it appears that there will be a DVD of some kind involving clay released on dec 14!!!!!! no one seems to know what it is just yet...i'll let ya'll know the moment i hear anything!!!

Last night while I was driving home, I was flipping the radio looking for traffic reports. I turned on a local station that I don't listen to much (little to lite/mello for me). They had just finished playing Kelly's new Breakaway song. The 2 dj (man & woman) started talking. They were commenting that Kelly was the most "successful" Idol and whatever happened to the rest, like Rub & CLAY. They said "you never hear anything about Clay." The lady then said "oh, he'll probably be *back* sometime." (It was just random filler dj talk, I don't think they were Clay "haters" or anything.)

I wanted to bang my head against the dashboard. YOU PEOPLE ARE IN MUSIC, YOU TALK ABOUT IT ALL DAY LONG, DON'T YOU READ???" How can you be so out of touch????

I know we go looking for Clay info, but I sure don't have to look very hard to find stuff. Near triple platinum CD, 2 very sucessful tours w/ shows selling out in minutes at arena type venue's, new book & CD coming out, his own 1 hour Christmas special on NBC. I wanted to pick up my phone & say, "where's Clay??? Just log into radiocity.com and check the events page. You'll see his picture in living color"..... But I don't talk & drive....

In a way I can understand what those DJ's are talking about. Other then this thread I have heard very little about Clay, since he was on promoting his tour with Kelly. Hopefully with the release of his Christmas Album & book there will be more in the "mainstream" about him. I would love to see him release a new song from his album and make a (good) video. Without there being a "current" song and video, people forget about artists. It is only the claymates/fans that are keeping up with what he is doing now.

Well, by the time I could get on the computer, Clay was sold out at MSG. I knew that was going to happen. I'm happy his show sold so well, but I'm sad I wasn't able to get tickets.

They did have a pre-sale. But I don't know who for. I didn't get an email from RC like I normally do and it wasn't for AmX.

Can someone please help me? I realize that the tickets for Clay's 12/10 concert aren't on sale until 10/30 but I want to be ready to buy them and I can't find anywhere online to do so . I checked ticketmaster and it isn't listed there and I tried to do a search for Oakdale theater and can't find anything that way either.

Someone please help me so I can FINALLY get to see Clay live in person .

Keep checking Ticket master. The ones for MSG didn't get posted until about 2 days before the show.

I'm going to try the Oakdale one too. They will have a link when it's closer to "buy" time.

A short story for you all:

My grandmother is in the hospital and has been since Saturday, October 8. She fractured her hip and then had a heart attack in the hospital, and things aren't going well. She's 94 but has been my angel for all of my 24 years. I love her more than anyone, and I hate to see her suffering like this. It was very sudden - I had dinner with her the night before all of this happened, just like I do every Friday night. Needless to say, Clay has been (for practically the first time ever) pretty far from my mind, as this has been the hardest thing our family has had to go through ever, even after my aunt died (unexpectedly after a month's battle with cancer) over the summer. With that being said...

There were two presale passwords - one was INVISIBLE (I got it in my WBLI newsletter) and the other was....I forgot what it was, but I read it on one of the boards. Either way, they weren't very good tickets at the time, or so I've seen reported. I lost touch with the internet world (and, therefore, Clay) last week as all of this happened, so I didn't even know about the presale.

I was going to tell you to go check the MSG box office while you were in the city, that maybe you would get lucky, but I wasn't online to do it in time.

My sister was able to snag me a pair in section 202 over the phone on Saturday...pretty far back, but that's ok right now. I hope that they release better tickets closer to the show, and that you guys will get some too.

Oakdale typically goes through tickets.com (not ticketmaster) for their shows, and they most likely won't show up there until a day or two before the onsale date. You may want to consider signing up for local radio newsletters though - KC101 and Kiss 95.7 in particular. They sometimes have presale passwords for Oakdale shows. I (obviously) would let you guys know if I got anything, but with everything that's going on, I can't promise I'd be able to relay the information in time.

Thank you, guys. The Dis is always good for a hug.

Unfortunately, I'm sad to report that she passed away last night, about an hour or so after we left her side. I'm sure she's at peace now, and I know it'll be tough for my family for a while, but I'm also positive that there's a new angel walking around today. And I'm sure she's enjoying a day free from the pain that plagued her legs for so long - especially on a rainy day like today.


Sorry to wreck the mood of this thread...but, you know, she did enjoy Clay. I brought my sister's laptop to her house a couple weeks ago and made her sit through some downloaded concert clips. I asked her if she'd go with me to his concert, and she told me, "Well, he's cute...but I'd rather go see someone I know, like Frank or Dean."

I love my grandmother. Rest in peace, Gram. We miss you.

I've been watching the Amazon sales for the past 2-3 weeks. Clay's CD and book have been pre-saleing quite well. His CD has been in the 8 - 33 range and the book 100-200 range.

I also noted that Fantasia's debut CD is 300 and Rub's CD has been tracking around the 1,000 range. humm............ I'm really suprised Rub's is so low. At first I though maybe people didn't know it was there, but there has been quite a bit of publicity about it and it's been posted at least 2-3 weeks..... Fantasia's, I don't know how long it's been posted. I just noticed it.

I also read an article about Clay's AI contract ending. Clay did not renew (obviously). I'll miss not seeing him perform on the next AI season. But frankly, AI needs him more than Clay needs them. Simon & Randy will just have to make fun of someone else. Watch out, Diana!

he is going to be presenting on the American Music Awards coming up though...that's listed on his official site!

Oh man!!! The Oakdale tickets go on sale at *10am* Sat!!

Once again, on a SATURDAY!!! Brittany has ballet on Sat's at that time. I guess it's just not in the cards for me to see Clay-boy!
