The OFFICIAL December 2014 - Christmas Magic

Hello Everyone! We will be joining the Christmas week crowd also! Dec 20-30! Staying off site. Upset with myself for not realizing we could have stayed on property with free dining, next time I will not make assumptions! So happy that I finally get to be in my happy place for the holidays!

Stay Play & Dine just came out for Disney Visa today. It should come out for the general public on the 9th. It covers December 14-20. I think as long as you check in during the promotion, you can have the promotion for your entire stay. It won't be free dining, but you would get dining and tickets at kid prices for everyone in your group. http://www.mousesavers.com/walt-dis...isney-world-vacation-package-discounts/#dvpsd

Thank you for the update! We have booked thru priceline, so for this year we will stay off site. I will be paying better attention next year for sure!

yay 60 days to go. FP+ taken care of and only have flights and MVMCP tickets to get. I am so behind and this trip is coming fast! I did get a CP ressie for the 6th with Whoopi Goldberg though!:cool1:

Well we booked our resort back in April or May, but then the airfare was way too high so we were going to cancel..........I decided to take one last look at the airfare this week, and WOW!!!! Prices were reasonable so I bit the bullet! :cool1:

We will be staying at Pop, Dec. 20-30. I know it will be packed but I don't care. I've always wanted to go over the Christmas holidays. :santa:

Will be there December 26-January 1 with my fiancé and his family! So excited - just bought our flights and are getting annual passes this week :)

I couldn't bring myself to use 2 TS credits for the Candlelight Processional package, but we would like to see it. Which showing is the best for those who don't have the dining package? Especially if we don't want to wait in line for hours.

I've heard the first showing is by far the easiest to get a standby seat for, but even that has long lines sometimes. What are your dates?

Great question! I'm in the same situation, I don't want to use two credits. We'll be at EPCOT on December 12 & 18. I know EMH are on the 12, that's also the day we arrive and I figure it'll be mid to late afternoon before we can make it to a park therefore I picked the park with the longest hours that evening.

You would have Joe Morton on the 12th. I would think you would be able to get standby seating for him without waiting more than an hour. He's not very well known. I'm not sure how much longer the line would be just due to EMH though. (We'll be in EPCOT that night too but aren't doing CP that day.)

Ana Gasteyer is on the 18th. I would think she would be more popular with the Saturday Night Live history. But, a Thursday night would probably be less crowded in EPCOT overall.

If I were in your shoes, I would plan on trying for Joe Morton. If the line is way too long, I would change plans and hope for Ana and just be committed to waiting in line.

We went 2 years ago, and we started in line about 1 2/hrs before- we were right close by the front of line and had very good seats-for first showing. The lines do get long so I would suggest at least this same time. We are going again and have the deluxe dining plan so using 2 TS credits will work for us this time- but I agree its alot- I am only doing it so we can avoid having to wait in line so long. Enjoy it, it is by far my favorite activity in WDW for holidays followed by MVMCP

We're arriving on the 12th as well, and chose that day for Epcot, too! We're also doing Epcot the 18th like you are plus the 15th.

Joining in!
We're going for a quick weekend trip 12/4-12/7 but is there a Facebook group started?

This is exactly our thinking. We have never tried doing stand-by though. Our 1st trip, 4yrs ago, We had the regular dining plan, and it was worth the 2 credits. Because even with the combo pkg reservations, our line started forming about 10 min into the show before ours and the stand-by line was carried over from the previous show. We will always do the combo pkg. I like the peace of mind knowing that we are guaranteed seats.

We are doing the dining package. How early should we show up for CP? I know I've read it somewhere but have forgotten. I need to write it down.........

Luckily you'll have an additional day to try to see CP! I really want to see it, but won't let it ruin my holiday if I don't. If I don't see it I won't truly know what I'm missing.

It could all depend where your meal is. If you are eating near the amphitheater, you will be able to judge for yourself, once you leave the restaurant. But with a good rule of thumb would be, check out the line an hour before showtime. If it is still manageable, do some light shopping in Japan or Italy. If the line is reaching Japan, get in line.

Our last trip, we ate at the Garden Grille, which is the farthest restaurant from the CP. And we still sat in the 1st 7 rows.

Thanks! We have a 3:45 at the Rose and Crown for the 6:30 CP. We should have plenty of time then.

Hi everyone! We took our first trip to WDW last december and it was so magical I started planning our 2nd trip which is inching closer and closer!

We are staying at the Cabins (did last year as well). One of these days I want to try somewhere else but so far our party is always 6 people. I do love the cabins though!

Can't wait to be there! 12/18-12/21

So excited for our FIRST Disney Christmas! We'll be staying 20-26th! At CBR
