The OFFICIAL December 2014 - Christmas Magic

We're staying at the All-Star Sports over Christmas, just me and DD(8). She is very excited. It will be our first Christmas away from home, now that she, ahem, knows certain things about Christmas...so, kind of special.

On Christmas day, we plan to be at the Magic Kingdom and currently have ADRs for lunch at the Plaza and dinner at Tony's. I admit that I optimistically keep trying for BoG, but eh, whatever. It's all good. Just bought DD's annual pass, so we are ready to go!!!

How did your booking go? Were you on the facebook "chat" with us last night?

No. How do I find the FB page? That sounds like fun.

I didn't get in until 1 am. I started a thread on the Theme Park page and we all laughed and cried about waiting. :rotfl2:

I was able to get everything I wanted. Some on a few different days, but I got A&E and 2 different days of 7D so very happy! ::yes::

Will be up late Monday night to make FP+ rezzies. I've been thrown off by MSEP and CtM being after the fireworks instead of before. Wondering about MSEP FP+ time - does anyone know? I need to determine whether we will want to try for MSEP FP+ after the fireworks dessert party or not. Seriously stressed about FP+ rezzies!

Try not to stress. I was so stressed too but was able to get everything I wanted. Start at the end of your trip with the hardest gets and work backwards.

first time doing FP+ so I'm hoping all works out too!

Hi all
Have 44 days till Disney for 2 weeks.
MVMCP booked, CP booked, Character breakfasts booked (Chef Mickey and Ohana) Splitsville booked for our first night there. Staying off site so counting down till the 30 day mark for our FP then its last minute checking and rechecking. WE ARE SOOOOO EXCITED
Im 40 this year so a big year for me but at Disney I will feel like Im 8 again Im sure :)

Hello! We will be traveling to WDW with my fiancé's family December 26-January 1. We are going to be in Hollywood Studios for New Years Eve. This will be our second of two days at HS on the trip and so I was hoping to get advice on what the latest time we should shoot for in terms of entering HS was? I would really love to do MK in the morning (at rope drop) and then head over to HS around 12 or 1. What do you guys think? (We are staying onsite and most of our group has annual passes).

Don't see any answers on MSEP FP+ time during Christmas week yet.

So my other question is: Is there a way to check park capacity status so we know when we need to rush into or stay inside a park? (We would really like to take a mid-day break from MK on Christmas Eve but need to get back into MK for dinner rezzies at 4:50...)

I definitely would not leave. In previous years MK was completely closed by noon-ish in Christmas Eve and Day, so you probably wouldn't be let back in if you leave.

This is only me, I am not judging anyone that chooses different as we all think differently but for me personally if I were staying in Florida the month of December and January and you handed me a free pass to Disney for Christmas Day or New Years Day the ticket would go unused. Again just me and not judging anyone.

We are going to check out the holiday atmosphere at WDW - we know it will be crazy crowded and we don't plan to ride much other than using our 3 FP+s per day.
It's when the kids are out of school... I think it will be magical in a very different way from a trip during less crowded times. I don't plan to make a habit of visiting WDW during crowded times but am looking forward to checking it out this time. ;)
I stress about FP+ and have since its implementation - whether Christmas week, first week of June or January still in trials. I'm a plan/schedule/spread-sheet kind of mom, but this is too much planning even for me to enjoy...

I'm excited! Bring on the crowds! FP for me opens at midnight tonight. Still haven't figured out my schedule yet. The only thing I know for sure is that we will be at Epcot Christmas Eve and Magic Kingdom Christmas Day. :santa:

I'll be up tonight booking also! Best of luck. We're planning Epcot for Christmas Eve and MK for Christmas Day too!

Good luck to you too! :) At least we are not interested in A&E and The Mine Train so I'm not stressed. :goodvibes

To answer my earlier question about Christmas Parade, we got both 11:40 FP+ for noon parade one day and 3:10 FP+ for the 3:30 parade another day. We also got almost everything else we wanted with minor time juggling. Only surprise was that HM FP+ were already gone on our first night in WDW - :confused3
Good luck and pixie dust to others making holiday rezzies! pixiedust: May you be as happy with your FP+ reservation situation as we were. :cheer2:

Just seeing this. So glad you got everything you wanted! Our night and the night before us didn't open until 1AM. So strange!

You can search facebook for Magical Disney Christmas 2014 or try this link https://www.facebook.com/groups/442528252504161/.

Now that is awesome!!!:cool1: Congrats!!

We are only 45 days out from our trip now and getting so excited!!! I am still on the fence about MVMCP. I want to go, I just really don't know if it's in the budget. That's the trouble with making this trip so close to Christmas. December is an expensive month as it is and I am having a hard time allocating $300 of the trip spending money to the party when we will already have 6 day tickets and be going to Universal. I think I will decide a little closer to when we leave. If there are tickets left, great, and if not, we went last year and we'll live.
