OK this is totally off topic, but :
I'm going to be a grandmother to twins!!!! Stepson and daughter in law have gone through alot to have a baby(ended up doing IVF) an today we found out its twins.

Gee I can create new Clay fans from the start!!!

Everytime the expectant mom comes to visit you..play Clay's music..it's NEVER too young to start them as fans..have you suggested Clay as a name in case one is a boy?..lol!..best wishes to the family for a healthy pregnancy..and congratulations to the new "grandma"...2 for the price of one..wtg!

Thanks Guys!! I love my stepkids(DH and I got married when they were 5 & 10) The best part is being a young grandmother and having the energy to enjoy them!!

Due date is end of july or beginning of august.

Hooray for babies!! Your babies can be friends with my new baby cousin!! I'm getting a baby cousin in June!! This the first baby in 20 years on that side of the family! ::happy dance:: My sister and I will have to ask to babysit a lot... and begin the Clay brainwashing!!! Mwa ha ha!! j/k. Anyway, I can't imagine how excited you are! I hope everything goes wonderfully for them!!

I am so glad to have found this thread. I have about worn my Clay Aiken CD OUT!!!! It is SO fantastic! I love every track.

Some of Clay's songs remind me of Kenny Loggins, another fave of mine!

I think that Clay is cute in that All American Boy sorta way. He reminds me of a cross between Danny Bonaduce and
Ron Howard, and I loved both of them growing up! My 9 year old LOVES him, too! I would rather he like him than some of the other recording artists out there right now!

My suggestions for CD's would be as others have suggested:
An all Clay Christmas CD
Covers by Clay (he did so well on A-I, I would love to hear him cover more of others recordings).
and of course another 50 or so of original recordings!


I just can't get enough. It is about time they had a recording artist who has good values, a great voice and is a good showman.

In other Fox news, the network will tap one of its biggest franchises for another special with the Jan. 1 broadcast of "American Idol: Life on the Road." The hour-long show will give an inside look of the U.S. concert tour undertaken earlier this year by the show's second-season finalists. It will be followed by the second part of the "World Idol" special competition launched on Christmas Day.

TRL is Total Request Live on MTV. people vote each day for their favorite videos and then it's counted down each night at 5pm. i can never remember, but i believe that phone votes count for the same day but online votes count towards the next day.

i don't really watch the whole show...i peek to see where he's at on the countdown and then i reset the vcr for the next day...

clay was on TRL last week....he was adorable as usual and performed invisible for the gazillionth time. poor guy must be sick to death of that song. can't wait til he releases a new one!

Yes, TRL is on MTV. Its like a fan daily count of their favorites. Question, do you think Simon will have the same amount of credibility as he did last season? I mean, he said , in so many words, that Clay would never make an american idol. But look at Clay now? Do you think he'll be able to sway the viewers votes???

RE: Simon: Yes, I do. He's not always "right". He did bring us the Teletubbies......

I'm dying to read his book. I've read clips in articles & reviews. He said that Clay is/was the best thing that ever happened to AI. Apparently he talked about all 12 finalists from this years show. I think that he, Randy & Paula really make a "balanced" panel. It just wouldn't be the same w/out 1 of them. I can't wait to see next years show. The new contestents are going to have some pretty big "shoes" to fill!

I tuned in after Simon was on, but from what I hear he's been pretty complimentary (cough- backpedalling-cough). He's now saying that Clay is the best thing that ever happened to American Idol, but people who win shouldn't expect this kind of fame. I think since his book is coming out he's decided to be nice to Clay and hopes the "Claymates" will buy his book!!!

good to read the news about Clay but
WHAT TIME is TRL on and is it on everyday?

Brandie could you post an updated list of all future Clay appearances that you know of..... I'm afraid of missing something
