I am sure that we went Aug 13 and that was value season with free dining

They gave value season pricing to all who booked free dining but the value season didn't actually start until the next week. It may have only been moderate or value & moderate resorts not deluxe? I remember figuring out what free dining was really costing me in lost room discounts and part of what made the free dining package a really great bargin for me was that I got the room for value season pricing when I would have had to pay regular season pricing if I didn't book the free dining package.

So, I'm confused on this free dining thing...what happens if this is offered and you already have a plan with the dining option on it? We are going in September and we have the package that includes the dining. We have not payed the vacation off yet so would I still be able to get free dining?

I had the same problem..... I don't know if you booked yourself or if you went thru a travel agent. I made my reservation thru Dreams Unlimited and was worried about the same thing so I emailed my agent and she replied that if the free dining comes out that she will apply it to my reservatio... I have been breathing a whole lot easier since I talked with her about it.

Here is a little ray of sunshine for those of us hoping for free dining....I was listening to my favorite podcast (WDW Radio) and the host, Lou Mongello, author of Disney World Trivia I and II, was speaking from his rumor mill and did confirm free dining, as well as the dates we have all heard 8/26-9/22. He said he would be speaking more about it next week. For me, this is all I need to hear. I don't think Lou would have said it if it wasn't a pretty sure thing. We all know Disney can change their mind at any time and anything can happen....but, this confirmed it in my humble opinion.

time for me to start crunching numbers now. We used the 40% off code and now I need to figure out which deal is better. I'm thinking I still might save an extra $100.00 if free dining comes out.

Ariving 29 September.

but those dates don't work for us either. August 21-28th. We would lose any savings if we did a split ressie for the last 2 days because of the whole ticket issue. ETA: Actually this wouldn't even work if it's going to be a 3 night minimum again!

We are paying for the dining though as we think it is worth it. We had it free for the past 2 years and it was great. I hope they come out with something that all the rest of us with "in between" dates can use.
