The *OFFICIAL* CVS Thread - Post your CVS deals/questions here. *UPDATED OP*

Over the counter medicine is eligible under medical flexible accounts.. You just send in your receipts and they will reimburse you..

I just get a claim form from my flexible spending company and mail in my receipts.. I dont send them for just a few dollars.. but I try to send them in every couple of months.. with a few dr visits and rx copays and over the counter medicine receipts I have over $150 already.. Im about to send them in..

I set money aside each year as its tax free money and was thrilled when either last year or the year before they announced that over the counter medicine is eligible..
Thank you! I am going to look into it!

where did you all find the Aleve coupons??? I scanned my sunday paper twice and did not see this, even though in the CVS ad, it said that there was one in the Sunday paper.

Certain regions get certain coupons. I didn't get any of the med coupons - aleve, glucose monitor, etc. either :guilty: I also edited the original post with updates about printable coupons (Claritin) and rebate form for Bayer products.

Sidenote: Thanks to PolyHereWeCome and everyone else for the heads up on more savings :goodvibes

I so love this thread! Thank you, It's A Happy Day, for starting and maintaining it, and to all who help with updates and added hints. This is fun!

It's A Happy Day, I am not getting the Bayer rebate form link to work. Not sure if it's me or a broken link.

Thanks again! :goodvibes

Quick question about the Ascensia Contour Monitor ($30). My CVS insert stated that there is a $30 manufacturer's rebate. I also have a $30 off coupon in my Sunday paper. Does this mean that it is possible to actually *MAKE* $30 by purchasing this?

I am curious to find out too...I went to CVS last night and they were all out of the monitors. I am going to try another CVS today.

I hadn't intended to submit the rebate, thinking that of course it wouldn't be granted since I used the coupon and got it free. Do think that they're pretty savy about that. Guess if I'm feeling adventurous, I could give it a shot as the worst that will happen is I'll be out a stamp.

I went to CVS today and did NOT have a good experience. =( They rang in all of my stuff. Then they rang through my coupons. Then I had 2-$5 check things for baby formula. The snotty cashier said "I wish they wouldn't send these things to people...they are a pain in the butt." I replied "well, I have 3 children and they really help us out because formula is so expensive". She just glared at me. THEN, all of my ECBs went through except 2. Well, she called like 3 other people over to help her and ONE of the people alluded to the fact that maybe I had used them already. I said "No, I just barely printed them off and they have never been used before." She said "Oh, I wasn't saying you did." But, yeah, she basically was saying that. She then asked "Why do you print them off at home?" I said "Well, because your store does not have a little machine that can print them off before I start shopping. I would have to buy something in order for you guys to print them off for me on my next shopping trip." She just glared at me. I felt so small and all the other customers were looking at me. =( Now I am sitting in my cubicle pouting. =(

Sarahlovesmickey, sending you some happy thoughts so you can shake it off. Momma said there'd be days like this, lol. :goodvibes

Seriously, sometimes I think that you occasionally get a cashier that is jealous and they let their attitude show. Count up how much you saved today and think about what you can do with that money. ;)

One time I sent my DH to the grocery store to buy six Perdue oven stuffers. I sent him with a rain check and some high-value coupons that I had gotten as a 'refund' from Perdue. He said that the cashier was so upset (and rude) about 'just giving food away' that you would have thought she had purchased the store's poultry stock out of her own pocket. Translation: I wish I were taking home almost free roasters.

Did they get those two ECBs to work?

Thanks for the happy vibes. :goodvibes I am feeling better. They forced them through so they did end up working. As CVS employees, are they allowed to participate in the ECB program?? Anyone know??

Maybe they were jealous, who knows?? I know that I told one of my friends about the program (just sharing the wealth, ya know?!) and she said "I'm not going to do that. That is taking advantage." I replied "How is that taking advantage??"

