Hi everyone!

I'm so mad - I watched Nick last night, hoping to catch the Holiday show, but ended up watching Roseanne and Cosby instead. My cable guide said it would be on, too.

Grammy nom's just announced, no Clay. I was hoping he might be nominated for best new artist.

Maybe he's not eligible this year? At the top it said that a record must be released by Sept 30, 2003. I'm pretty sure it was *Oct* before Clays CD was released. But he did have a single earlier this year. Does a single "count" or do they need a full lenght CD?

Rubin was nom. in a R&B category.

i'm a little late today...we had an appointment for our house this morning. had to do a walk through inspection...and then our home owner's orientation is next wednesday...and we should be closing on or around monday the 15th!

clay sightings...hmmm...well, the ones i know for sure are sunday the 14th for the billboard awards...and then the disney parade on christmas. i'll consult my other boards and post it here...

A single can count. The talk is that they went for Justin Timberlake over Clay. The Powers that be at the Grammies were looking for a young performer. Yes it stinks that Clay wasn't nominated, but next year he should be a shoe in with his CD sales.

DECEMBER 22 - Clay performing at the Hurricanes Game (televised locally?)
DECEMBER 23 - American Idol Christmas Special - (Fox) - Clay is host and performs solo and with others (Rerun)
DECEMBER 25 - GOOD MORNING AMERICA - (ABC) Chrismas special with Clay singing

I am embarressed to say that I have never heard Clay sing (don't watch much TV). But, I was rooting for him as I am from Charlotte. He will be here on Dec. 20th to graduate from UNCC. There is quite the controversy as because he is attending the university is limiting graduates to 7 tickets and many students are upset since they didn't announce this until AFTER graduation invites were sent out. Someone also scalped one of the tickets for over $100 on e-Bay, UNCC is thinking of prosecuting (it is against the law to sell a ticket for more than $3 over the price in NC). i couldn't access the article without registering and i'm too lazy to do that right now...lol

i can sympathsize with the graduates begin upset not being told about the limited number of guests allowed until AFTER the invites went out...

but...i totally agree with UNCC as to why they are limiting the number of people attending the graduation...if i were one of the graduates, knowing that there was a celebrity also graduating, i'd be thankful for the limited invites! otherwise, it would be an absolute media frenzy...and a graduation is not the place for that!

am i the only one who thinks this?

....if the Patsy Aiken of Chez Ami of Raleigh NC (childrens clothing line)/Chez Ami is related to Clay? Isn't Clay from Raleigh, NC? I recieved an order from there yestersday and noticed the Aiken from Raleigh connection. Could be just a common name though. Just curious. He was my fav on American idol too.

I can sympathize too since the invites went out. But I never heard of a graduation that you could have unlimited guests!! In my area 4 people is usually the limit. Jeez I would have been thrilled to have 7 tickets!!

I just read on another Clay message board that he is at a WDW resort hotel sick in bed with bronchitis. Hopefully he feels much better for the parade filming.

Here is my opinion on the UNC-CH thing --

Students had to have known with Clay graduating it was going to be a mad house --

and --- If it is like any graduation I have ever had in the state of NC -- you were limited on tickets anyways...

Plus -- if you have a huge family like me -- you just ask your friends graduating who dont have anyone coming for there tickets

Everyone needs to stop whining and calm themselves

Everyone hates graduations anyways...

Clays cousin (my hairdresser) is pregnant! yeah...

She said Clay was the first person she called (before her mother!) -- They are really close...

hmm... any more gossip that I have heard!

this is huge but it is not official yet

Clay is (cross my fingers) making an appearence at a show at my school in Feb.

A few years back he was in a show called the "Country Music Showcase" at my school (which I will remain nameless - as to not spread something unconfirmable) anyways -- after his AI fame came about - we decided to induct him in the Country Music Showcase Hall of Fame this February... Well -- I am an ambassador at my school and one of our advisors (who is also a producer of the show) mentioned something about how it is a huge possibility that Clay will come to the show to accept the honor, she said the least he could promise to was a video message accepting it - but he told his agent that "That would not do"!

Can you imagine!

Clay at my school!

And as ambassadors we have to give visitors tours!

Which means that my chance to be Mrs. Aiken is as close as "to your left you will see our student Services Office!!!"

oh my -- I have already bought the latest issue of Bridal!!

But even with bronchitis the Claytonaiken.com message board has a minute by minute recap of his performance taping today at the train station in MK!! They said he sounded wonderful and will upload video from the two girls at the Kingdom later today!!
