Just getting ready to leave and drive to Detroit we fly out tomorrow morning so far so good with flights leaving I guess from what I have seen on line, some cancellations but I think by tomorrow morning it should be on track.

Wow what a temper tantrum Mother Nature is having can't believe the weather that has hit the coast again. DS said "maybe if we gave her some chocolate she might get in a better mood - it works for you mommy". It can't hurt so he put out a chocolate heart on the door step. Here's to hoping she likes chocolate.

Has anyone ever had flowers delivered from Disney Floral & Gifts? If so, did it go well? Did the party receiving the flowers/gifts just love it?

10 more days... I wonder if the recent Snowpacalypse is going to increase the crowds from 2/12-2/19 with people pushing their trips back?

Anyone have general crowd level info for those days? (I wont ask for specific numbers, since I know those are supposed to be subscriber-only for the various websites...I just want to get a general idea of the predicted crowd levels)


Vacation cant come soon enough. From now til the Friday before we leave, I'll probably be working 14 hour days (including this weekend) to try and finish this project for work I'm working on, because it's due for the Monday I'll be in WDW. (I always wanted to learn iPad development, but it would have been nice if my first project wasnt "This needs to be done in 2 weeks, or we may lose a big client"... Yikes. Talk about pressure.)

We lucked out in the weather department!

Lots of snow and ice last week...but today it's 65 and sunny!

The bags are packed, the car has gas in it, and once we take the dogs to the kennel tomorrow afternoon, that's the last thing to be done, and we will be off at 5am Friday morning!

9 more days! Packing has been difficult with the kids not finding out but I am almost done packing. I need to do some much needed shopping before we go but other wise we are ready. Dh printed our maps today. I am praying the video comes out great so I can send it asap to disney

No snow in the forecast for next Friday so far! Yay! Hope everyone is ok today. Here in Maine the sun is shining but it looks like more snow on Saturday. Blech. We have nowhere left to put the snow! I am so ready to fly away from white snow to white sandy beach at CBR!

I was originally staying at AKL, but work was not as good for my husband this year, so in able to keep the trip, we tightened up our budget and changed to pofq! it was better than canceling! im really excited about it though. akl is the goal for next time!

Ahhh, I see. We are staying at AKL and I haven't made any specific room requests so I wanted to know if this building 4 was something I should know about. We stayed at POFQ years ago and really, really liked it.

Have you stayed at POFQ? I love it! We are there in 10 days!! Once DH knew about the trip, I asked if he wanted to try another resort and he quickly vetoed that.

Bldg. 4 was just refurbished. I put in my request for that bldg, as bldg 5 just started on the refurb.

We've done this several times over the years (first time was 1985!) and has been a hit every time! It may not always arrive when you expect - might be later in the evening, but usually it has been in our room when we return from a park in the afternoon. Have also surprised friends and they always loved it too.

Just did my online checkin for the Resort!!!


I am faxed over my request for bldg 4 or 6, both recently referbed. I would prefer 4 as DH likes to be by the food/bar (he is looking forward to see Mark, a bartender at Scat Cats) and I want to be semi close to the laundry/hot tub.

Hope everyone is good.. the board is getting quieter as people are heading out.
