~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

Wish I would have would have seen the villains ones before I ordered the princesses! Now I guess I need to get a second pair.... Sigh....
yes, it's weird... some are sold at Zumiez, some at Journeys and some at Vans ( you would think they would have everything)- you can where one of each and have a good foot and a bad foot!!

We have 10 of us headed to WDW 12/19-12/28 and are so excited to be there altogether for Christmas! We will be staying at POP Century for the first time with FD (another first!). :santa:

I'm wondering if anyone else is on pins and needles waiting for the December calendar to be updated! Exactly one week from today we make our ADRs and we still don't know exactly which days we will be where for our trip. We have started an outline, but would love to be able to finalize it with the help of Easy WDW analysis especially at the end of the trip where the crowd is all 10's. Of course, maybe at that point it doesn't really matter!

We don't have too many ADRs to make since we are on the QSDP but we are paying for a few OOP and want to also try to get into BOG for lunch. We also are hoping for Ohana, CP, and 1900 PF for Christmas morning. I'm worried because they all seem hard to get except for probably CP lunch. To make it even harder, we want BOG towards the beginning since that's when our MK days are likely going to be. Any suggestions on the order when making ADRs? I was thinking I would have two laptops ready to go for 3 AM!

Please add us to the lovely Holiday list! Dec. 13-20 at SSR! Jingle Bell ROCK!

My TA got our first 2 ADRs made (split stay so that's all she could do today) - 'Ohana dinner on the 14th and BOG lunch at 2pm on the 15th. YAY!! The only thing I would have liked differently is the 'Ohana dinner is at 8pm. We're going to be at Universal that day and coming to Disney late afternoon so I didn't want the dinner too early but was hoping for a 7:30 reservation. Just going to keep an eye out and see if we can get that moved just cause 8 is a bit late for my kids for dinner especially since we have EMH at 8 at MK the next morning to hit. But the good part is that there is a scheduled Wishes at 10pm so we could see those from Poly beach which would be cool.

Got all of the ADRs we wanted with the exception of Liberty Tree Tavern (I think they aren't taking ressies right now because of the refurb) and Raglan Road wouldn't come up. Any pointers on that one? I am needing it for Dec. 21st dinner. I tried opentable but it says they don't book that far out.
Here's what we got:
Dec. 15th Ohana dinner (8:00pm, this should let us see the fireworks right?)
Dec 16th Garden Grill dinner
Dec 17th early lunch at BOG
Dec 18th The Wave dinner
Dec 19th Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner
Dec 20th open right now (not sure what we're doing that day yet)
Dec 21st 1900 Park Fare breakfast

We check out on the 22nd. So glad that I got these!

You can't do 180+10 days with open table. Try them again in a week.

If you look up raglan road on tripadvisor, and use their link to make the open table reservation, you can see through early December, at least.

After all the planning and making ADRs and figuring out what park on which day...last night DH turned to me and said "You know, I've been looking into it and I don't think one day at MK is going to be enough."

:headache:

I've had to go back and rearrange our days and reservations and all that.

I now have 15 emails confirming dining reservations and 8 confirming canceled dining reservations.

If he changes his mind again, I might lose mine! :faint:

Last ADR made this morning. Yay! Beaches and Cream at 6pm on 6/16. My DD wants to do get the kitchen sink as her birthday treat.

ADRS done. Just waiting for Candlelight Processional to open up. Also, it appears that Mama Melrose hasnt been loaded into the system for Fantasmic package or regular reservations. Made an ADR at Sci FI and can always FP Fantasmic but would prefer to do package thru MM. Have to wait and see. Also got an 810 Crystal Palace ADR but, if park hours change then, I probably wont keep it. Not sure of the chances of that, it's Thursday the 17th and it's a parade day, not sure they will open earlier. From what I looked at they started MK early hours the Sunday before Christmas last year.

I just now found this thread.

We'll be heading to the World on 12/4/15, staying at both Boardwalk and Wilderness Lodge (with a week on the Disney Fantasy in between), leaving on 12/20/15. There are 3 in our immediate family and 6-7 in extended family that will be joining us for various parts of the trip. Got most of my ADRs: Raglan Road hasn't got the dates I want open yet and I'm having a heck of a time trying to get Beaches and Cream for dinner on 12/4 :(.

I just did my ADR's....I fell asleep at 2:30 and woke up at 9a. Got everything so I'm very relieved. My sister would have been heartbroken in I didn't get BoG. Not that she'd know until November

Hello!!!! My mom and I (Erin) will be making our annual trip (other than last year) from Dec. 10-16th! Staying at POR in a Royal Guest Room w/Garden View! Normally we go for Food and Wine and haven't been for Christmas since 2009 so I can't wait. The most hilarious part is this turned from a fairly cheap long weekend into a full on all out vaca. I was lucky enough to get $34 (yes, that's right) round-trip tickets to Orlando so without any plans in mind I just bought them immediately! :woohoo:

We'll be doing the MVMCP on Dec. 11th and Candlelight Processional on Dec. 13th. And for those of you that are obsessed with Dis food as much as I am...these are my ADRs!:

D: Boatwright's
B: Olivia's Cafe
L: Tusker House
D: Jiko
B: Cape May Cafe
L: San Angel Inn
B: Whispering Canyon Cafe
D: Flying Fish Cafe
B: Crystal Palace
D: Narcoossee's
L: 50's Prime Time Cafe

(So many 'cafes'!)

Looking forward to all of the planning and Christmas info that will be coming out in the next several months. Woo! :santa:

Okay, it's taken me 4 days but I *think* I have finally settled on ADRs and park days. I've got tentative meals planned for CS places at each park but I won't bore anyone with those, these are just the places I think we need ADRs for.

Dec 10-15, 2015

Dec 10:
DHS - lunch at SciFi

Dec 11:
AK

Dec 12:
Epcot - dinner at Sanaa

Dec 13:
MK - dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern (do we need ADRs for this???)

Dec 14:
DHS - lunch at 50's Prime Time, dinner at California Grill then watch Wishes from the viewing area

Dec 15:
AK - lunch at Yak & Yeti

If someone can let me know if I have made a terrible mistake in any of my plans, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Sanaa is great!! If you can go during the daylight at all you can watch the animals as you eat. :)

Not sure if anyone is still looking for flights but when SW released the flights several weeks ago I booked our return flight but held out on the flight to Disney because every flight was outrageous on 11/28. I have checked constantly and prices were not budging, even for the bday sale they just had. Well persistence has finally paid off tonight, the flights we wanted went down and I am saving over $200 from what they have been listed at.

In case anyone is wondering we fly in and out of Houston which is one of the most expensive cities to fly from/to. UGH!!!

I know it's a bit of a drive, but it might be worth it to look into flying out of Austin. We're in San Antonio, but flights out of Austin were roughly $500 cheaper for the three of us. And the times get us to orlando earlier and keep us there later. :)

When we went at this same time a couple of years ago, we did fly out of Austin which is right under a 4 hour drive for us but we were able to get flights for $99 each way through Jet Blue. It definitely made it worth the drive but I haven't seen anything close to that and Jet Blue only has one MCO flight in and out each day. The SW rates look pretty good but thankfully I finally got decent rates out of Houston and driving to Austin would only save me around $90 total for 3 of us.
