The offense is not impressive? Their last 3 games the combined score has been 141-7, but you're right, that's not impressive. But, I bet that 200-7 wouldn't have impressed you either. Vick doesn't need to pass a lot, when you're up by that many points in a game, do you see most teams passing the ball, or rushing? That's right, you run the clock down and leave with no injuries. You don't sit in the pocket and pass. You have watched football, right? But I guess WVU never gets those huge leads, so you might not know what that's like :)

Oh, I dunno...We did an awful lot of running when we wiped the field with your oh-so-not-overrated Hokies two years ago. :rotfl: I think that one linebacker Quincy Wilson ran over is probably still seeing stars.

But we'll see tomorrow. I can guarantee you aren't going to run the ball all over us. If we can keep your defense or special teams from getting a score, it's going to be up to Chester the Molester to beat us with his arm...and our defense isn't made up of 14 year old girls he's conveniently liquored up. :rotfl:

Be nice, or I might have to bring up a certain SuperDome experience in the New Year of 1994.

Our 96 team could score with this Trojan Team. I'm sure
Not cool, sodaseller :teeth: We were ticked to even be IN that game, when a one-loss F$U was playing for the mythical national championship. Then, early in the second quarter, one of your linebackers just clocked our second QB (we had a two QB system that year), and our coach didn't notice that Studstill was looking at the pretty birdies. :rotfl: By the time he got him out of the game, the rout was on. Too depressing to think about. ;)

I've got an UGA fan friend that you would get along with...He, too, thinks the sun rises and sets in the SEC. ;)

Have you heard about the new Hokie mascot ?

That would be UF LB Monty Grow on that option play, causing Studstill to play with his helmet sideways and throw the pick to Lawrence Wright, leading to his serpentine return.

I remember the "We beat the team that beat the team that beat the team" T-Shirts alll over the French Quarter

You don't like to dwell much on the current season, do you? You look a lot to the past, it seems. Doesn't matter what happened last year, or last week, only matters what happens this Saturday. And it will be a humiliating loss for WVU, especially at home.

No, at WVU, they're all in the stands.

Yep, that's the play I was talking about. I actually had to swap shifts at the Pentagon so that I could be home to watch that game. What a waste of a day off...lol...

Still ticks me off we got stuck with UF instead of playing NU for the title. I mean, we'd beaten #4 Miami and #7 BC, and had played a decent schedule. We got hosed, and weren't happy going into the Sugar Bowl to begin with. Not a good mindset when playing a team as dangerous as the Gators were back then.

Two good stories about that mindset. In 96, one of my AU business associates tells me in late October that he has just been in Manhattan and the buildings were lit up in Orange & Blue. He thought it was for the upcoming UF-AU game, and was mad because it was in Royal Blue and Sunshine Orange - UF's O&B rather than AU's Burnt Orange and Navy Blue. I had to inform that the New Yorkers were celebrating the Mets in the World Series, not taking sides in the AU-UF rivalry.

This same guy later overhears me talking about Michael Milken being investigated by the SEC. He asks what school he coaches at and whether he was paying recruits.

Both true stories

Umm...we've been talking about the current year. (Remember all that "overrated" talk you butted into ?) Let me guess...You're a Tech grad, right ? :rotfl:

Aw...what's the matter ? Does it bother your conscience that you support a child molester just because he wears those gawd-awful colors ? Don't take it out on me...Blame your coach. He's the one that keeps bringing criminals to Blacksburg and dressing them in Burnt Orange and Maroon.

I've been talking a lot about the current year. You like to talk about "Remember when..." or "2 years ago...". That's when you had teams. Now you don't. But I guess that would make it hard to talk about the present. Did you know Frank Beamer is in 4th place on the most wins at Mountaineer Field, behind Nehlen, Rodriguez and Paterno?

My conscience is fine, I didn't do what he did. You just made a reference to under-age drinking, and I immediately thought of your stadium.

GO BUCKEYES!! BTW, great game Longhorns. Anytime you can come into the Horseshoe at night and come out with a win, my hat's off to you.

It was a big win, probably the biggest win of Mack Brown's tenure.

Seemingly, it was the ONLY big win of Brown's tenure. :rotfl:

Not so fast Bob. I remember a big victory over Nebraska a few years ago that no one expected. OU is Brown's only real stumbling block.

If you are talking about the 1996 Big-12 Championship Game, that was before Coach Brown. But we Gators remain eternally grateful for that upset!

I actually consider last year's Rose Bowl win over Michigan to be Mack's biggest win. That UM team was better than they are this year and taking into account it was a BCS game. Granted I think this year's Buckeye team is more talented than last year's Wolverines, so the win might have been more impressive from that standpoint. But it's hard to compare a September game to a New Year's Day bowl game in terms of significance.

1 - We didn't "struggle" with East Carolina.
Seriously? Your team gave them 287 yards on offense. That sounds like a problem to me.

IIRC, the win over Ohio State was his first win over a top 10 team since his first year as coach. Not a real stellar record in a "big" game.

There cannot possibly be a worse stadium in college football than the Metrodome! It's a mile off campus and has no personality.

My most distinct memory of a Gophers game in the Metrodome is when they lost a 28 point lead in the 4th quarter of a game against Michigan two years ago!

I stand corrected!

Since when does yardage equal struggling ? By that measure, I guess Tech must have gotten destroyed by NC State, since they were outgained almost two-to-one in that game. And I guess South Florida must have really struggled with Louisville, since they were outgained by nearly 140 yards on the game.

And, you may not realize it, what with VPI's lofty defensive rating, but WVU is #4 in the nation...right behind Tech's defense at #3. Granted, we didn't play any juggernauts like NC State (lost to UNC) or a QB with viral meningitis, but still... :rotfl:
