*** The Official August 2016 Thread! ***

As I've said before we will be in Disney for my Son's 6th birthday and my sisters 40th. I already plan on ordering cakes for their birthday dinners but does anyone have experience with any of the companies who deliver gift baskets to Disney? I know Disney floral does baskets but I was curious are their any outside vendors that anyone has used and would recommend? Thanks for any input.

Hi everyone. Going in August for the first time in about 4 years, need to prepare myself for the heat! Dates are 20-27 Aug, split stay between All Star Sports and POR :yo-yo:

It has been 7 years for me, I love the heat but the Humidity gets me. Just being sticky all the time haha, but flights are cheaper, and it is easier for me to get time off work mixed with free dining so I will have to deal with being sticky

We've used Disney floral and gifts as well as Memories by Betsy. She does beautiful work. If you google 'memories by betsy' you will see samples of her work. Good luck. My DD's loved getting surprises delivered to the room:-) The only thing is that outside vendors can't include food (like rice crispy treats) - at least I think this is something I remember.

Thank you I will check her website out. It's been awhile since I've used Disney Florals (we are usually there around my birthday and I don't sent myself stuff ) are the delivery fees astronomical?

I believe it was $20-$25 for the first basket and $7 for additional baskets. The prices of the merchandise ordered are the actual prices that Disney sells their products for. It is still expensive though. It's probably comparable in prices to Disney Floral and Gifts.

So just wondering how much does it actually rain we are planning on going for the last two weeks of August next year. I think we can prepare for the heat it's can be pretty hot and humid here. I also am used to thunderstorms but does it rain every day or just sometimes. Does it pour all day or mostly just late afternoon? The rain is what has me worries or even a hurricane

Count on an afternoon thunderstorm every afternoon. Not all day rain. celebrate the rain it does clear out the parks for a bit.

Bought an AP and originally did so for a January trip, but when a friend also bought one...we booked an impromptu trip in August. :) We're gonna hit 49 days tomorrow!

49 days tomorrow for me too! Are you staying at All Star Sports too?
