~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

So awesome, congrats! I book tomorrow and I am nervous! Party of 3 here, too :D
Congrats on your ADR's, I like your choices, I have only eaten at a few of them over the years (Crystal Palace and TRex), I would like to go to Ohana and Boma, maybe next trip.

Hi! My first post :) We are going with a large party (14) Dec 5-12. We are staying off site. I started making my ADRs this morning. I wanted Beaches and Cream for lunch. Called right at 7:00 am and there was no availability. Should I start preparing myself for lots of disappointment? A bad combo of staying off property and a large party seems like it's going to make my hard to get ADRs (like Ohana and BOG) next to impossible. Anyone have experience with this?

Well, starting to seem real now. Made dining reservations this morning but stressful! BOG is full for our 1st night so now my schedule will need to be redone on which parks we go to according to reservations. Gonna try again tomorrow morning for our 2nd night and keep fingers crossed. But at least we got Chef Mickeys

I could only use opentable through trip advisor to get that far out, but using it was a dream after my adr horror story with dinsey's site Saturday morning.

I keep getting this message from OpenTable "Your requested date exceeds the maximum advance reservation limit for Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant."

My DD did our ADR's, she tried to book BOG for lunch and received a message that they were full for all of our proposed times, so she made another ADR else where, about an hour later, she received an email stating that BOG had opened up for one of our proposed lunch times. SCORE!! DD booked dining reservations using the MDE app. I hope all goes smoothly with the rest of your planning.

Awesome. I am hoping to get a CPP at Coral Reef. 1900 Park Fare, and I have no clue about the other one. We are on the DP.

I don’t know what’s going on but my app isn’t working for the date that I need. On the computer, I’m able to book for December 7 yet on the app it only allows me to go to December 6. Is this happening to anyone else?

yes, for me too. I'm sure it is because we are not at our able to book date. Mine opens up on the 21st.

Yes, app wasn't recognizing my check out date either. Not sure why not? Website wasn't working, so had to do that day over the phone.

So we've tweaked our dates a bit, hoping you can update us on the roll call. New dates are 11/30 - 12/5. I'm officially 5 days closer to my trip now!! :)

I have read about people applying both Orbitz and Disney discounts together to get the biggest discount on there room. Has anyone here ever done this? how is it done, do you book with Orbitz first then call Disney and add there discount? Any help would be great thanks :)

It doesn't quite make 180+10. I got the same message for 12/8, but was able to book 12/4. Your date might be too far out. Also, trying it any way other than trip advisor, date options end in August.

Thank you! My son in law really wants to go there!

We booked this way for our last trip. Search for your dates on Orbitz with the code REVIEW15. This may have an expiration prior to your scheduled trip. Most of the listed discounts don't work for WDW properties, this one does. Select the hotel you want with the Promo code link (they show up both with and without). Orbitz uses the Disney discount plus 15% off. You can't get the DDP. Do not include kids when you search (orbitz adds money for kids). Call Disney to add kids after you book. This is painless and free. Some people have reported different service as an Orbitz customer, but we had seamless service. Everything else about our vacation proceeded just as if we had booked with Disney (they provide you with a code to link MDE to). All that said, we found a better discount t this time with an agency, but will not hesitate to check Orbitz in the future.

I haven't had that problem personally, but had some friends going as a "large" group and they wound up splitting up their group and were able to get some reservations as 2 separate groups of 4 (at or near the same time) rather than one group of 8.

I am trying to decide whether or not to make an ADR for my rest day. Part of the beauty of a rest day for my family is that we have some flexibility versus our pre-planned park days. That said, we love TS. We have a character breakfast in mind. I sort of want to leave the rest of the day open to see how hungry we feel and where we end up. Is it impossible to find same day reservations (party of 5) on a Saturday in the busiest part of the season? I am wondering about something like Splitsville or Dine in Theater even. I know we would have to be flexible. Just curious if anyone has done this.

I checked the dates and I was able to make my 12/4 on 6/7, but could not make one for 12/8. It seems it lets you book 5 mos and 3 weeks prior.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I was able to get the reservation this morning, for the time I wanted!! You are made of Awesome-Sauce Aerinha!!!
