*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

We are taking a mini-trip Feb 12-15! Staying at POP with free dining. We have an ADR at LeCellier for 2/14 for Valentine's Dinner! :cloud9:

Hi Everyone- I have recently joined the DIS boards. Have not been a regular on a board for a while and am happy to join you all! Can't wait for our next trip in Feb. My DD will be turning 10 while there and my DS will be almost 3 (he is tall...wears 4T now and I'm hoping he grows an inch or so before Feb so he can enjoy more rides but if not, this will be his 4th Disney experience in his life so far and it's always been great.)

We are fairly modern urban people with creative jobs who just LOVE visiting Disney. We can just have fun and go nuts on the rides. We also love good food and with the Deluxe Dining it allows us to eat at some of the nicer places without having to think about it.

As you might be able to tell from my handle, we love the lodge. The Wilderness Lodge. Have stayed elsewhere and at this point we don't mess around! LOL. It's there or nothing.

I'm hoping to get some tips/ideas from the kind people here and can also offer our own wisdom of experience. We have extensive experience with food allergies and have always felt at ease with the way Disney handles this concern.

Talk to you soon,
Emily

Hi everyone! DH just said YES today to going back in Feb!

Now we just have to nail down the dates. And the resort. And how we're paying for it! lol!

We just came back last week from a loooong 8 day trip with my son and my DB (13). They just about drove us crazy! So now, just the two of us are taking a much needed ADULTS ONLY vacation. We are looking at using the 35% off offer and staying at one of the deluxes. Can't figure out which one we want to do though. Anyone have any suggestions?

Does waltdisneyworld.com have an online chat feature?

Or does anyone know how much it is to upgrade from the quick service dining plan to the regular plan for 2 adults? And can you use table service credits for quick service credits?

Thanks!

It's $16.55 per person, per night to upgrade. I don't think you can use the TS credits for CS, plus I don't think it is a good value if you do.

Been on an all weekend sewing kick getting ready for our feb. trip. When we went in 2010 I made a minnie mouse dress for dd and purchased princess dress for the other days of our trip. This time around I vowed to sew a dress for every day. So we have a 6 day ticket (10 day stay) so far i have to following:

Jolly holiday Mary Poppins
Pink Cinderella (the mice made dress)
Wendy from Peter Pan
Cinderellas Fairy Godmother (made as a cape I case of a cooler day she can wear it ov a costume and still be warm and in costume)

Still planning: Repunzel Tangled dress, Bo Peep from Toy Story, Minnie Mouse

Add us to the list, please? I'm on the January list, but decided to check in here...and realized that we're at WDW for more days in Feb than Jan.
Checking into POP for one night 1/26...and then on to POR for 1/27-2/6! And, looking at my ticker, just realized that
2morrow, the 2 of us will be down to 2 months, 2 weeks, 2 days. Lots of "2s" in there!

You just sold your old house! What are you going to do next?

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!! ...in a few months ;)

If the house didn't sell in time, we weren't going to be able to go, but it did, so we are! The countdown has begun! :yay:

Not sure this is my place to do so but in case you wanted to update your list, jennbenn 01/29-02/02 will be staying at POP.
She's listed on this thread for a fridge swap.

http://www.dis.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2000322

Also not sure if I'm allowed to ask on this thread, but if anyone is interested there are still a few dates available for fridge swaps for the month of february for those staying at POP.
The reason I bring this up is the less amount of time the fridge stays in luggage services the better chance of it not getting lost. We would rather do a person to person swap than have to try to find it at luggage services.
If I'm out of place by posting this here, let me know and I will remove it.

Thanks.

84 days away and counting!

I thought I'd be over the excitement by now, but I just am NOT! I CAN NOT WAIT - to surprise DD, to be in WDW, to be on VACATION!!!

I'm already thinking about packing challenges, how I'm going to pack DD's suitcase without her knowing, what clothes I'm going to bring for her, for me... If DH is out on a business trip before our vacation, it'll actually make things easier, I think, but we won't have that trip confirmed for a while yet.

So much in the air, but so much to be excited about... Dh is sick of hearing it and thinks I'm overplanning it. I think I'm just SO looking forward to it. I need a break from work, and am really looking forward to not having to worry about a thing while we're there, esp after December - busy at work, busy with DD's birthday, our anniversary, the chaotic holidays!

Disney, take me away! (said in the Calgon manner!)

Sorry, just had to get all that out. Thanks for listening to me vent on a frustrating day at the office!
