I know its late in the game. I finally got our touring plans all figured out, so I ordered my customized maps for the trip.

They wont arrive until after we home, or while we are there. However, I think DH will like them.

We didnt order them last time, as it was our first trip and I had no idea what I would like and what I wouldnt like.

Who knew the Tiki Room could be ruined to throughly.

I really think the weather dudes just use a dartboard or pull numbers out of a hat or something for their forecasts. For the past 4 days I have checked to see what our first day (11th) might look like, and the forecast highs have been: 69, 83, 61, and now 77. Seriously? I know that forecast numbers will of course vary as the forecast period shortens, but that is too crazy of a difference. Who knows what tomorrow will show -- 90? 40?

I'm so happy for those of you who have been able to alter plans to beat the yucky weather! I'm still crossing my fingers that all of y'all will get there smooth and easy!!

I guess this is all part of the same system that's supposed to wreak havoc on where a lot of you live... Today it's in the mid-70's, tomorrow our high is in the mid-60's early, then by lunch time it's supposed to drop like a stone to the mid-30's. Highs in the upper 30's - low 40's for Wed. & Thurs., then we have a chance of SNOW on Friday. The last time we had a freak snow event was '04, and my son was in heaven. Problem is, it tends to turn to sleet/freezing rain pretty quickly here, and we just have no clue how to drive in that mess. Give us two feet of water, no problem! lol Not looking forward to the commute to work at that point.

I know you all have zero sympathy for us Southerners and cold weather, I just thought I'd give y'all a good laugh.

MRSMOM- THANK YOU SO MUCH! I checked our flight and sure enough its listed as able to change free of charge to any other flight via continental. Good thing I looked when I did (right after seeing your post) because people are bailing out of our orignial almost sold out flight like crazy- We were unable to push it up, since the nonstop is all sold out for tomorrow morning, but we were able to push the flight back from 9am to 3:40pm wednesday- by then the storm will be over here. It STINKS to not be able to go to the park that day but- at least I know we will be able to get to Disney safely and not miss too much time!

I have a question. I've read they give you a special pin or something for your first time to WDW. We are at MK the first day and I'm told you can get this at town hall. Is this true? Anybody else done this? What do they give you? Do you just go up and say, hey, this is my first time here? My first time was in 1984 i think but I want to suprise DBF with doing this when we first get there. I'd love for CM's to call attention to it being his first time while we are there.

Thanks Chris- now DH and I are both wondering what if..... what if the storm isnt as bad as they say- what if are original flight takes off at 9am as planned? Then we will miss 6 hours in disney Maybe we shouldnt have switched...maybe it will get canceled.....who knows lol

wow 80 pages never in my life time could I finish that many in one weekend. I don't really have a page number I want to finish the Sea World pics from two years ago so I am a liitle caught up on vacations.

If I don't get off the computer I will never be ready to go scrapping.

....on hold now with Disney who is on hold with Delta! Finger and toes crossed, sprinkled with pixie dust and wishing upon a star that the airlines cooperate and let us fly out early

Edited: we are leaving tomorrow morning at 7:25 instead! Disney was so helpful and accomadating!!

WOW 80 pages????? I usually get 5 MAX done during a whole weekend of scrapping (and this is fundraising marathon scrapping - 48 hours straight!!!)

Allison, just remember that you have peace of mind now. You will get there, even if late. Just remember I paid $800 more for my flights because i wanted peace of mind that i'd get non-stop one-way flights at a decent time. Just relax and ENJOY!!!!!

Guess I'm not the only one in the family having the Disney Blues. Just printed out my daily/weekly schedule and before I could get them our puppy ate them. If you remember he is the same puppy that eats all Disney planning stuff. Guess he is telling me something NO PUPPY SITTER.

Your welcome Allison, We have to wait it out because dayton airport cancelled all flight out of there tomorrow so i am hoping our flight won't get cancelled Wednesday morning. if it does we might get try to switch to lexington ky airport. Have a safe trip!!

I think the blues come from not having any more planning to do. So nothing to do but sit and wait. One good thing: I (re)confirmed all my ADRs today for the 100th time. When I revamped my park schedule (changed days) a few weeks ago, I couldn't get another Akershus for breakfast like I previously had so I ended up with a lunch which I wasn't thrilled about. Lunch ressies seem like a PITA - to have to drop whatever you're doing in the park and go to lunch..... as I was going over everything today, I realized I did have a breakfast ADR on that day. I had so many possible scenarios in the beginning of my planning that I made multiple reservations for every possible scenario and I guess I never cancelled that breakfast, so it worked out perfectly.

Well....we decided to head down to Philly tonight, stay at the Hilton at the airport, and we changed our flights to the first one out (6:40) tomorrow morning, all in hope of beating the snow and ice.

I'm running around like a lunatic, making sure that my DS15 is packed completely....he is leaving with the band at noon tomorrow, headed to JFK for a 5pm flight.

My head is spinning, but I will be so happy to put my feet on the ground tomorrow in Orlando, at 9:35 am! We get a whole extra day! WOO HOO! (we bought 5 day passes but were only going to use four days! Glad we kept the five days!!)

I just checked the Orlando forcast for feb 10-14 and it did a total turnaround today! It went from cold and wet to warm and sunny!!! YAY!!! Please stay this way!!!!
