Those dates sound fine. They overlap with mine! :) It will definitely get progressively more crowded as your trip goes on due to President's week starting, but as long as you're prepared there's nothing to worry about!

Unfortunately toontown is completely gone to make way for the Fantasyland expansion.

working on the ADR's. Trying to decide if Le Cellier is worth two dining credits for dinner.

DH loves the place (the two times we have been there), and I know they have a new menu for the signature dining...

Anyone had it yet? I guess I could go to the resturant forum and look it up.

:rotfl:

sorry, starting to get really amped for the trip. I am already driving friends/family insane.

1) Has anyone used a travel agent instead of booking directly through Disney? If so, did you notice a big savings? Was it worth it?

I use a TA. The price is not any different than booking directly through Disney.

The bonus of the TA is that if any specials come out, she is quick to amend our reservation if appliciable.

Our first trip, I was just going to book thorugh Disney, but if I had done that I would not have received the $500 gift card promotion.

I don't know about the new menu, but when we went in 2009 the meal was OK. I wouldn't use 2 credits on it now. While I liked the ambiance, staff and service there, I didn't like my meal too much. I got the filet which was a bit salty and I didn't care for the risotto. It wansn't bad, just not my favorite. The maple creme brulee was wonderful:cloud9:.

I would definitely check out the dining board to see if others had the same feelings as I did. I hope it has improved. The only other time we went was in 2003 and I had salmon that was fantastic.

I'm planning on trying Le Cellier for the first time this upcoming trip, but we will be paying OOP since we do a split stay between on and offsite and don't have a dining plan. I've read plenty of good reviews on the DIS which lead me to believe that it will be worth it, but then again everyone has different tastes.
Definitely go over to the restaurants board and check it out! :thumbsup2

I am going!!!!! First time in 11 years and now with kids in tow. 4th feb for 2 weeks.

Welcome! Congrats on going for the first time in 11 years, a lot has changed!
I put your dates down as the 4th-18th because that's two weeks after, but if that's not right let me know. Keep us posted with resorts! :thumbsup2

Anyone else working on their pre-plans plans? (oh, did that make sense?)

I am hoping we can extend the trip a couple of days and maybe go over to IOA and see Harry Potter.

I think Le Cellier is out this trip. While it was good, I dont think its 2TS good, unless we sneak in extra days and hit IOA, then it might be worth while.

Hope everyone is doing good and is safe! Thankfully those twisters just missed my family in Alabama, but my heart goes out to everyone else!

Can I please be added to the list?

Trip is planned Feb 18-25, 2012 and staying at WH

This is our first trip and I'm so excited! Just picked the townhome we want to stay in and I'm trying to whittle the owner down just a few more bucks (never hurts to ask, right?) :rotfl:

Let's get the planning started!

We always do at least one day at US/IOA! A large chunk of our 10 person party are coasterheads, so we go there for our thrill fix. :)

Last trip we did 2 days there, but we had to sacrifice our rest day for that 2nd one so we'll probably stick to 1 day this time.

Can I please be added to the list?

Hi, Everyone! Just joined the board and am so excited!

We just booked our trip for Feb. 25th -Mar 3. We're staying at POP.

Hubby and I went to WDW for our honeymoon in 2006 and are so excited to bring our little ones.

Our oldest daughter will be turning 5 during our trip and we are so excited to celebrate her birthday in such a magical place. We are hoping to keep the trip a surprise. Looking forward to hearing everyone's plans!

Welcome and good luck with the surprise!

Hope everyone is doing well. :goodvibes

Thank you! So far, able to keep the surprise, but I don't think I can tell another person about it...no one else can keep their mouths shut and ask me random ?'s about it in front of DD. So far, she's clueless-gotta love 4yo's-but still. Eventually, she'll catch on.

Here's what I've got so far:

Arrive Sat. 25th in the late afternoon-exploring the resort. I'm planning on ordering personalized Mickey ears and maybe the Royal Welcome package for the girls. Maybe DTD depending on what time we get in and how we are all doing (Driving from NH!)

My plan for the Monday, which is DDs birthday:

MK RD, Tangled M&G, BBB, Lunch at CRT

That's all I've got, because, well, I've been dreaming about it since I was pregnant with her.:lovestruc

Thinking about maybe one other character meal during the trip, but not sure about other ADRs. We were going to do the QSDP, but now I'm on the fence.

Since DD2 will be too young for BBB, I'd like to do something cool with her too at some point during the trip--I'm wondering if we can hold out for her 1st haircut.

That's about as far as I've gotten.

Oh! But, here's something crazy I just realized last night: When I called to book the resort, I was told our ADR date would be Sept. 27th. I just wrote it on the calendar and didn't think about it. Yesterday when I logged in to view the resort ressie, it had our ADR date at Aug 29th!!!!!! And, when I count up the days, it looks like the Aug. date is correct. :confused3 Glad I found this out now and not the end of Sept.!!!

Anyone else have tentative plans to share? What is on your "must do" list? Any ideas for other cool stuff to do with a 2.5 year old?

Kim -

first, HI! My name is Kristi ;)

We are going the 12th through the 20th. May play with the dates a bit. If we go a few days earlier we might be able to tack on a few more days.

The only thing set in stone is we have to be in Epcot for Valentines Day.

That was the *best* this past Feb. All the princes are out with the princesses, as its Valentines Day. My DH was very gracious in waiting in the lines and getting pictures taken.

(most of which, I was quite red, those princes are darn good looking!):rotfl:

DH wants to eat at Le Cellier again, but I am thinking maybe Teppan Edo or Via Napoli.

We are "attempting" to eat at every resturant in Epcot (our fav park), so the bulk of our meals will be there.

We had the QS plan in July, I *loved* it. I honestly dont think we saved money doing it, but the convience was well worth it for us. ;)

We had the basic dining plan in February (hoping they do free dining again), and since it was free last time, saved us tons of money!
