*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

I plan on getting our own bags also. I have a control problem. :) unfortunately I do not trust most people to do their jobs correctly so I feel I need to do it myself in order to have things run smoothly! Literally every time I have given up control, something goes wrong. So now I just plan to do everything on my own and it makes me a happier person. My husband thinks I am nuts. I am. LOL!

:lmao: This is exactly like me!!

At this point, I'm actually planning on entrusting Magical Express to get our bags for us. I'm not sure how long this plan will last, however, as I don't think I can realistically give up control of anything without spending those 3 hours they say it takes to get your bags to your room worrying. I know I would literally probably either sit in the hotel waiting for my bags, or be stressing the entire day about it until we got back to the hotel. lol

That settles it. We will be getting our own bags. I agree with all the above posters. I just think it would make me nuts worrying about the luggage and what could go wrong vs. us just getting them ourselves. Now I just have to worry about all our luggage actually getting on the correct flight out there. :scared1::)

Hi everyone! I've never taken the time to search much on this site, I'm just now finding this thread, lol. Anyway..we're going from the 23rd-29th. Can't wait! I'm a bit nervous because we have the baby now so that's more of a handful then our last trip, hopefully everything will work out. This is a surprise trip...I'm sure when we pull into the airport our son will figure it out though, lol. Good to be here! :hippie:

Currently I am working full-time and going to graduate school. With the kids and volunteer work, life has been pretty stressful. So hubby figured it would be nice for me to have a few extra days at Disney since we can get the time off of work. So we are now staying until March 2 at AKL Villas, Jambo House. The best part is March 1 is my birthday! In over 20 trips to WDW, I've never spent my birthday there before. So happy!!! Any birthday suggestions for grown-ups? :cool1::

Hi gang,
Count us in!! We booked tonight, a little late but late is better then never! Staying @ Cbr, feb 15-23.:cool1:

Add me to the list! I received a wonderful surprise trip of WDW for Leap Day! We are headed down on 2/27 spending one night at ASMu then moving over the CR through 3/1!

Super excited!

Just finished my last sewing project for this trip. Years ago I made a promise to my DD that I would make her a princess dress for every day of our trip to Disney. When we went in 2010 I just ran out of time, only completed a Minnie Mouse polka dot dress and ended up purchasing princess costumes (which was fine and she had a blast). But this time I DID IT!

1) Pink and White - Cinderella
2) Jolly Holiday - Marry Poppins
3) Minnie Mouse with apron
4) Peter Pan's Wendy
5) Rapunzel
6) Fairy Godmother (cover-up/cape for cold days)
7) Pocahontas

+one purchased dress - little mermaid, for after the BBB appointment.princess:

I would post photos if I could figure out how.....pointers anyone?

We are getting so close to the travel date I just can't wait!!!!

You have to post pictures of your DD modeling the dresses!!! I'm a sewing wannabe...(read, not good), but I still try. Lol

Where do you get them? Such a cool idea!

Lime green mickey head paint chips are available at Home Depot. They have a Disney line of paint and their paint chips are in the shape of micey heads. People just "borrow" them, peel the mickey head off, write their screen name on it and laminate it. Then they wear it as a pin or dangle it from their bag or stroller. It's how you can easily identify other DISers. I'm still not so sure if I'm going to do this, as I'm kinda a private person, as is DH. I think he might get weirded out if a fellow DISer walked up to me and started talking to me, you know? I would think it was kinda cool. Especially if it was someone from this thread.

Less than 20 days away for us, still haven't told DD5, surprising her the night before after we see Disney on Ice in Chicago.

Also, looking for others to join in on my photopass share over on Facebook -
http://www.facebook.com/groups/78167743594/ Come find my post over there.

YAY - Disney on Ice! DD was mildly complaining that we're not going to it this year (it was last weekend in Indy). She has no idea that we're taking her to Disney next week

If you don't mind me asking, where are you from in NWI? I grew up in Crown Point. (went to Andrean, so I don't know very many people from CP.) DH is an LC grad.

Would love to share in your photopass, but DH doesn't understand why I would ever want to purchase something like that :headache:- so it's a no-go Whenever I bring it up, his response is "but that's why WE have cameras." He just doesn't get it. that and my obsession with trip planning. If he only knew how many lunch hours have been spent reading on the DIS!

:banana:I'm doing the SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!!! 9 days baby!

I live in Porter and grew up in SW Michigan. Photopass is great for group shots, but I guess you can always have someone use your camera also. I am never in any pics because I am always the one with the camera, so the photopass is nice in that regards. Enjoy your trip!

Skipping DHS because we only have 3 days this time.

So what do you all think? How are the crowds going to be pre Pres day?

We are going Feb 11-17, our original plan was to go the 13-16, but I realized I could upgrade my military tickets to a florida select weekday pass for just $50 more per adult and $35 per kid...so that gives us 7 days for only $180! what a great deal...I'm soooo excited, anyway, what do you guys think of the crowds...this is our second trip and our first we went the week school was starting in Fl...so crowds were low.....do you guys think this will be crowded? I'm hoping by adding 3 extra days we can take it easy and do everything...and do you think we should add on the parks and more to our military tickets since we are going to upgrade anyway? is anybody else going to do water parks or is it too cold? also do you think my kids would enjoy disney quest at all, they are 5, 4, and 1. Thanks for the info! I'm so excited to go in just a few days!!! :):cool1:
