I am here now and Splash Mountain was up and running today! My kids and dh rode it twice! Wait times for most stuff was 20 minutes or less except
For Astro Orbiter which was longer.

Almost all packed. Filed my taxes yesterday and cleaned the house, hate coming home to a messy house after a vacation.
Can't wait for Wednesday to be here!!

LOL, I thought I was the only one who cleaned up before I went on vacation so it will be clean when we get home. Two more sleeps for us also.

LOL, I thought I was the only one who cleaned up before I went on vacation so it will be clean when we get home. Two more sleeps for us also.

I cleaned before vacation too! I like to house-sitter to think we don't live in chaos all the time (although to me, it's organized chaos! - ha!). I also love coming back to a clean house, empty laundry basket and reasonably fresh sheets.

The Rapunzel dress traveled well, by the way. When we got there, I took it out of the gallon ziplock that it was squeezed into (had to keep the glitter for getting on everything else in the suitcase!) and hung it up in our hotel room's closet. She wore it for 2 or 3 days at the parks and it was terrific, if a little hot since the weather's been so nice down there. It was a good length for DD... not too long, but not too short. She even got called the "princess of Indiana" at the laugh floor, which was TOTALLY AWESOME for her. Someone even recognized her later and said loudly "look, mom! It's the princess of Indiana!" DD loved it!

HOpe you have a great trip. For the one that said splash was down... the week before it was only down for a day, then was back up... maybe they're able to actually FIX the problem in the time it was down?

We leave on Friday!!!

We decided to leave on Friday morning instead of Friday evening!! The kids aren't really doing anything at school on Friday, except celebrating Mardi Gras!!! We are going to drive until we get tired (probably around Tallahassee)...we are driving from Louisiana!!

I am totally panicking!! I am at work and I have been freezing all day... I am usually very hot natured! I have also drank a lot of water today, and I don't usually drink much water....I HOPE I am not getting sick!

Start taking zinc!!! Continue drinking your fluids too and taking vitamin c! That's what Dr. pumpkinfish* swears by. *note, Dr. pumpkinfish is not an actual doctor.

Let's see, my jack-n-coke helped me with packing last night because I was getting a little frazzled. But now I am all done! All that is left is my makeup bag and CHI that I'll pack Thursday morning. I went ahead and did early bird checkin with SW...I don't want to have to worry about that tomorrow for flying out or next week when we fly back. I'm also almost done with homework which is a HUGE plus to me enjoying this vacation.

Ahhhh...2 more sleeps!

Thanks for letting me know about the dress. I'm very excited. We leave tomorrow. I'm a bit worried about the weather since right now Weather Channel is showing some rain for everyday that we are there except for the first day. I know that Orlando is famous for the ever changing weather so hoping it will be good weather.

We're flying SW on Feb 26th. I've never done early bird check-in before. How did it work? From what I can tell, SW actually does the boarding assignment ahead of the normal 24 hr window. Did you receive an email when that was done? Or did you just log into their website to get your boarding pass? Just don't want to screw it up for this trip. Thanks!

Its really easy! When we do earlybird checkin, we are usually checking bags too. I keep my confirmation number on me at the airport and just print my tickets there. I've never had an issue when doing it this way. You don't get an email with your position but they do send an early bird confirmation one. Have fun!

Well this is last day before our trip. This time tomorrow we will be getting ready to leave and catch our plane . I'm glad this week went fast...being busy at work helps with that. Now I will need to not stare at the clock all day to countdown the hours minutes seconds...

ETA: I was able to print our early-check in boarding passes just now...you can do it as long as you are within the 24 window before your flight leaves (not 24+ but 24-). Hope this helps!

YEAH!!! One more sleep. I also can't believe that I'm packed. A few last minute things will need to go in tomorrow but the major packing is done. I just need to vaccumm and tomorrow morning I will do the sheets so we can come home to a clean house.
