~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

I am soooo excited about our trip. First trip ever to WDW. Only took 46 years but finally it’s happening. Now I can compare to Disneyland and see what we got. We are going Dec 6-13. Staying off property at our timeshare so that saved us $$ for shopping. Haven’t gotten our park tickets but yep, got our MVMCP tickets the day they went on sale. We are going Dec 8. December can’t come fast enough this year but that week will surely go fast. My boss’ wife is a Disney travel agent so we are meeting for lunch soon to help me plan and get everything straight since it is sooooo different than Disneyland.

Roll call updated! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one waiting on buying our MVMCP tickets. I think it's insane that they went on-sale before the park hours for December have even been released. o_O (I went on a whole rant on this topic in my PTR.) I know what date I'd ideally want, but before I buy I need to set up a finalized itinerary, and to finalize our itinerary I need PARK HOURS. :scared:

Can you add us to the roll call? We're heading to Disney from November 27-December 5 - Staying at Caribbean Beach Resort! This will be my third trip to Disney, but I'm surprising my DD4 as it will be her first trip ever! She's has discovered my photo albums from previous trips and has been all about all things Disney!

What a fun thread! I never knew these existed! We're officially booked for Dec 30 - Jan 7 at Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas - Kidani. So excited!! Its our first time at a deluxe resort and first time in the winter. We've gone twice before as a family in the spring and summer. Totally looking forward to seeing all the decorations!

I also have a ptr going, if anyone is interested. Elevationist - I'm also celebrating my 35th birthday in Dec! Birthday twins!! Lol! (Yes, I lurked your ptr... that's how I found this thread. ;) I'll catch up & say hi!)

Hubby and I  are booked at POR over Christmas and New Years! December 24th to January 4th. We booked the MYW plus Dining Plan. Just came back a few weeks ago from the POFQ and POR and loved them both, but POR won out for this next trip. Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of POFQ, but the POR was more our speed. We have a 10 day PH. Already planning where to eat, but it's not easy to plan when we don't have the official hours yet. Can't wait for June to come so we can get to work on this! :hourglass Also planning to book the Candlelight Processional. Should be an awesome trip! :tigger:

We are one step closer! Hubby and I say down and went over the pros and cons of driving vs flying and, with the unpredictable weather in late Nov and early Dec, we decided we would rather drive than get stuck at an airport with Thanksgiving travelers. (We leave just after I get off work on 11/28). We found a rental minivan for just under $500 for ten days. Woohoo!

In other news, I am still waiting to hear about how much of my PTO is approved and how much I have to beg for trades for. I work retail, so this is the worst time of year for me to ask off, but the best for me to actually be on vacation and not working!

November park hours are out, so December can't be far behind! Am way too geeked over this. LOL. :)
Yay! They are!

But, they aren't what I was expecting. I hope they extend them a little. And, what's up with no Wishes during Thanksgiving week?

Roll call is updated. :goodvibes

I'll get it added to the 1st page of the thread! :thumbsup2

Woooo! Birthdayssss! And yes, no lurking permitted on my PTR, please say hello!! :cutie:

You know, I'm taking a closer look at them now that you said that, and I'm willing to bet that whole Thanksgiving week is an error. I've seen it happen before. When they first put up the October hours last month, there was an entire week where they forgot to put down anything in the Extra Magic Hours blocks at the bottom. It took a few days for them to catch it and correct it. :confused3

Joining this thread. Don't know my exact dates but it will be early December. I want to stay at AKL and probably will be going solo again. Hubby will not fly in the winter, lol.

Ok, what am I doing wrong? I can't seem to find the November Park hours. Can someone post a link? The first 3 days of our trip start in November and I would love to add actual hours to my spreadsheet! :hyper:

I asked WDW Prep School on Facebook and she said she expects them to be added later, so you are right.

Our trip dates shifted and I'd like to join you all! We were planning a November trip but it's been pushed back a bit to November 25-December 3, we're staying at the Contemporary, Garden Wing. I'm excited about addingthose December days as the parks should be pretty empty compared to the start of our trip! My youngest son and daughter will be there with my sisters, their kids (all girls), and my parents. My daughter (6) was 10 months old the last time we went and is beyond excited! We'll be heavy on the princesses this time around princess:

Already on the roll call for 11/27-12/5...I'm starting to TRY to plan our trip based on the released November hours. I've read that they may change since it's Thanksgiving week. However, what are your thoughts on which park(s) we should start? I've read that the crowds will be bad through the remainder of the weekend after Thanksgiving. I am guessing we may be able to head from our resort to the park around 1 or 2pm on arrival day (day after Thanksgiving). Also, it will be just me and DD(4) if that makes any difference. Are EMH recommended through that weekend or should I avoid parks with EMH until after the weekend?

I will be taking my family of 7 to Disney Dec. 20-28! This is our first Disney Trip! We are so excited! I haven't booked a hotel yet. I definitely want to stay onsite because I the know the week we're going will be INSANE! Right now, we are interested in staying at OKW. Any tips on getting the best deal? I was looking at renting DVC points through David's DVC but I'm not sure if I can get a better deal somewhere else. Any tips? What is the best place to buy tickets? Feel free to share any and all tips you have! =)

Hi, lustergirl! I know you from the April thread! Welcome! :wave2:

I'm doing the same thing, and I don't even arrive until December 4th. Hoping the EMH scheduled remains the same, because it's PERFECT for my trip. :thumbsup2

So excited to find this thread heading to WDW Dec 23rd till Jan 2nd staying at AOA

Hey! Can I join in? I'm just about to book a trip for my sister and myself for December 4th-9th, our every two years or so Sisters Trip. We've been doing this since 2011 and are super excited to be going AGAIN!!! Right now, we're both waiting impatiently for the park hours for Dec. to come out so we can plan our days and our dining reservations. We'll be staying at one of the All-Star Resorts and my sister will be having her birthday while we're there. I won't say which birthday it is because she reads these boards and will kill me if I tell!