Some people.......:confused3

My Shopping Report from yesterday, I made two trips to two different CVS':

First Trip:

Reese's Eggs - b1g1f - 2/$2.99
Aleve Liquid Gells - $3.99 - $1.00 coupon = $2.99
Bayer Aspirin 2 @ $3.99 - $1.50 coupons = $6.48
Dove Bars 2 @ $2.29 - $2.00 coupons = $2.58
Dove Shampoo $3.99 - $1.50 coupon = $2.49
Dove Deodorant 2/$7.00 - $1.75 coupons = $5.25

Used $3.00 off $15.00
Used $15.00 ECB's

Total before coupons/ECB's = $33.52 - $10.74 coupons - $18.00 ECB's = $4.78 OOP :)

Second Trip:

This is where I messed up - I purchase way too much for the Hershey's deal thinking the Pot of Gold b1g1f would only count for one and I think both probably counted, that's ok, I'm all set for Easter now.

Pot of Gold - b1g1f = 2/$8.95
Reese's Miniatures - 1.97 - $1.50 coupon/2 = .47
Hershey's Miniatures = $1.97
Hershey's Kisses = $1.97
Reese's Eggs (should of been $2.50) = $2.99

Brach's Jelly Beans - 2/$3.00 - .55 coupon = $2.45

Trial Size Pantene = $2.98

Revlon Mascara - $6.99
Revlon Eye Shadow - $6.99 - $2.00 coupon = $4.99
Revlon Eye Shadow - $6.99 - 3.50 (1/2 off) = $3.49
Revlon Eye Shadow - $6.99 - 3.50 (1/2 off) = $3.49

Used another $3.00 off $15.00
Used $22.00 ECB's

Total before coupons and ECB's = $60.74 - $20.00 coupons - $25.00 ECB's = $15.74 OOP :)

Total of both trips: $94.26 - $30.74 coupons - $43.00 ECB's/CVS coupons = $20.52 OOP

Tomorrow I should have 32 ECB's for next week.

:cheer2: I just returned with 10 bags of Hershey candy that I purchased for $7.09! And I will get $5 in ECB's.
I had the coupon from Good Housekeeping for $3 off $15 purchase and two $2.99 ECB coupons.
This is great for donating to egg hunt prizes!
(It was confusing though--the Hershey EGGS (small foil reeses, hershey foil and cadbury) are B1G1 and the other Hershey is on sale for $1.97. If you only buy the B1G1 you would get a better deal, but I NEEDED some York patties:laughing: ) System wasn't updated, but the cashier was very nice about helping me figure it out and had make the price changes manually. Glad she wasn't snippy as I am reading about a few)
I'm not as savvy as many of you. I need to work on my manufacturer's coupon skills, but I am still very pleased with my CVS deals. DH thinks it is both great and amusing.

I also didn't get the Aleve or Bayer coupons:guilty: I went through the entire paper again this money and nothing. I really wanted in on this deal.:sad2:

I edited the link again - hopefully it will work  If anyone has a problem PM me you email address & I can send it to you (I saved it on my computer).

Lol, just letting you know that the link now works for me (for Bayer form)...thanks! :goodvibes

Sarah,
My store treats me the same way whenever I print out ECB! They act like I am robbing them! So, now I ONLY use the ones that print from the register. I usually purchase a pack of gum with a coupon that makes them free. Or use some other coupon deal that will have me get the item for free.

So you are not alone!

Maggie

I am new to this whole ECB thing. I've had my card for over a year, but when I went to the website to try to print out my ECBs, it couldn't find me, so I don't have a choice but to print them at the store.

Just to clarify, if I bought stuff last week that should have ECBs, if I go in this week they will print out?

No. The company will not allow the rebate when they bought the monitor for you in the first place. ;) This was tested and rejected last year by many. LOL

for the buy 3 aleve/bayer/etc products listed and get $10 ECB...

if your store actually keeps a good stock of the monitors just buy 3 and spend nothing and get back $10ECB...I don't know why I didn't think about that on Saturday...I dont' use the monitors so I guess I was thinking usefulness instead of cheapness. LOL

darn! I wish I had thought of that! I bought the monitor, Aleve and one a day vitamins I was thinking of items I would actually use too and I already opened the Aleve (hurt my back the other day) so now I can't even return them :sad2:

What are you all doing with the monitors? I checked ebay and there are tons of them listed so that's probably out.
