The Official Free Dining Watch 2007 Thread

WOW in a matter of a minute everyone was like a flock of birds on its prey searching for answers:scared1: ..... Oh gosh we are all so addicited...:lmao:

If they do offer free dining and you are going to be in disney when they are offering it how exactly can you get this plan when it is offered? I'm sure this has been asked before but I've been surfing through this thread and wasn't able to find a definate answer.

Well I just had to do it:rolleyes1 it's the only time I get to have fun. I know it's not nice to joke about things like this.:rotfl:

I guess the laugh is on you as I don't qualify for them dates so was really pleased that I thought you had got it :rotfl:

When they release the Free Dining package (hopefully soon) for the month of September (give or take a few days) just call and book the "Magic Your Way + Free Dining" package! You pick the resort, the number of days on your park tickets, and dining (of course)! :)

If you already have reservations, then when it's released just call and see if they can add the free dining to your existing package!

The easiest way (in my opinion) is to call Disney central reservations and tell them you would like to book a Magic Your Way package with code "XXX". If/when the code is released, it will be something like YZE, so you just call with your dates and ask to book with that code.

Just keep an eye here for when a code is released and call ASAP.

Has anyone seen the following? It's the first post by the administrator of another Disney site, and "supposedly" this has come off of the WDW site. You may have to register to view (I did). By the way, I have no clue if this is legite or not since there isn't a link to it, therefore I would only take it with a grain of salt. You may want to contact this person to see if they'll tell you how to get to it:

I'm also a member there....The administrator of the site also runs Mouseketrips, a travel agency. So I'm just guessing that is how he got his information.

That's just a guess.....

OK, like others have said b4 me I am also quite addicted to this site. That said I tend to panic that I won't be one of the first callers and I will miss out. I read these board and think "oh no, all these people swarming, no chance at all for me!" (selfish I know, I want us all to get it) and then I got thinking.......(real logic here).... Most (and I mean the huge majority) people who go to Disney World are not even as closely addicted to DW as we are. Most people who go to Disney have no idea what a forum of this nature is! we are actually a very small (VERY) group of DW guests! They could give all of us free dining and still not even scratch the surface of visitors there! Most people won't even realize that free dining exists until they start seeing it in commercials etc. And even then it will be like "well maybe we should look into it". I bet those of us that check these boards constantly daily and wait with claws out and ready to pounce only reprsent like 1% of the total DW visitors at that time of year! Really! What do you all think?

So that said..my point here is maybe we should all relax a little and enjoy life. This kinda anxiety can't be good. I am sure we will all be in the top few people to find out about this.

ok, so really...see you all after my potty break when I come back to check the boards again...lol

Dreams will attempt to apply any discount to a reservation right up to the deadline. They can do this even after you have made your deposit.

Smilechaser....are you crazy?!?! You just missed it...while you were gone DW offered a limited package deal to everyone on this site! We all got 40% off plus FREE DINING and they tacked on FREE AIRFARE for the first 300.75 callers. :rotfl2: That'll teach ya not to keep a pickle jar next to your PC:laughing: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I'm glad there's more of us out there that don't have a life outside these boards!:happytv:

It's here...It's here...I got it! Free dining.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I just booked 10 minutes ago with a CM who was great. She said she was just told an hour ago that packages for late August through September are a go. I just saved $400.00 off my trip not for having free dining. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: '

[MOD EDIT - APRIL FOOL'S JOKE... ]

Okay--I would think the Mom of that beautiful angel in the picture would not be so cruel to all of us impatiently waiting for terrific news. I look forward to my annual WDW trip and I had my Visa in hand and started dialing. I only read "it's here...it's here" and i was soooo excited and then I was put on hold by reservations and I thought this is it!!! You are a real stinker.

I sure am glad I got the 40% because we are leaving for WDW on the 25th. We will miss the deal by 3 days if the rumors are true. I had been toying with changing to a moderate if free dining was offered since you can't make changes to the 40% deal to save a little money. Guess I will just have to eat out less so I can suffer through a week at the Poly.

I think that free dining is looking really good now. I just can't wait for them to put this deal out already.
But, I do have a little problem, if they put the offer out before April 12th. We are going down to Tampa for Easter and I would like to know if free dining is offered while I am down there, would I be able to do a courtesy hold on a reservation until I get back?
I wanted to be one of the first to get in on this deal because it is a make it or break for my husband this year. Being that as he says he is all Disneyed out.:sad2:

Just asked this on another thread, but this one seems like a better place to ask....

Couple of questions about free dining....just in case!!!

1. Where's the best place to find out about free dining for Disney visa holders? I have the Disney visa and did free dining last year - but didn't book until June - so I wasn't in on it during the early days. Where did those of you with disney visa's find out about it last year??? (as I'm typing I'm thinking that the DIS should have the answer as soon as it's released)

2. I am already booked during the speculative free dining time, with the 40% deal. I will not change that as the 40% discount is better than free dining for us. BUT - if they do have free dining again, I want to book a trip for my sister-in-law while we are there. Question- Can I book her trip, making the ressie under her name, with my Disney visa?? I'd pay it off for her and she'd pay us back. But is that allowed? Ressie under one name, credit card under a different? Would I have to be there with her as she checks in?? (trip would be paid off before check-in)

Thanks in advance for the info. And, oh, by the way......COME ON FREE DINING!!! We want to take our little sister with us!!

Is there Free Dining rehab? Hi my name is Danielle and i'm a free dining-message checking-aholic.

I would join you, Danielle, but I'm afraid that I'd pull a Britney Spears and check out of rehab within hours just to check the DIS for free dining. Soemthing is seriously wrong with all of us.

Well.. FIRST you have to all shave your heads.

Report back here with pictures after that for your second go around at Free-Dining-Rehab program.
