I didn't know that! They opened the lines immediately after the video played yesterday--we redialed for well over 1/2 an hour and never could get through. . .busy, busy, busy! Guess that explains why the phone line is busy after that too! I'm not too up on the ways of MTV these days.

The concert last night was awesome. Kelly opened and rocked the house. That girl has such an awesome voice and terrific stage presence. It felt like a good old fashion concert - just singing and interaction with audience (remember those concerts with no dancing, fireworks etc. - just talent?) Then it was Clay's turn. You can tell most of the arena was there for him. The crowd went wild - entered from the back of the arena and walked up through the aisles (with TONS of security) singing. Quite an entrance. He was witty, charming, did the cell phone thing and was terrific - so much better in person than the TV or CD. He did have a sore throat though, and towards the end of the concert did crack his voice and go off key a bit. He needs to rest it I guess. Someone from the audience threw cough drops on stage for him LOL! All in all we had a great time and would definitely see him again. You all who are going will have a blast!

That arena is very big isn't it? Was is about sold out?

Kimberle - believe it or not, we drove down from Rockland County and didn't hit any traffic until the Grand Central Pkwy. The east river bridges were no problem at all.

LOVETHATMOUSE - do I take it from your comment, Clay has doen the cell phone bit before? We were hysterical.

I want tp second the review, the concert was great despite the dive they performed in. Time to level that building. And they really need to lower the bass. I don't mind the volume, but the bass was going right through me - more so when Kelly performed.

hey everyone!!!

i just had my very first "cellcert"!! my friend called me on her cell phone from the DC concert and i got to listen to his whole set! he sounded wonderful...crowd was wild...he had a few lapses in his voice every now and then...but overall, he was awesome!!

whoever's going to a concert soon is going to have an awesome show!!!

Glad to hear everyone is enjoying the concert as much as I did. I downloaded the clips from The View and The Today Show.....he's so wonderful!! How could people not love him??

Yes, the stadium is quite large, and they are starting the redo it. Just redid the ladies room (thank goodness!). The arena is home to the NY Islanders. There was talk I believe of a new stadium, but haven't heard anything lately.

gometros - yeah, I have heard he does the "cell phone bit" every show, but what a great thing to do! I loved when he went into the audience to make contact with them. He hugged one of the girls in the front row (she had downs syndrome) and you can tell by the look on her face she had hit the lottery!! Clay really is adoring to his fans.

I can only see him getting better as time goes on, but he needs to take care of his voice - that cracking/off pitch at the end was horrible! I felt so bad for him. Should have either cut out a song, not pushed his voice so hard, or pulled the mike out of range when he tried to hit the notes.

Clay's video of "The Way" made it to number 2 yesterday on TRL. Here's hoping it hits number 1 today.

Did anyone see the interview Monday on 20/20? Pretty nice interview, nothing new, just a nice interview.

How is "The Way" video? Anyone seen it? Is it basically him singing?

Sounds like his tour is going really well. Sell outs, or near sell outs in most markets. Also seems like most of the crowd is there to see him rather than Kelly.

Does anyone know how Rub's album sales are doing?

i like the video for the way. it's him singing here and there, but it focuses on a few different couples and how they show there love for each other.

i'm so bummed...we have dish network and we've lost mtv. i can't watch TRL to find out where he's at on the countdown until the dish people and viacom gets their acts together!

enjoy the show for those of you heading to columbus tonight! wish i was going too!
