The *OFFICIAL* CVS Thread - Post your CVS deals/questions here. *UPDATED OP*

I was wondering the same thing when I saw the post on the other board...not sure if I am brave enough to try that - I might go for the Excedrin in the counts the other poster did.

Liz

I got my $20 ECB, so they do round up.

Went today and my store didn't have any Viactiv. I will have to try back again later in the week.

Be sure to check both where the Calcium supplements are and where the Multivitamins are as they stock them in 2 different areas depending on what type of Viactiv you are looking for - I thought all Viactivs would be together but they are not.

Thanks - I only looked in the vitamin section. When I go back, I will check both places. Thanks

Here's a link for a coupon for $4 off $20 purchase - I printed it and brought it in and they did not question it at all!!! When you click on the link it looks like it is too small but when I printed it printed regular standard paper size. Expires 3/11/07

There are signs and some employees wear "ask me how to get a $4 coupon" (or something like that). Wonder if this is it?

Do your stores post signs on the products that give ECB. A lot of the offers in our store aren't marked in any way.

No. The ECB are not marked in the stores usually. You have to see them in the ad.

Sometimes you will find certain products marked with the ECB instructions - 1 example is Listerine Bundle packages - it has the ECB's back listed on the bundle package. But normally, no, regular ECB sales are not usually listed on the shelves or products, you have to look through the ad or go online and browse through the ad to see what is offered. Shelving only has sale price listed not ECB's back.

That is yet another reason I started this thread - so that if someone finds a great ECB deal, we can post it here to share with everyone else - example of this was last weeks Irish Spring offer: for every 3 you purchased you got back $4 ECB's & it was on sale for .97 so you ended up making $1 - total of a $5 profit as the limit was 5.

Before this week I had not put much thought into ECBs and sometimes even threw them away with my receipt.
Yesterday I purchased $20 Excedrin and the $2.99 Old Spice. (I found a $10 ECB from by chance buying lotion a week or so ago). So, when I return in a couple of days will I get $22.00 in ECB's on one coupon or will it be a $20 coupon and a separate $2.00 coupon? If two coupons, I will only be able to use one of them on my next purchase, right?

You will get 2 separate ECB's. At my local CVS - multiple locations - I am able to use multiple ECB's in a transaction. I have heard that this depends on your individual CVS's wether or not they will allow that but it seems to be pretty standard to accept more than 1 in a transaction. Just ask before they ring up your next transaction or call them and ask. Otherwise you can have them do separate transactions.

FYI - In Central MA here...

They are running a March monthly ECB special - purchase 2 pantene products get $2 ECB back - they are working on the trial size!!! So you are getting them free! I have purchased 2 and am showing the ECB's in my account! Rumor has it that limit is 5 (10 ECB's) but I have only done the 1 transaction so far. Good size to stock up on and use for vacationing or adding to the gift closet to add to presents!

ETA 3/9/07 got $10 back when I purchased 10 of the tril size pantenes!!!

Just curious... On the items that dont list in the ad about ECB such as the Irish Spring.. Nowhere in the ad did it say anything about earning an ECB if you buy 3 packs..

So how would someone know what items you can get ECB on if that item is not listed anywhere? Is there a way to find this??:confused3

I'm about to make my first purchase to cvs and was reading that the ecb would print in 2 days. what does that mean and how do i get them?????

There are some monthly deals and that is what the Irish Spring are. They started having these bundled packs (like 3 deoderants package together or 3 shampoos bundled together, etc.) and it says on the package "Get XXX extra bucks". Check your endcaps.

Another way to find out about the deals is just to read what people post. Some people will say "I bought XXX and I got the ECB for the YYY deal". Like this month, people bought the trial size pantene and it worked for the "Buy 2 pantene and get $2 ECB".

and just a heads up on the coupon. It's a rolling expiration date coupon. on sunday there will be a new one under the 3/17 date....you can see it in the URL where the expiration date is. change out the 11 to 17 and a new coupon will appear..not now but in a few days. ;)

Makes sense... Thanks..

does anyone remember that site that was listed a week or so ago that had the cvs sale prices and ECB info listed for the following Sunday?? Im curious what will be there for this week

families.com

Here is the link I use for them: http://deals.families.com/cvs,f533

This is where I have found the most/best information! I will advise that not all specials are available everywhere. The Kotex & LA Looks Gel deal I cannot find anywhere around Worcester, MA and someone had posted it looks like it is only TX and FL maybe that are offering this one so some deals can be regional. I believe you call the # on the back of you CVS card and ask them if they have any current monthly ECB deals and they can look up the information for you as well. I have not tried to call yet but that was the impression I got from other posters.
