FEMA and the National Guard are now here and helping with the seach effort. 24 dead so far. on the plus side the missing count has gone from 176 down to 90. Feeling over whelmed right now as so many unknowns. Friends from DD12's school, and some of my coworkers. All have lost love ones and homes. Thank you all once again for your prayers.

Once again thank you all for your prayers. As of this time it has now become a recovery mission. 30 are confirmed dead and down to 15 missing. 29 of the dead have been identified, one has not. The body does not match any of the missing. Some of the bright spots are that the # of missing has dropped as communications are back up and the list can be verified. One of the local banks has even said they will forgive any car or home loans on the property that was destroyed. Great news as now one had the insurance that covers land slides. Also Cathlic Community Services is paying for all the funerals, so that is one thing the families do not have to deal with. It continues to amaze me how our small community has pulled together. Everyone has lost a family member or a friend or a co-worker or even all of the above. Yet we continue to support and help each other. God's grace is truely amazing. Thank you again for all your prayers.

Thanks. He was transferred to CCU last night. DW is still waiting for the next proclamation/ diagnosis from the doctor.

Turns out he had to have gall stones removed from the bile duct. Next up, gall bladder to be removed. It may not come out until Monday.

Thanks. He is still in the hospital and doing well. The surgery will happen on Monday since the local hospital doesn't do them on the weekends.

One last Lap slide update. 41 dead, 2 still missing. Searching has been scaled back to areas that were inaccessible as they can get to them. Now the recovery and rebuilding begins. There have been a lot of funerals already. To many for such a small community. Once again thank you all for your prayers as now there are decisions to make on rebuilding. Even so far as to where to put the new roadway.

This has to be such scary time. Are insurance companies paying? Will they rebuild? Will ther be another slide? Can or should they relocate? How is the infrastructure? Continued prayers for all involved.
