Looks like Philly is the closest venue to me. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for an Atlantic City date. We'll see!

Did you see, that guy who had the "affair" with Clay finally admitted it wasn't true. Cource, the media isn't "interested" like when he first lied.....

Yeah, I saw that, Kim. I love how everyone just forgets about it though - ridiculous. Maybe we should post a main thread about the retraction, since the original topic was so hot here on the DIS!!;)

RUMOR has it that there are negotiations for shows in Wallingford CT, Newark NJ and Omaha NE. No other info is available on those yet, so don't get too excited.

I'll continue to update this list as often as I can as I hear new info. Green dates are those not yet on sale, red means they're onsale.:)

NJPAC is a beautiful venue! OK, so Newark isn't the best, but have you BEEN to the Mann Music Center in Philly??? If it's the place they used to call Robin Hood Dell, then that is the scariest neighborhood I've EVER driven through, and I used to work in the projects and visit the projects of NYC without fear.

WOOO!!!!!! This could be our 3rd trip out to Columbus for a Clay tour. :) Unless he adds a Pittsburgh date of course! Thanks for being on the ball Kylene (and happy belated birthday!). :) Last summer without a Clay tour was weird.....

FYI: There's a Clay show at Hard Rock Orlando...maybe some of us can fuse our Disney and Clay love!!

Well, needless to say, I'm jealous of all you kids who get to see him, cause I don't. I hope you'll all report back with GREAT detail (and pictures!!). :thumbsup2 Here's to pixie dust for good seats for you all!!

Now, with that being said....

I'm pretty sure Clay is sabotaging our relationship. And, fine, I'll take some responsibility, on account of the fact that I've spent the last five weeks telling anyone who would listen about my love for Blake Lewis (who, if for some reason you aren't watching, is currently on American Idol). What can I say? I'm smitten.

Anyway, I think Clay discovered this and has responded. First there's no tour stop within reasonable distance for me. At all. And that goes for all of my CT friends.

But now? Now he's grown a full beard. Ok, so he's saying it's for his UNICEF trip, so that he fits in better with the people, but STILL. I can't pretend to love it, and he knows that. GAH!!

Anyway, he was at the BAF Charity Gala last night, which did a great job to raise money for the foundation. You can read more about it here: http://www.wral.com/entertainment/story/1255075/

There's also a video link of Clay at the site.

Please, boys. Let's not fight over me.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's gained weight this past year.

Any news on the NJPAC show?

:cool1: WooHoo!!! I found some Dis'er Clay Fans!!!

I've seen him in concert 10 times and am planning to go to Columbus this summer... we are trying to get a bigger group together to go in together for table tickets so if anyone is interested, let me know!

:rotfl: I hope you haven't grown a beard, too Gail!!

Funny you should ask - I just got back from vacation (excellent Cruise on the Wonder - ringing endorsement for Debi and the Dreams Unlimited team!) and apparently they announced two new dates yesterday:

Saturday, July 28 - Newark, NJ NJ Performing Arts Center
Sunday, August 12 - Knoxville, TN Tennessee Theater

There's no info re: ticket onsale as of yet.

Welcome back from your cruise, Kylene!! I'm so happy to hear that the cruise went so well. I do want a full trip report!!!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make either of those dates. Newark is a bit too far of a trek for me, and if Newark is too far, then Knoxville is definately too far. I'm still holding out hope for an Atlantic City date!

Well, I am getting older... No full beard yet, though. :rotfl:

My not seeing Clay do a "regular" show streak has yet to be beaten - of course I'll be visiting my other obsession when he's in Newark. I've said it all along - I knew that's when he'd be here. I'm used to it by now. :sad2:

How did his last CD end up selling? It didn't seem like it was going so well....

Has he said anything about a new CD? I sure hope he records orginal music next time!

Hi everyone;

I haven't posted in a while RL gets in the way! Just wanted to give all a "heads up" that Clay is scheduled to be on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. He'll get some couch time, but won't be singing -- Billy Joel's daughter is! I'm going to TIVO it and watch tomorrow. Kimmel is on way too late for me :)

I'm pumped about the concerts this summer and even though he won't be coming to CT, my daughter and I are going to do a road trip and see 2 of the NY concerts. We'll head up on July 18th for the Rochester concert on the 19th (stopping to visit a college for Kim on the way), and then head over to Chautaqua for the concert there. For the Rochester concert, I actually scored 4th row tickets:banana:  Now all I have to do is sell the pair I bought in the pre-sale which weren't as good.

Hope all of you have a chance to see our boyfriend too!

Anyone else going to see this tour??

:sad1: No. That's my niece's 1st birthday. Not to go into my DH's dysfunctional family too much, but if we missed it there would be no telling the amount of crap we'd take for it.

They best be happy I'm missing Clay for that!!!!!!

Anybody heard about this? Idol: The Musical about to hit Off-Broadway...

When my friend first sent this to me, I thought she was joking. Apparently not:

http://www.glitteratigossip.com/glitterati/clay_aiken/index.html

Those "Claymates" are at it again - and this time they've actually inspired a new off Broadway musical.

No kidding.

Clay Aiken fans (aka "Claymates") are the focus of a new stageshow, titled, "Idol: The Musical." The project is being described as "a satirical musical comedy that focuses on the outrageous and delusional fan base of American Idol".

The show, which is reportedly set in Ohio, follows a group of devoted high school teens who are obsessed by "American Idol" and also Clay Aiken. To pass the time, the group gather in a barn to 'worship' a shrine to Aiken, who represents their dreams of leaving home and becoming stars.

I swear, I didn't make this up.

http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/06/20/american-idol-and-clay-aiken-inspire-new-musical/

Several American Idol alumni, such as Fantasia and Diana DeGarmo, have taken their musical talents to the Broadway stage. But now, Idolmania has actually inspired an original Off-Broadway show called Idol: The Musical. The story revolves around a group of outcasts that idolizes Clay Aiken.

According to press notes, the show is described as "a satirical musical comedy that focuses on the outrageous and delusional fan base of the hit television show." As one of American Idol's delusional fans, I personally would rather see Clay Aiken appear on Broadway. I'm not a hardcore Claymate or anything, but I truly think Clay was born to play the part of Peter Pan.

As for Idol:The Musical, the show will begin previews on July 5, 2007, at the 45th Street Theatre. Ticket information is not yet available.

Saw that, Cookie...and have no interest in seeing it, lol. I'm actually sorta shocked that Clay's name is actually used - I wouldn't have expected his people to be ok with it.:confused3 I hope someone here goes to see it just to report back about what we're missing. lol :thumbsup2

In other news...dates are trickling out for the Magical Holiday Tour.

So far...

Nov. 26 Wichita, KS -- Central Christian Church
Nov. 30 Kalamazoo, MI -- James W. Miller Auditorium
Dec. 4 Wilkes-Barre, PA -- The F.M. Kirby Center
Dec. 7 Albany, NY -- The Palace Theater
Dec. 19 Minneapolis, MN -- Orchestra Hall
Dec. 20 Minneapolis, MN -- Orchestra Hall

I'm sorta bummed I don't get to see him this summer. I thought I would be ok, since I got front row tickets to see Blake :lovestruc , but the reality is...I miss Clay, too.

*sigh*

When are you people going??
