The Official Bachelor Thread ~ Deanna comes back!

I find it odd that Melissa's friends haven't met her parents. To me it seems they found some old college friends or something who are now married. It almost seems as if she is a bit estranged from her parents???

I have a feeling Melissa is a party girl and has dated players and has been into the club scene (which is fine...she is a young girl that was a cheerleader.) Personally I don't think she is the type that I would choose to live my boring life with me and my kid.

Didn't she say something in the past about being a kindergarten teacher when she grows up? Has she gone to school to get her education degree or is this just a nice thing to say on camera?

I heard Deanna say something like 'I know you havent proposed yet and I made a mistake"

I dont know if she is giving him advice about making the right choice or asking for another chance.

I sure hope she doesnt want another chance but why would they show Jason all upset and crying?

He is in his suit when he is crying and in a checked shirt when he is talking to Deana. I think he doesn't want to hurt the other person he doesn't pick and it shows how hard it is to make that decision.

Well...I think Deanna must come back next week because he greets her by saying 'What brings you to New Zealand?' That's the location of the over night dates.

I can't blame them for not having the show at Jason's actual house. If you were him would you want people to get a good look at what your house looks like?

I was VERY happy to see Naomi go. Her family was quite bizarre. I'm not a fan of Molly. I think her family seemed nice but they have a certain snootiness about them. I don't think Jason is capable of being snooty.

I like Jillian and her family. I also like Melissa but think her parents are a little weird. Honestly though, while I find it strange that her friends have never met her parents...it leads me to think it's not all that weird for Jason to not meet them. I think her parents are just VERY different. If that's the case then I don't think he needs to ask for her parent's approval if he's going to propose. It would seem they wouldn't have much say in the matter in light of their LACK of involvement.

Well if it isn't at his real house no wonder Ty didn't want him to leave that one night he had a date with Melissa as well.

I agree, I think he is crying right after he send the F2 home

I really hope he ends up with Melissa. She seems really sweet!
Me too!

Thanks for posting this - unfortunately the post remained unchanged and I just had the pleasure of reading it (and have managed until today to avoid that particular spoiler). Not a happy camper. :sad2: Spoilers are supposed to be posted in white!!!!!
I agree.

I am sorry but when have we been regulated to posting spoliers in white? As I said in a post long ago, spoilers have always been posted. It is an internet message board for crying out loud. Usually the title lists spoilers too doesn't it?
It's not a matter of being "regulated"...it's just courtesy. Some people don't want to know what the speculation is, whether the spoiler sites are right or wrong. Providing a link to something on a spoiler site, with a notation about what it is, is OK...that way, people can choose to read it or not. Same with the info in white, with a spoiler alert.
Just because YOU want spoilers doesn't mean that everyone else wants to read spoilers. Many people like to be surprised when they watch a TV show and those people also like to discuss the show through the current episode. Why spoil that for them?
Exactly. People can openly talk about the current episode, because the West Coast knows not to read it until after they've watched the show, if they want to be surprised about the current episode.

I've been around the DIS for a long time, and that's what has always been considered acceptable and considerate of other people.
As far as spoilers No one knows for sure what is going to happen. Spoilers come from screencaps. I think people are getting to worked up over them. The only people who know for sure what happens is Jason and the girl he picks.

ok whatever...I don't think I have posted any, I just don't see the hang up, every reality thread I have been part of on the DIS has posted spoilers, including what is happening on air, which would essentially be a spoiler for the west coast right?
As I said above...the threads I'VE been on, the courteous thing to do is always to give the option, in some way, for people reading the thread to choose to read about spoilers, through white font or a link to another board. The West Coast "gets it" about avoiding discussion about the current episode until after they've watched it.

Maybe the projected "winner" won't actually win...but she IS down to the final 3, so that in itself gave us too much information and kind of ruins the fun of watching the season.

I'm rooting for Molly - I just really like her for Jason, but I do think she is holding some part of her personality back. Jillian is my next favorite. I never thought I would ever say that, but she has come to grow on me. Melissa would be third on my list for Jason. I do think she is rather young for him and may not really be ready for it all, but he does seem to be quite taken with her. Frankly I don't see how somebody could propose to someone without meeting their parents - Are they not allowed to meet them offscreen?
I too thought it was a bit strange that he was able to spend some one-on-one time with Melissa after the dinner with her friends, but no one else after their respective families met.

I don't think this is a spoiler for anyone. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr...sion/news/e3i1399f628c24f49a28e7e75611e5138aa

"Bachelor" fans, get ready for more drama.

With the relationship series blazing in the ratings for ABC this season, the network has ordered a one-hour special to air the day after the finale.

The events in the show's regular three-hour conclusion are dramatic enough to warrant an additional hour, creator Mike Fleiss said.

"It's going to be shocking," Fleiss said. "The end of this series is the best we've every had."

"Bachelor" normally airs a one-hour reunion special called "After the Final Rose." Last year, the reunion actually drew a bigger rating than the finale itself, an unusual occurrence in the reality universe.

On March 3, ABC will air the tentatively titled "After the Final Rose: Part 2," including additional interviews with bachelor Jason Mesnick, the woman he chose and the woman he didn't pick.

Now in its 13th edition, Fleiss and Warner Horizon's "The Bachelor" is defying ratings gravity by growing its numbers nearly every episode. Season-to-date, "The Bachelor" is averaging 10.1 million viewers and a 3.7 rating among adults 18-49. That's up 28% in the adult demo compared with the same point last year; the show also is drawing its largest audience in nearly five years.

Fans have responded to Mesnick and his young son, and having a single dad as the bachelor has brought new elements to the show's narrative. Although not officially renewed, Fleiss is confident "Bachelor" will return and is working on its creative for next year.

"I can't think of more than a handful of shows that have reversed a downward ratings trend like we have," Fleiss said.

And given Mesnick's popularity, Fleiss didn't rule out the possibility of viewers seeing him again.

"Maybe we'll do a wedding special," Fleiss said. "The couple seems pretty happy

Uh-oh he better NOT be picking Deanna - sounds that way though - unless they just want us to think that.

I'm still rooting for Melissa!!

I'm hoping he chooses Jillian. I seem to be in the minority in favoring her, but I think she is the most real and mature of the three. It seems like she and Jason could be really happy as a family. I don't think he would have pulled her out and questioned her if he wasn't really serious. Obviously, he was pleased with her answers. Also, LOVED her family!

I'm a little afraid of this big SHOCK--what could it be? Please, tell me he has too much pride to go back with DeAnna...........:scared1:

ITA - have loved Jillian since day one and the hot dog test. She is kind, caring and REAL. Not to mention mature & loving. I like Melissa as well just think she may have originally been on the show, to be on a reality show again? As for DeAnna :scared1: please say it isn't so!! She's fickle!

Could someone in a nut shell tell me what happened between Deanna and Jason? I did not watch last season.

Nothing has happened yet. We are still waiting for her to appear on this season.

Ya'll don't really think she is the one he picks do you?

I apologize, I meant last season. Its snds like Deanna was / is a piece of work.

Jason and Jesse were the final two. She picked Jesse.

He was upset that she let him get down on one knee and start to propose when she picked Jesse. He was really hurt that he wasn't picked. It looked like he had the best chance of winning too.

I hope he picks Jillian. I also agree with how he could pick Melissa without meeting her parents/family. Some of her close friends haven't met them either.

I liked Jillian's family the best. I think they would be the best together, but I think they are not as close as him and Melissa are.

How could he pick Deanna? He better not! It's been to long. He shouldn't go backwards!

Maybe he has a change of heart after sending one of the final two girls away and he asks to have her brought back
