.disney.go.com/ It looks like when park discounts are available for Disney Visa card holders this will be the new place they will advertise it. Will have to wait and see though , if free DDP will be advertise here or on the old place when you log into your account on the chase.com website. This new webiste, anybody can look at.

Our family of 7 (4 A & 3 children ages 1, 5, & 8) are going August 11-August 20, staying at ASMovies-preferred room. We are paying for DDP-10 day park passes (no hopper). The total for our 2 rooms with AAA discount was $4420.06. We thought that was a real good rate.:grouphug:

Yeah, it is. I'm wondering why mine is so much higher?? You even have tickets included and I don't. When you say "we are paying for DDP, etc." do you mean that those things are or are not included in your package? I'm not understanding where the difference is, other than you have children and we are all "adults" as far as the DDP goes. Anybody see something that I don't?

I'm wondering if I should shop around for AAA travel agents.

We added ddp on after we made our original ressies. The addition increased each rooms price by $880. The difference more than likely would be that we have 2 childrens rates for the dining plan.
