The *OFFICIAL* CVS Thread - Post your CVS deals/questions here. *UPDATED OP*

Doing the happy dance here:banana: :cool1:  :cool1:

I just went to CVS on my lunch break to p/u RX. My ECBs printed. I got back $47.00 from last weeks purchases.:cheer2:

This is what I spent last week.

Total 58.00 (before mfg/ECB)
- 9.00 (mfg)
-36.00 (ECB)

OOP 13.00
47.00 (ECB paid back to me today)
$34.00 (they paid me toward future purchases)

My DH is slowly becoming a believer...At least this last time in the store he didn't run for the van and hide when I cashed out. He just shakes his head :rolleyes1 and says "I don't get it :confused3 :and I don't want to get it. :confused3 It would make my head hurt.:headache:

Gotta love CVS

Thanks, It's A Happy Day! I thought separating the Alaverts would be best if it worked because that $6.00 coupon says 'limit 1', so I could do two different transactions on different days, using the $5.00 off $15.00 coupon twice (once each time). Does that sound like I'm thinking correctly? :)

Yup, and by using the $5 off $15 coupon your making out even better!!! I didn't have any of those but my CVS did take 2 Alavert coupons at the same time and I did use a $4 off $20!

We just got a CVS so this is all new to me but it sounds great!
So you mean you were given $47 CASH? I thought they only printed out coupons or something?

Anyone care to give a brief summary of their program? TIA!

See page 4 - post #51 of this thread :thumbsup2

Page 1 - quick glance at that weeks sales, any other websites that have been usefull in obtaining CVS information, etc. I am trying to edit that weekly for the "big" deals - sale items, items that have ECB's, etc.

Sometimes there are regional deals or I miss some so everyones posts really help out all of us to maximise our savings! As well as each shopper looks at different things to suit their own personal needs and are aware of various coupons that we can add on top of these deals to save even more :dance3:

Thanks, thats pretty helpful but i still don't get one thing - do you actually get *cash* back? Or do the savings come back in coupons that you have to use there?

They are coupons that you use back in CVS.

This week I have $35.00 in ECB's but they are 5 different coupons and yes, you can use them all in one transaction. Make sure your total is equal to or more as they won't give you back change.

OK - my very first trip was last week. Spent $35 and CVS will be giving me $17 ECBs tomorrow!

I know it's nothing like the 95% some of you are savings, but I'm getting there! ;)

At my CVS I picked up (alongside my "free" listerine and cheap aleve) some stuff from their dollar section that was 50% off-might be good if you're looking for Easter Basket stuff. They also had a bunch of those "heart coupon" books.

My CVS had several flavors (although only peppermint in stock) of Chapstick on clearance for about 42 cents - if any of you use Chapstick I'd say this is a pretty good deal! I'm going to check another CVS when I go out to visit my sister.

I was quite proud of myself for getting several bagfulls of merchandise for only 99 cents after $9 in CVS coupons and $11.98 in CVS, not to mention the ECBs I'll be getting back in no time! (And a manufacturer's rebate, too!)
-- 2 Pantene shampoo trial size, 1 Herbal Essences conditioner, 1 Listerine Tooth Defense, 1 Vaseline Cocoa Butter lotion, 1 Oust spray, 1 Pledge Duster starter kit, 2 cans soupn, 2 Chapsticks, 2 packs gum (just so my total would actually be in the black).

Not all stores let you use more than one ECB in one transaction. My store will not allow this because it says "Limit one coupon per offer." or soemthing like that on them.

How true! To each store his own!

I think I finally figured out mine - 1 CVS coupon per item up to 3 CVS coupons per purchase. (CVS coupon means ECB or, say, the $5 off $15 coupon.)

I think the lady at the CVS is starting to get to know me. I'm always the one causing a scene!

I've read people saying this on other boards too. I've never had any problems using more than one ECB - I do make sure I have enough items to cover the amount of coupons I have since I've read that you can't have more coupons than items.

Just for the record...you can have 1 CVS coupon & 1 mfg. coupon per item. CVS coupons include ECB's, $4 off $20 type coupons, or basically any coupon produced by CVS. And you can stack them on a single item - like I had a print out for Tylenol To Go Tablets - $2 CVS coupon on $1 mfg. coupon - they stacked and I ended up getting back .50 (fyi - they are supposed to price adjust the coupon so the item is free not give money back ;) ) I had other items so I still paid a couple dollars total, so the clerk just missed it.

Went to CVS for my weekly trip and got 8 bottles of Purex clothes detergent (buy 1 get 1 free- so I only paid for 4).. Colgate toothpaste (free after ECB), Listerine Tooth Defense (free after ECB) 1 cottonelle 12 pk double roll toilet paper and 2 sticks of Soft & Dry deodorant (on clearance for 1.65 and I found 2 more $1 off coupons).. I used mfg coupons and ECB's.. It cost me around $5 out of pocket.. I'll get 5.98 back in ECB's and I still have over $30 in ECB's to use..

I went thru coupons today and will be going back for 2 of the Advil cold and Sinus (4.99 each and I have $2 off coupons for both and will get $5 ECB back and can send receipt in to get $9.98 back in my flexible spending also), 2 packages of Alavert (6.99 each and I have 2 $4 off coupons for both and will get $5 ECB back and can send in receipt to get $13.98 back from my flexible spending also) and then 2 of the Oust Air fresheners (they are on sale for 2/$5 and I have 2 $2 off coupons).. I will get out spending 0 because I will use ECB's and I will get $10 ECB back and then $23.96 back from flexible spending account. I may pick up some more Purex to add to my stockpile also..

I love CVS.. I think they are starting to recognize me when I walk in now.. :rotfl:

also just wanted to remind everyone also about the $10 ECB for filling 5 prescriptions.. I assume every CVS store is doing this.. I am 1 away from getting my $10 just by filling my medicines that I fill all the time.. Should have the last prescription filled early next month and then will get my $10..

Is this true? I did not know this and the last 2 times I picked up my prescriptions I didn't use my card :(

Lesson learned - thanks!
