The tickers that most of used to have came from a website that supposedly had viruses going around. You can get a ticker from the disboards now. That is what many of us are doing/did.

I got my ticker at the Dis board but it is just showing as url. Wanted to be cool like everybody else with their ticker, but not showing up. Guess I might as well delete it from my signature.

I tried to get more info but didn't get much...I think he ment the general offer of FD, but I have seen some post they had a PIN for FD...which we didn't. He said that they usually had the early Fall FD offer out about now, so he thought we would see something soon, and then to call when they extended it into Dec like last year. At this point we aren't counting on it, but it sure would be icing on the cake!!!! I figure it doesn't hurt to call and see if you have anything attached to your name. I have been saving ressies on the DW site for about a month, he said my pin of 20/30/40 when thru Dec. 16th.

A friend of mine went for the marathon weekend, and I suggested she try the same thing. She got the same deal (20% off values, 30% off mods, 40% off deluxes) and used it at POR. We got a week at the Poly.

Thanks for the information. I didn't notice that option before.

Now, can someone tell me what "FD" stands for? I have priced my vacation a few times on the DisneyParks website, but haven't gotten any kind of Pin for a December Discount. We will be at AKL, so 40% off would be a very nice way to save some money.

FD means free dining. Many times with a deluxe you are better off getting the 40% off instead of the free dining.

No, we're not booked yet. We're probably going to stay at the POP and would love to have free dining, even if it's quick service and we have to upgrade. If all we can get is a room discount, then we might consider a moderate resort. So I've been waiting patiently..... signed up on the Disney site under 2 email addresses, saved trips under both..... called a couple times...... and no PIN code.........

I haven't done the math, but I think 40% would save more money than free dining for 2 adults and 2 children. I assume the 40% only applies to the room not the park tickets.

We stayed at a value resort last year with 2 adults and two children, one of whom ate at adult prices. We saved more with free dining than the entire cost of the room. According to what I refer to as "Disney math" they were actually paying US to stay there!!!!

We stayed at a value resort last year with 2 adults and two children, one of whom ate at adult prices. We saved more with free dining than the entire cost of the room. According to what I refer to as "Disney math" they were actually paying US to stay there!!!!

With staying at a value, normally free dining is a better deal. We are staying at the Poly CL. We originally booked GV CL, but with the 40% we were able to upgrade to CL TPV and add two extra nights for the same as were paying for the original CL GV.

The 40% is off of the room only.

Hi everyone - DH and I were originally planning on taking the kids down in October, but now we're thinking December might be even better. The perk for us going in October is DS is still free...but the cheaper rates in December balances out having to pay for him.

Quick question - what is the likelyhood of FD being available in early December? That would just rock my socks and seal the deal as we haven't booked anything yet.....we're still up in the air about when to go as nothing is announced yet.

Yep.... I called twice already. Nothing attached to my name...... Soooooo......... still waiting patiently (ok.... maybe NOT so patiently!!!)
