The Official Dec. 2010 Code Watch

Is it just me or do others think about this trip every single day????:lmao:

Ive been thinking about it everyday since Jan 1st 2009! Thats when we started planning last years trip that never happened:confused3:. There wasnt a day that went by that I wasnt devestated that we weren't going. I even called everyone on the day that we were supposed to leave to remind them that had they not backed out we would have been at Disney....I was bitter!!!! lol. I resumed the planning on Jan. 1st 2010 and to my surprise everyones coming!!!!!!!!!! My mom, my dad, my sister her hubby and son (5), me, my hubby, DD (8) and DS (4), My little brother and his plus 1 and our little sister and maybe a plus 1 for her!!!!!!!!!! This is going to be our first ever family trip that doesn't involve a wedding or the floor at Gramas house........ As of yesterday, my family and older sisters family are booked for 9 nights at POP! My mom and brother are booking their rooms early next week! I cant frickin wait! Do you understand me? I CANT FRICKIN WAIT!!!!!!!!!! I dont know what Im more excited about......Disney or the look on my moms face when she cries the first time she sees the castle :cloud9:. My family (DH, DD, DS) are the only ones that have ever been to Disney so this is going to be great. We decided to go with the DDP and have decided that there are several "musts" for us. We are planning "Spirit of Aloha" and the Fantasmic dinner. We are thinking of doing the grand gatherings breakfast but not sure though. None of us are big breakfast eaters except for the kids. We are pass holders for Busch Gardens Williamsburg so we are going to take a day and go to Sea World.....we pay for the passes may as well get some use out of them! DD wants to to the Kim Possible World Showcase thing so I think we might do that. We are just planning an EPIC vacation that will hopefully pixiedust: turn into a yearly event! Im already planning and picking up things to bring with us....Ive even convinced DH that we should trade in my SUV for a minivan! I told him that my parents would split the gas with us and for some reason he went for it......Im pretty sure he had done something wrong and was trying to make up for it :lmao: hehehehe. So in answer to the question.....yes, I think about it every single minute of every single day!

Add me to the list! I have my ADR list going I got the free dining scenario going and OOP dining scenario going. I've been researching MVMCP and other fun things to do this time out of the parks.

Who's planning on attending MVMCP??

My family thinks I'm nuts. I read the boards daily. Take my UG book into the bath with me. make spreadsheets and have renewed my subscription to TMG and Ridemax.

This will be our first trip not as a grand gathering and with no kids.... :cloud9: Don't get me wrong we love our children but between us there are 7 ages 3 - 21yrs.

Waiting on codes and trying to work out where to stay thinking Moderate as it's just us. We have only ever stayed at ASMo

I can't believe this thread started in September, and my family thinks I'm crazy

New guy here.

Can someone briefly explain about free dining, "pins", etc., and how to apply, or receive them please? Other promotional codes, etc.

My family is planning a 12/2 to 12/8 trip at a Budget w/ meals, etc.

Want to make the most informed choices that I can, obviously. Been to WDW at 12 YO, 26 YO, and now again at 36 YO.

Thanks very much in advance.

I do not think that anyone can book a Disney vacation and not get excited about it. Half the fun is doing the planning and getting the best vacation for the money. We are one of the lucky pin people, 40% off at the Poly Dec.7-16. and we added the deluxe dining and saved $1300 off rack rate. Now the hard part 10 months plus of going crazy. Have to hurry to plan adr's only 4 months until i can make them.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Welcome!

Pin codes (discounts ranging from free dining to percentages off of rooms etc) Are usually emailed to people, or sometimes when you call Disney they will be attached to your name. I've heard of others getting them on postcards in the mail. Some tricks to triggering codes for yourself is to register at disneyworld.com and make sure you check all the boxes to get all the promotional emails. Also people have said ordering the maps/DVD helps too. Once you register at disneyworld.com you can also save trips for the dates you are planning to go, most people just let them expire in hopes Disney will see they didn't book without a discount and send them a pin code. But, you can book a trip and then apply a pin code later.

But none of this guarantees a code of course! As I have done ALL this several times and have yet to get one! Even had DH register himself so we did everythingx2 and still NOTHING. I think Disney KNOWS i will go even if I dont get a code :rotfl:

We are looking at either the week before or the week after Thanksgiving. Any special offers would help sway us either way.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT THE CODEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I'm so EXCITED!!!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I just called Disney to check on AAA rates....we are booked at the Dolphin right now but DH really wanted WL so I called to compare...and I said hey any chance there is a PIN code for me? And the lady said Yes but I dont think the dates are for when you want to go...oh wait YES THEY ARE...WHAAAAATTT??????? I cannot believe it!!!!! :cool1::cool1:

We are holding a Contemporary Garden View King room at 222/night right now but there is also a WL Woodsview at 165/night I cant decide! There is also a Contemporary Theme Park view at 264/night What do you guys think????? Is the theme park view worth it???????

My husband thinks I'm nuts for how excited I am...Especially being overdue with our baby, he said "you are more excited about Disney World than the baby at this point" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: not true, but close :rotfl2::rotfl2:

YAY!!!:cool1: Go with the Theme Park View -- that's what I booked. I figured I'd never have a good deal like this again.

Keep up posted on the arrival of your little one. Congratulations!:lovestruc

I have no desite to stray at the Contemporary, so I would go with WL....but if you want to stay there and your DH is all for it, I would go with thempark view!
