*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

Anybody know what type of clothes to pack? Haven't been to Disney in Feb since I was 18 months old! I have no idea what to expect as far as weather goes. Would a pool day be out of the question? Staying Feb 11-16.

I got our Mickey Mail on Wed and we leave on the 28.

I'm not sure what I'm packing yet. I'm going to wait until it get closer so I can see the forcast. I know the pools are heated.

Just a few more weeks before we leave for WDW on February 15th. Even though the Michigan winter has not been too bad, I will still enjoy the warmer weather!

:yay:

John, we leave on the 15th as well!!:goodvibes
What flight are you guys on? Our flight leaves a bit after noon out of DTW and arrives into Orlando a bit before 3pm.:woohoo:

We've had a great winter so far, but like you, can't wait to be in the warmer weather and the Disney magic!! :yay:

I'm packing a little bit of everything, the weather should be 65 to 85 during the day, with 40 to 60 degree nights... I'm taking, shorts, capris, jeans, tshirts, hoodies, and laundry soap... :thumbsup2 but yes, take your swim suit too, cause you never know, plus there small and don't take up much room in the suit case ;)

Liza,

We leave in the morning some time after 8 am or so from DTW. Have to get the boys up early, but I don't think it'll be too hard to get them out of bed! :)

So we won't be there at the airport at the same time, but we will be in WDW at the same time! :yay:

My dh and I will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary on Feb. 21 so we will be at the AS Music from Feb. 20 -22. A short trip but it will be just the two of us. We will go to one park on the 21th and the other 2 days are travel. Can't wait to go.

I promise not to use up all the pixie dust. I must save some for my fellow Michiganders! pixiedust: (I'm headed down on the 9th!)

Best winter ever (as long as you're not into winter sports lol)! We leave 2/21 out of DTW. :thumbsup2

Eek! Getting closer...

12 more full days, and on the 13th day we will be boarding our overnight flight!

So far I'm planning on packing a little bit of everything because I've heard the weather varies so much between morning/evening temps and midday temps. I will only be bringing one pair of bermuda shorts as even if it is 80 degrees, it won't be too hot to wear pants. I'll also bring 2 pairs of jeans and 1 or 2 pair of utility pants (like super casual khakis) in grey and light brown. As far as tops go, I'll pack a mixture of long & short-sleeved tees, one casual sweater (not quite a sweatshirt but not dressy at all), one nicer v-neck cardigan (for our Narcoossee's night, but will be wearing with jeans), and my rain jacket I think. Also bringing 2 pairs of shoes plus Olivia Crocs for the water rides.

...and I'm packing a few Purex all-in-one laundry sheets in case I need more warm clothes than I originally thought!

I'm packing a little of everything too! We are going 2/16-2/28. It could be in the 80s for part of the trip and 60s for the rest.....you never know. I'm thinking layers, layers, and more layers. I bought my daughter some leggings to wear under skorts in case it's cooler in the mornings and then she can take them off in the sfternoon. Also, I am bringing hats and gloves and fleeces. We were there in Dec 2010 and it was FREEZING for the first part of the trip and warmed up the last few days.

pixiedust: And another one bites the dust folks!

We're all ONE day closer to our February Vacations! party:

Yes...one day closer, I just can't stand it anymore - I want to be there now! Every time a Disney commercial comes on, I get one of those full-body electrical chills from head to toe, you'd think I was pregnant the way I get so emotional listening to the "Good Life" song played on that commercial! 4 Weeks to go!!!

Leggings unders skorts, I hadn't thought about that. Thanks for the tip.

We leave on the 12th for our first ever trip! None of us (husband, self and 2 kids) have been so it's going to be magic for us all! SOOOO excited!

What are you guys going to do for Valentine's Day down there?

We booked dinner at Narcoosees during the fireworks that night, but not sure what else to do yet. This is my first "romantic" ish trip, so I don't have any ideas!!

I tried SO hard to find something special to do. I looked into Memories By Betsy (Beautiful but SO expensive), Disney Florists, the Cake Hotline and no one had what I was looking for. So we made a late lunch ADR for Rainforest Cafe (not romantic but I figured the kids would love it!) and then Wishes that night. And then I would get some special treats down there. I called a few places and most said that they would have Vanlentin'e's Day-esque treats that day. So I'm just going to wing it. If all else fails I can just say that Disney was their V-day treat, right? LOL

We're not doing anything particularly special for Valentine's Day. We're just planning on going to Animal Kingdom during the day, and then doing some shopping/browsing at Downtown Disney before our dinner reservation at Raglan Road.

Have fun on your trip!! :) This is going to be our first too! Well, our first together, and my first ever. My BF has been 3 times before when he was younger.
